    Called for service on a washer, response was quick and the visit was prompt. Based on my experience I would highly recommend.

I can't even make this up…read more We called Lakes Appliances and purchased a standard electric range in white We requested that they pick up the old and drop off the new range/ stove! The value for our money was excellent. This range had everything we needed, and the service experience was top-tier. The communication was excellent at all times and when a slot opened up to be able to deliver our appliance earlier than expected, the excellent communication continue on. Everything has been wonderful and consistent with Lakes appliances. My only regret, is that we haven't ordered from them more consistently in the past 18 years that I've lived in this house Usually, it is trouble to get any appliance or furniture in and out of our doorways because they are right on the marker for the measurement, but when I explained to the delivery man, I didn't have to worry about a thing they didn't slam into my walls or break anything or do anything that would concern me or make me worry I had consistent and constant peace of mind. I am not sure if you've ever had to worry, but this level of peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. I could not thank the manager any more than I already did. I stood there and told them of the great care that their delivery men took, and they acted like my home was their home and they were not only respectful and careful but in no time flat, everything was changed out and they thoroughly explained to me how to make sure the new stove needed to be on for about 45 minutes and that if I smelled anything that was nothing to be concerned about because it is the oil from it being a new appliance Before they left, they went through everything regarding the stove and they had me look it over and give them the OK once I was happy. They provided me with a registration card and told me about the warranty in depth. They were very thorough and I am so grateful because even though I knew about most of these things, they took the time to adequately explain to me so that I understood. I will look no further the next time I need an appliance they're amazing customer service and great professional Care shine through and is worth its weight in gold and I cannot stress that enough that we will only shop at Lakes Appliances from here on out We are not only honored and happy to provide this review of this wonderful business, but appreciative for the great experience that they provide provided us with. Thank you is not enough, but I hope that you get a greater understanding of how much these people truly care when they come into your home and deliver an appliance

    Had my dryer serviced on July 13, 2010. Johnny was very cordial and advised that the timer knob on…read morethe dryer was broken. He said the part needed to be ordered. I waited for one week, heard nothing, so called Lakes Service and the woman who answered told me that the part was on order and as soon as it came in I would receive a call to set up an appointment. OK - I waited another week -now it's July 27, 2010. I called again. Spoke with "Crystal" who said she would get back to me. Crystal called back later that morning and stated that she "just got off the phone with their parts distributor and said that the part was actually sent out the beginning of last week, but UPS doesn't have a record of it leaving the warehouse and unfortunately UPS must have messed up on this one. However, the distributor was sending parts out today (7/27) and they should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Received a call Thursday 7/29, part was in and a serviceman would be out to install the knob on Friday 7/30. It took all of 30seconds for "Paul" to remove the broken knob and install the new one. Total cost $110.75 and over 2 weeks of waiting. Very likely that if I hadn't kept calling I'd still be waiting and without a working dryer. I understand that because I'm not handy that I have to pay, but the runaround I received was unprofessional and deceptive. I will never use them again nor will I recommend them to any neighbors, friends, or family.

    I strongly recommend avoiding Mr. Appliance at all cost…read more I contacted them to repair my Sub-Zero refrigerator and was quoted $129 for the service call over the phone. However, when the technician arrived, I was charged $179 instead. I agreed to the repair, but shortly after the technician left--within 20 minutes--I called back to cancel the service, as I found another technician who could do the repair the same day. Initially, I was told that canceling wouldn't be a problem. But about 30 minutes later, I received another call informing me it was "too late" to cancel. I asked to speak with a manager. When I finally reached her, she told me she would adjust the service call fee back to the original $129. That credit was never applied. Two days later, I was told the part had arrived. But when I called to schedule the repair, I was suddenly told that the part hadn't even been ordered. After putting me on hold to check, the representative realized her mistake and scheduled the service for October 8. When I asked for a time window, I was told simply "all day." Again, I asked to speak with a manager. I was promised a callback within 24-48 hours. It never happened--despite multiple follow-up calls and text messages on my part. The technician eventually returned on October 8 and completed the repair. Then, on October 9, I received a call from the district manager clearly only because I had left negative feedback. When I explained the situation and mentioned that I had been requesting a manager for nearly two weeks, he claimed this was the first he was hearing of it. He made no effort to investigate what had happened, and his only solution was to offer a free service call in the future like I would ever want to use them after this nightmare of lies and unprofessionalism. This entire experience was frustrating, disorganized, and unprofessional from start to finish. Communication was poor, promises were broken, and the level of customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend Mr. Appliance to anyone looking for reliable, transparent, or respectful service.
