My hair was very long and thick which resulted in the appointment being over 8+ hours! Jaylene was very patient and cared about my hair. She did not rush the process and showed a lot of detail and created such great work in the end! I am highly satisfied with the results and my hair feels lighter and fresh. Haircuts for my son are usually done at home bc finding a safe space with a professional that understands autism is hard to come by. I believe it's important to expose my son to typical experiences (like getting your hair cut at a salon), so when I came across Chelsea's video on Instagram, I jumped to it quickly. Her salon is clean & simple (not overwhelmed with colors and decor like a kid's salon would be) - which is perfect as my son is easily overwhelmed. She had a cart of sensory toys for my son to play with & allotted for extra time to get him comfortable with her before she started his haircut. She did everything to prevent any autism tantrums or meltdowns my son could have possibly. He did amazing! This was the best my son ever did with getting a haircut! We couldn't be any happier with the outcome. We live on the opposite end on the valley from The Beauty Lab but will be coming back for the amazing service.

The biggest issue wasn't just the wait, but the lack of professionalism and communication throughout the process. Nurse Tammy listened to my concerns and came up with a plan which was very conservative for now. She said we can always do more if needed. It's been almost three weeks and I'm so happy with her work. It's exactly what I was hoping for. She is very skilled and very professional in the fact that she won't oversell you or make you feel like your input is not important. I'm so happy I found her and I hope if you are looking for the perfect nurse/esthetician you go to the aesthetics lab and Nurse Tammy.
