My fiancé and I called to schedule a hitch installation for a new pop up trailer we got. we called around and got a bunch of quotes before deciding to go with B & M because they were slightly the cheapest but could more importantly get us in the soonest as we had a camping trip planned for the upcoming weekend. We got the car back and it wasn't until the following day when we were getting ready to hook the trailer up that we realized they never installed the wiring harness... What good is a hitch without a wiring harness for our trailers break lights??? We would have NEVER gone there if the wiring harness wasn't included in the installation quote? I called to figure out what happened (hoping they had just forgot I guess) and spoke to a very rude rep that basically told me we were informed that thlet wouldn't perform a wire installation on our type of vehicle (Porsche Cayenne) because there was too much liability. Again, we would have never gone to them if they couldn't complete the job ESPECIALLY when we had other companies stating they could do the whole job for $50-$60 more than they charged... Ended up having to cancel the camping trip and now searching once again for a company to complete the wiring for probably double what we would have paid... Terrible experience, do NOT recommend. read more

B and M MAY perform good work. I don't know. But their business practices are horrible. For TWO WEEKS prior to my appointment, I emailed and spoke via telephone with them regarding the part I needed to have installed and the resultant need to adjust my weight distribution hitch. Upon arrival, I was told they could install the part, but wouldn't have time to adjust my weight distribution hitch. Huh? That was part of the deal! I backed my trailer into position to be worked on, unhooked, and departed to await completion of the work. TWO HOURS later, B and M called to tell me they couldn't do the job because the part was nowhere to be found in Phoenix, and it would take a week or two to get the part. UNBELIEVABLE. FOR TWO WEEKS WE EMAILED AND DISCUSSED THE NECESSARY PART AND THE JOB, and B and M waited until an hour AFTER my arrival to even look for the part! THAT, friends, is p-poor business! Unacceptable. They had ample time to get the part. Needless to say, since I live hundreds of miles from B and M, I immediately hooked on and departed, disgusted with the whole ordeal. i asked for contact info for the owner, but was only given his business card with the same telephone number and email address that the receptionist/admin girl uses. DO NOT GO HERE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! I recently got a towing system placed with this company and they CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD!! When I noticed the cracked windshield I called and they told me that they would look at the cameras and see what happened. Long story short they never called me back I had to keep calling they accusing the vehicle of already being cracked when the vehicle was purchased less than a month ago. IF YOU VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT GO HERE. They then told me they magically don't have the tapes anymore. Then when I tried to escalate the situation to the owner he's no where around they told me to come in at 11 and he would be here he wasn't and they wasted my time. They were the ONLY place I called (and I called about a dozen) that would install my awesome Curt class III hitch on my BMW X5 diesel Matt the owner's son answered and he was very friendly and straight forward. He Dave me a flat rate based on an hour and a half but he said if it took an hour it would be cheaper. I researched the Current factory installation video and they confirmed it was 1 1/2 hours. I picked out up and it looked sweet but one black plastic rivet was missing so I brought it up to their attention and they fixed it on the spot with no issues when though it s after quitting time. Very friendly guys. I thing most of their repeat clients tend to be older and work for a living and don't spend ( waste) time giving reviews on coffee shops and overpriced restaurants but that young crew ( most of whom can't even check their own oil or God forbid change their own tire) are the ones who don't understand pricing and welding, fabrication or even what's involved with installing a hitch properly. I am a former firefighter and army combat veteran, mechanic and driving instructor so I actually DO! These guys are very reasonable and friendly. But their location is not ideal if you don't live on the west side. Drop your vehicle of EARLY to avoid the traffic! Best trailer hitch place that I know and they sell only qualify, rust resistant stuff. Strong five stars. 3 for location. read more

Last week, about 13 months after this incident with the trailer rack, which was only about 4 months old, fell off the back of our travel trailer we finally met in a courtroom. We did reach an out of court settlement before going in front of the judge. Doug was very apologetic about this going as far as it did. An interesting point would be if this problem were solved a year ago there would have been nothing to apologize for except the actual loss that was incurred. Instead of focusing on the lack of welds and lack of quality Doug chose to focus on false accusations of me or someone else tampering with the rack. Had welds been used (as the way the new replacement rack was built which has lasted quite nicely over the last 13 months and was built by someone who really knows how to weld) instead of 2 bolts we would not have had this issue. The real test of character is not necessarily a job done right, any job can and should be done right as that is a basic expectation. The real test of character is what happens when something goes wrong. Doug, you failed miserably!!! Had this problem been addressed instead of stonewalling then again, we would not have had this issue. read more

I needed a hitch for my Honda CR-V and called around some shops to get quotes. I called B&M after calling U-Haul, as U-Haul couldn't get the part I needed for 5-7 business days (presumably because of COVID-19). B&M told me they could get the part next day and the price was only slightly higher than the local U-Haul. B&M got me in for my appointment the day the part arrived- the next business day. For my appointment, I was in and out of their shop in an hour. I really enjoyed the staff- we chatted while my hitch was being installed and he even quoted me on some other projects I had in mind. This is an excellent small business, and I couldn't have had a better experience. Have used this shop several times and they always lived up to what they said they would do and charge. I took a truck in to have the air bags replaced or repaired and they found a bad crack in the frame of my truck and did not charge me a dime. The owner tried to add additional labor costs to our agreement, and then tried to guilt and shame me into paying it when I called him on it. When that didn't work, he started taking it out on his employee, blaming her for the additional charges, and then accused me of wanting him to work for free, and telling me God was going to punish me. Went down there and spoke to the guy behind the counter for putting a gooseneck in my new dodge pickup, very knowledgeable and friendly, we ended up going with them for the purchase and installation, quality work got it done same day and we where towing by that night, these guys are real stand up and had a great price. B & M were helpful in picking our the right tow package for our needs and gave us a very competitive price that included everything that we needed. Just returned from B&M Hitches in Glendale. I was quoted over the phone the cost of $200.00 to install my hitch which was previously purchase from them. When I got there I was told that I needed a new bracket kit and that the new price would be $450.00 for everything, out the door. They needed to order the bracket kit but they could do the wiring now and I was to return tomorrow for the hitch installation. After the wiring was completed they gave me a bill for $530.00!! They used to be a reputable company when they were on Bell road. I don't know how they stay in business now. Only kids working in the office now and not very professional. I will now be doing my business with someone else who honors the price that they quote. read more

Called and got a quote for having my hi hacker 5th wheel hitch installed. Was quoted $290- $320 from jerry. Called back week later Made the appt with Jacob and added installing pigtailed for electric etc. Would be addition $185. No problem.Dropped off my truck and hitch night before appt so they could work on it first thing in the AM. About 30 min later after I'm home I get a call from them they miss quoted me $200 less than what it is going to cost. How do you not know what your doing after serving the valley for 50yrs like their claim is. Told them to not do work and I would pick up my truck next day. BM Bumper in Glendale is the wrong place to do business with. I had a complete disaster dealing with them on a simple wiring job for a winch on the front of my Jeep. I was quoted a 1 hour job plus the cost of 1 small part . This was after a couple of phone calls to James and having sent them photos. They also wired my Jeep last year in June for the same winch to be used at the rear of my Jeep. I had no problems then. So, they were already familiar with my vehicle. I supplied all other necessary parts as I did on the previous wiring job. Basically, They did not have the part that I was told by James that they had. They had trouble finding someone who had the part. They found the part available at a local Napa Auto Parts store. I was told that I had to go buy it from Napa which I drove approximately 3 miles to and had to pay for 3 unnecessary other parts that came with it. Mike their foreman told me that I only had to buy the 1 part that I needed. When I got back with the parts I told Mike what happened at Napa and he said ," that's strange because we don't have to buy all those parts in the past" . This was after I was already sitting there for an hour before they even decided to get involved with my Jeep. And I had a scheduled appointment with them. They told me that they would take off that cost from the installation price ($42). They did not. And I gave them the parts and the receipt because I had no use of the extra parts. It was a 1 hour job and I was there from 8:15 am - 12:30 p.m. . They quoted me $100 and the cost of 1 part (+/- $17). The job cost me $115.00 and $67.00 for all the parts ( which were given to them after I paid for them at Napa). A total of $182.00. A complete rip off. The only reason why I paid them was because they were holding the keys to my Jeep. read more

Had some serious problems with our three axle 5th wheel suspension. Being full time rver's from wa state this needed to be repaired quickly the brackets attatching the axle were bent and about to fail . An rv shop in the area wouldn't touch the project and recommended B&M the staff there was super friendly and rebuilt our suspension welding new brackets on in one day and got us back on the road. OK so I called them last week on Wednesday December 10, 2014. To see about the coat of a hitch for our new Mazda CX 5. They quoted me for a class 3 hitch that it would be $300.00 dollars. We show up at our scheduled time of 930 am. We show up and they tell us the don't have the hitch yet they r waiting for ups or whoever. They say well have u had breakfast and give us directions to a place close by to wait for it to come. We show back up about 1030 and ups was Just delivering. So we check in and give them keys we then sit down out side and continue to wait for another 30 minutes or more my husband finally went in to ask them what was up. They finally came and stated about 5 minutes later. So we go up to pay my husband goes out to check and they put a class 3 hitch on not a class 2 like we asked for which was cheaper. So my husband says something and they say well it is only a 20 dollar difference which is nor what we where told on the phone. We told now we would have to buy a new receiver and ball. So he says they will give one. So I go to pay and he says it is 365.00 dollars. I look at the recipe and they charged us more then they quoted . very disappointed and pissesd read more

I've been having B&M set up the tow-vehicle assemblies on my motor-homes and tow vehicles since 2005 and couldn't be happier. Whether I'm setting up a new Jeep (all my tow vehicles) or a new motor-home, Mike and Luis have always done a fantastic job. In several cases they needed to customize the attachments on the front bumper so I can connect directly to the bumper and put the detachable rock guard panel on the front bumper to keep rocks from hitting the front of the Jeep. Their work is EXCELLENT and looks totally professional, not some half-a** garage job. I don't let anyone else do this work and never will as long as I live in the Phoenix area. They are reasonably priced and a great team. I have referred several good friends and even my company to them for work on hitches and trailers for the company scissor-lift.
