    B Seafood Benny

I had lunch with my brother The ambiance is rustic decor with a large mural on the wall. I had a seafood Benny and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The service was excellent with our order being taken and food arriving quickly Everything was great.

Last time I came for happy hour. Today was Car Free Day on the Drive and I was hungry. I ordered the Bangkok Benny. The flavours definitely remind me of Thai somtum and lemongrass chicken. The eggs were poached perfectly and had good silky yolk.

Visited B House for the first time on a whim one Saturday evening. Most memorable dish was their bang bang shrimp! My partner and I also ordered the pork belly bowl and the Korean chicken (not pictured). We both liked the bang bang shrimp the most and I would 100% order again the next time I visit! It was the perfect level of crispness and the sauce paired well. The plating was phenomenal - made it look like a high end dish. The service was great, server was really quick to clean up the table and take dishes away. He offered to switch tables when it was getting too bright from the sun.

I was excited reading the reviews for this place! The food sounded amazing, and couldn't wait to give it a try! In saying that, the reviews didn't say much about the service. The service sadly is what brought my review wayyyyyy down. The girls who were our servers, were condescending, impolite and really made our dinner not as wonderful as the food was. If the food is amazing and the service is amazing, you will always have a line out the door. If one of those two is lacking, especially in a foodie area like Vancouver, where people are going to spend their money where they want the most for their buck, it won't last. So hopefully servers like Deja And Lucy can get some more training in giving better service, customer care. Now for the food! We tried a bit of everything, and it was all delicious. We had the pork belly bowl, the dragon noodle bowl, the steak and frites and the tofu bowl. The flavours were all delicious and portions decent. The steak was asked to be cooked medium rare to medium. It was overdone. We found out later that Deja wrote down medium. We ordered two papaya salads to come out before our entrees, they came out after the entrees. again, it wasn't noted that we wanted them before our mains. All in all, we won't be back, as our first impressions just weren't enjoyable.

Great brunch place to meet up with a friend. Located on commercial, this restaurant has a cozy vibe when you enter. They had a variety of brunch items from benny's to breakfast bowls. They also had other things on the menu such as tuna tartar to vietnamese chicken noodle soup so it took me some time to decide. The traditional brunch had an asian twist to it which made it fun to order. I settled on one of their popular items which was the classic benny with pork belly. All bennies are served with english muffin, two poached eggs and roasted potatoes. The food did not disappoint. The english muffin and roasted potatoes were toasted just right and so were the poached eggs. The pork belly was interesting and pretty good.

My friend and I met up for brunch here. I'm glad we came here as they had many options during the lunch hour. The service was good, and the staff were very friendly. The interior felt warm and casual. Overall, the restaurant was clean. We had the b house breakfast bowl and the dragon noodles bowl. Both were delicious. I'd love to come back and try other menu items.

Came here on afternoon and ordered the bang bang shrimp, wings, and a few cocktails. The food looked amazing, but flavors were just ok. The drinks were mostly mid as well. I really wanted to like this place since the reviews and pictures looked so great, but overall the flavors just didn't really hit for me. While I was here there were only 2 other tables seated and the service was still slow and took a long time. I would expect things to be faster since it was so empty, I would hate to think what it would be like if it were packed!

Chanced upon a post on IG and decided to try it tonight. Chef is very creative. Vietnamese fusion was quite epic. Very interesting dishes that were far from what I'm familiar with in a regular Vietnamese restaurant. I specifically liked the Spicy Sushi Bombs and the Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup. Service was good. The lady kept coming back to check on us. She recommended popular dishes as well. Just learned that they opened 2 years ago and Covid hit. Ambiance is very clean and bright too. Will be back to try other dishes. There's quite a variety.

Saigon Caesar, B seafood benny, B House breakfast bowl

I love Asian fusion cuisine and had an incredible weekday brunch here. They serve brunch every day until 3pm. I also love supporting local businesses and Hung Nguyen is the chef and owner and he was also our server. I started off with a Saigon Caesar, which is a Caesar cocktail with soy sauce, lemongrass sour & lemongrass. If you enjoy Caesars, you need to try this. I ordered the B seafood benny: eggs benny with seafood croquettes, duck fat potatoes and truffle hollandaise. My hubby ordered the B House breakfast bowl: sliced beef, bang bang prawns, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, duck fat potatoes, poached egg and truffle hollandaise. The poached eggs on both dishes are topped with pearl caviar, which is made in house from red beet juice. The seafood benny was delicious but I loved the B House breakfast bowl and would highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to going back to try more dishes off their menu.

The food tasted quite good and the quantity was great as well. The ambiance was perfect, they also a patio setting which is really great in summers and the location is perfect as it's very accessible by public transport. The service was slightly slow probably because they were understaffed but i would still visit them again!

Great food, great price, great location! Easy online booking for 5ppl. We came for an early dinner before catching a show at the Rio. Come for happy hour 3-6pm, $5 drinks and $6 small plates. All delicious, I had a highball, the tuna cups, pork taco, and seafood croquettes. It was so good and best part was the $25 bill incl taxes! The pork taco was so juicy, albeit a bit messy, but so worth the mess. I want to come back to try their brunch!

You could miss B house if you weren't looking for it specifically. But it has a nice decor and atmosphere when you dine in. The food selection on the menu was creative and the service is attentive. I thought the tuna tatar and Bahn mi was good.

Was great! Nice atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and had a wonderful twist on the usual dishes. Will be back for sure.

All dishes we had were flavourful and executed with precision. We were seated near the open door for the patio and the staff did not hesitate to offer a blanket for the chill. Our waitress was super sweet overall too; happy to have had her. Soft shell crab (4.7/5): perfectly crisp, delicious and fun to get hands on to eat as well. Bone marrow (3.8/5): immensely flavourful, maybe a tad overpowering, but also a messy but enjoyable eating experience. Crab fried rice (5/5!!!!): THE PERFECT RATIO of crispy bits, umami, soft rice volume, and refreshing green onion topping. Without the sauce, the rice was already perfectly savoury. The sauce was heavy on spice and soy so we added it sparingly in our own servings of rice, but definitely loved adding it in. We tried to keep the crab intact in its own little pile to maintain the texture as well. Perfect fried rice experience. I forgot how much I LOVE rice, but this dish revived my passion ~ Garlic noodles (4.3/5): HEAVY on the garlic, rich and creamy mouthfeel. Great texture on the noodles having been slightly charred during the fry. Great choice as well. Three Layer Dessert (4.8/5): I've never had anything quite like this. All components were delicious and executed well. A texture lover's wet dream. My personal take was that the streusel was a little too much, but the taste of everything together was top tier - loved taking little bites of each component. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Lunch Lady's bib gourmand is well justified across the board. All my love to the LL team, they're quite honestly the best ever.

At work, my coworkers occasionally pre-ordered their lunch at said 'the pho place' down the road, and I would ALWAYS know what they're having because the phos were so aromatic throughout the entire open office - very drool worthy. And by all means, my coworkers raved about their satay pho (next on my to-try list). I drove past a sandwich board heading home one day and it advertised something along the lines of happy hour pho - yes please! As a quick bit, this will suffice. With the happy hour menu, I had the OPTION to pick one of their 3 signature phos. For a first timer, the classic pho will really put the restaurant to the test! My classic pho was served in a prompt manner, served with the classic sprouts and sides, it was piping hot, and I really liked that the noodles were not overcooked and still retained a bit of bounce to it. All in all, it was a solid bowl of pho - served with a nice selection of classic meats: meatballs, sliced beef, tendon, a few pieces of tripe etc. The service was great a well, the lady manning the store was very speedy with service, friendly, and attentive. The only awkward thing is the location, it's a tad difficult to maneuver into their parking lot and the space are a wee tight, but that shouldn't ward anyone away. Cute little gem in hood!

The…read morerestaurant's mid‑century modern meets jazz‑club interior, with glossy wood, curved banquettes, and attentive lighting, is genuinely striking and elevates Chinatown's otherwise gritty streetscape. We were really excited for this dinner but our a la carte start didn't land as hoped. The Octopus Salad arrived notably salty, dominated by a hon‑dashi‑like punch that overwhelmed the otherwise tender octopus; its pairing with a bright parsley sauce felt discordant rather than balanced. The Tonno Mantecato was similarly heavy: closer to a warm smoked‑tuna potato salad than a refined crudo, its saltiness was intensified by the large amount of tobiko on the bruschetta. Portions run modest but the premium pricing accentuates the disconnect between expectation and flavor execution. We were further taken aback that half of the four mains on the menu were unavailable despite our early reservation within the first half‑hour of service. Being funneled toward chicken left a diner's question unanswered: why travel to a celebrated fusion restaurant only to eat something you could easily make at home? Service was uneven. Our server's brief, awkward question asking if it was my partner's birthday that night and responding with "cool" without even a "happy birthday" as a response was a missed opportunity for the warm hospitality this tier of dining usually delivers. I would verify dish availability as the a la carte menu and omakase offerings rotate, and mains can sell out early, it seems. They said they only prepared 5 servings of fish that night. While a visually gorgeous date‑night backdrop, the food is hit or miss and it's maybe not the best pick for milestone celebrations based on our experience.

I recently had a multi-course dinner here and it was one of the more creative tasting menus I've…read moretried in a while. The meal had a lot of thoughtful presentation of Italian and Japanese cuisine and interesting flavor combinations. Lighting and ambience-- we were sat next to a bar. Staff were extremely friendly and answered all the questions. We started with the Union Bay oysters, served with wasabi sauce on one side and kimchi sauce on the other. The oysters were extremely fresh. The octopus course was beautifully prepared. It was grilled, smoked, and deep fried, paired with pickled radish on the outside along with parsley, a clam purée, potatoes, and croutons. The Hokkaido sweet potato croquette came with a tartar-like sauce, and Venetian soft cheese. The croquette itself was crisp on the outside and creamy inside. Next was Miyazaki A5 wagyu, served with basil sauce and pickled cabbage as a palate cleanser. The server recommended trying it without sauce first, which I agree with -- the beef is rich enough on its own. Flaky salt was offered if needed, but honestly it didn't need much. The Hokkaido uni omelet was probably the most visually creative dish of the night. The egg was glazed and you're meant to cut it open in the middle, where a yolk breaks apart and spills out. It's a really cool design, but flavor-wise it was a bit too rich for me. There's an extreme amount of butter and cream, and I personally felt it would have benefited from some rice or something to balance it. The Siberian caviar tajarin featured handmade Italian egg noodles with chives and caviar. Simple but very luxurious. Amazing fresh noodles. Later we had Australian A5 wagyu, sous vide to medium rare. On top of it came parmesan on one side and black truffle on the other, in a red wine jus. Another extremely rich but delicious course. The polenta, rolled in potato breading with corn emulsion and turnips, was a nice savory transition before dessert. This is a traditional Italian dish, but I'm not the biggest fan of starch. Boyfriend absolutely loved it. Dessert was a unique combination of pistachio, yuzu, olive cream, and quince. The olive cream (sugar and cream based) was surprisingly good and the citrus from the yuzu kept it from being overly heavy. Overall, the meal was creative and thoughtfully executed. Some dishes leaned a bit rich for my taste, but the presentation and technique were impressive throughout. Definitely a memorable dining experience.
