Rant and warning! I dont ever down talk a buisness on line…read morehowever people need to be warned. I took my daughter to sulas hair extensions on rt32 in central valley. We have been loyal clients for about 10 years. My daughter has very kinky gorgeous curls. She had highlights done twice before by sula (she has never had any other chemicals in her hair prior). For her 16th birthday i brought her to the salon for a highlight touch up and a trim. When i picked her up her hair was completely colored(very light) and dry. After 2 days of having a blow out she washed it with her regular shampoo and conditioner. This is when we saw all the damage. My daughters hair was fried, clearly over processed, and the curls destroyed!! Sula left the foils for too long and then put a permenent color in her hair to cover it up. When i picked my daughter up ( i have a small child and sula doesn't allow children in her shop so i couldn't go in) sula came out to my car and offered a deep conditioning treatment on the house in the future.. (clearly she new she did wrong).. so fast forward to today.. i brought my daughter to another salon to cut and try to fix the damage. I called sula to discuss the damage she did. She laughed and said "what do you want me to do." She blamed it on my daughter and the hair stylist that is currently attempting to fix her hair. I requested my money back at at the very least an apology instead of laughter. She said "well that's not going to happen" i told her i will take her to small claims court and she said "go ahead im busy".. then hung up. My daughter has been crying for 4 days. Hopefully in time the curls will return and the damage reversed. This is the worst experience i have ever encountered. And the lack of professionalism, empathy, and decency is appauling to say the least. It is clear why sula only takes cash and never gives receipts. Her buisness practices are shady and she doesn't want a paper trail. So be wary of Sulas hair extensions in central valley!!

I just happened to search the "Coldspring" location on Instagram while I was house/pet sitting and looking for interesting things to do/see. I found some posts of beautiful hair colors she did on her page. I made an appointment for the next day. I don't live in Coldspring, I live in the Bronx and work in Manhattan. I've been to numerous Manhattan salons over the years, but have never found a stylist I felt comfortable going back to. I highly recommend Tyler. I also now use the shampoo from them, which is great and all-natural. Normally I would be intimidated by this kind of high end atmosphere, but everyone is so kind and friendly and down to earth. I will keep coming back as long as Tyler is working here. I enjoy her company and her talent!
