We ordered mozzarella sticks and burgers and everything was good! Service was friendly and we got our food quickly.

Hidden little bar/dive near "downtown" Colby. I guess I never researched well, but have stayed in Colby dozens of times on business and never found my way here before. Was pretty much all locals, but was a spot at the bar, so I took it. Guy behind the bar was serving drinks and running the grill, but did a fine job. The burger was great. One of best I can remember. Same goes for the onion rings, crispy and well seasoned. Beer was cold, great food and service to keep up. Will be back.

Great place! Stayed in Colby on my way to the east coast and I'm glad I stopped here. Happy Hour is where it's at. $1.25 mug drafts & $2 well drinks. Had a delicious double cheeseburger with fries for around $7. Props to the three ladies who work the grill behind the bar, bartend & serve all the tables in a timely fashion. They even have three pool tables in the back.

Not sure why the locals love this place. I come to town for work and I try new places and this one just does not seem to sit with me to food was not that great and just a small-town bar grill and just I don't know not my I was not a fan of it

    This is it.

This is my go to place for burgers and pool! The food never disappoints. Reasonably priced and far better than going to fast food places.

Colby, Kansas, March 2026…read more The small restaurant has 10 tables. It It sits on the corner of an antique strip mall. Pretty basic inside the restaurant. The salad bar is located right next to the one and only bathroom. The menu has many sandwiches to choose from. It has fewer entree selections. The waitress was new the night we went. She was nice and extremely helpful. She was an older lady, and I only say that for clarification of the other waitress who had long black hair with ponytail. Tried to get her attention a few times, and even though the restaurant is extremely small, she passed by as if though she did not see us. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the fried chicken. Both came with an ice cream size scoop of mashed potatoes and corn. The potatoes and chicken were covered in a white gravy. The chicken was hot and tender. The mashed potatoes were flavorless as was the gravy. The meals are also accompanied with a roll. Butter is in individual packets on the table. The chicken fried steak was thick and had little breading. It would have been better if it was a thinner pounded steak with more breading as that was more traditional to my liking. When they bring your check, it comes with a warm chocolate chip cookie. Cute idea! The ambience was odd and not welcoming. The location was rather depressing. The food was OK. I would give this place overall 3.5 stars.

Lots of things in town were closed so we were super excited to see the place open. Our family of 3 included our 13-year-old daughter in for dinner after a long day of hiking and outdoor adventures. Could not have been happier with the food and service. Everything was clean, folks were friendly, and the food was awesome. Two of us really enjoyed fried chicken buffet. Besides chicken it came with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, and scalloped potatoes. Everything was fresh and taste just like your grandma made it. Also enjoyed an amazing mushroom Swiss burger with fries. Everything was fresh, meat quality was great, cooked to perfection. Would totally eat there again!

We didn't come because of bathroom ratings, but those reviewers that mentioned the poor bathrooms understated conditions: There was not toilet paper or paper towels. Not good. I had the prime rib sandwich with tater tots. As I said, the tater tots were good. But the prime rib sandwich was much too spicy for my tastes. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. It did have Sriracha sauce so I probably should've avoided it. I love prime rib, but this was just OK. Not a super generous portion, and not something I would order again. My sister had the shrimp taco special and did like them. Shrimp were fried. My dad had a small burger and tater tots and did enjoy it. If you're in Oakley passing through as we were, I would skip this place and go with Sonic for food. Of course the owners / proprietors can't control this, but there was a loud and profane group of 4 young men at the bar (at 1:30 PM, we were there for lunch) who used the F word every third word. That situation normal for many bars. I'm sure. I'm just saying this isn't a place I would bring small children. Two of five stars because of the friendly service.
