Our server did not stop by to clear dirty plates until we were about to pay our bill. Skewers and hot pot did taste good for what was available. There was enough variety to keep things interesting. Lastly, I enjoyed not having to cook my food. There were plenty of parking spots available during the weekday lunch hours. Overall, I prefer the Burnaby location more.

The gyu-sushi was kind of a disappointment - it was like a roast beef slice on rice with some seasoning. Unfortunately, the place didn't look well cleaned and maintained. There's a time limit for all you can eat however with one stove and us not knowing that the vegetables came raw and in full foiled packages, it took a long time to grill anything. Our waitress came over many many times to remind us about the time limit and even then... we were well over our time limit even though we only put in two rounds of food. One stove shared between six people was awful. It's not like our stove could cook any faster even if the waitress rushed us. We were even ending the meal with s'mores and the waitress couldn't wait any longer and brought over the bill. We had to put down our s'mores stick to pay the bill so she could leave us alone to finish the meal... the restaurant was not busy, there were plenty of empty tables and there was no one waiting in the lobby. Did not appreciate the service here. Overall, food was greasy and not memorable (as I just tried a different grilled meat spot a few days prior). The portions were weird. Most of the dishes were severely under portioned so we made sure to up our portions for round two. Our time was up before we could even put in our final round three order. The staff also didn't respect some of the items. We put in ice cream on the first order as people wanted to use it as a grease palate cleanser and it was only when we followed up with the waitress did they say "oh we thought it should be served at the end of the meal instead since it's a dessert". The place is not very big as you'd guess from outside and it has its own parking lot. Medium sized interior with mostly booth seating, and the entrance is narrower and expands to the back. It's a personal hotpot so each person gets their own stove and order their own soup base. Ordering is done via a tablet. They also have cooked dishes like skewers, fried mantou and other things on the menu in addition to the hotpot ingredients. Some of the items cost extra and are labeled with the cost. In the center, they have the sauce bar, desserts bar of mostly Chinese jellos and also an ingredients bar with things like spam and quail eggs. I got the satay broth and it was decent. Ingredients are served reasonably quickly. The quality of the meat is decent. The milk-marinated beef is actually soft, and the usual sliced ribeye, lamb shoulder and pork belly are fine. The cooked dishes are decent as well, as we tried their pork trotters, fried mussels, and lamb skewers. The selection for hotpot ingredient is as you'd expect for an AYCE place, but the cooked food selection is a bonus. Definitely stuffed myself and was a satisfying meal on a cold winter day. Not the cheapest meal, but not a solid value.

We were mindful to not waster food, so we rather go up multiple times to select our items. The hot pot items in the refrigerator included a variety of greens, seafood, vegetables, and some meats in chunks/balls. A taro flavoured ice cream was served as a dessert - so good. With tips and tax my portion was $42.00. Service was good. We came hungry and left stuffed!
