If you need parts, advice, or even complete motors, these guys kill it. There's a no bullshit way about how they do things. They don't oversell, but they do give you the option of there is any upgrade available in a given scenario. Along with buying parts, I had a case welded/cleaned/pressure tested here and could not be more impressed with the work that was done. They also overhauled a crank for me and it turned out excellent. Simply put, don't buy your shit online, these guys are an excellent resource for parts around here and from all that I can tell, you won't be saving much by going online. Great concept and new location…read more These guys moved from a small leased garage to a much bigger abandoned business on the East side of Provo in 2016. They are a DIY shop where bikers of all ages come to buy, donate and refurbish bikes. First time going I spent three hours working on a used Raleigh road bike. There is usually 2-3 staff members around and one will usually greet you. The trick here is to Quickly ask questions, find a spot to work at and be patient. The guy working admitted that he wasn't very experienced but together we fixed the bad wheel. Spent about $20 for his assistance. A week later the wheel was off again. I brought it back (2 hours more) and worked on it with a more experienced guy. Spent another $20 Rode it once and off again. Recently found out that they gave me the wrong wheel. Went back but no wheel was available. Great concept and open on Saturdays. You can also donate used bikes here.

I got there like 30 mins before they…read moreclosed and I was expecting to have to leave at 6 but Sam took a lot of time with me to get my bike all fixed even after they had closed and to make sure that the problem won't happen again with my gear box wire. He allowed my daughter to play with some toys he had in his shop while we chatted. He was very welcoming and pleasant to talk to. He told me he was backed up by a week to which I told him that was fine. He then came over, immediately identified and showed me the problem, said he could fixed it and that he'd tried to have it done quickly since I assume it was an easy fix. We left and I got a text later the same day. I wasn't able to return until the following day (today). He welcomed my daughter and I in again. His youngest daughter was there with him and the 2 girls went to town playing while Eduardo and I chatted a little about his work and different things. I found out it's his shop and that he and his wife run it and a few of his kids help too. Anyway, I paid him for fixing my son's bike. A simple 35ish bucks and he told me I could probably send the receipt to the bike company (Guardian) and that they'd likely reimburse me the money I paid for having him fix it. I half jokingly said "well then you should charge more" and he replied with "we do alright and I don't like to double dip". I would have paid this man more for his service. He was pleasant, nice, very professional and obviously highly honest! After paying and getting the bike loaded back into my car he invited my daughter to stay longer to play if she wanted. I sat and watched both our daughters play for another 15 minutes or so. He and I chatted a bit more before we thanked him and his daughter and left. Please go to this man's store. While on vacation in Utah with our car and two road bikes, we had a…read morevery serious car accident and our bikes flew off the rack and landed harshly near our totaled car. My husband had to spend four days at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo for broken vertebrae, ribs and sternum. I had to retrieve the broken bikes from the tow yard 2.5 hours away and then figure out how to fly back to California. So glad I called Hangar 5 in Orem! Preston Weeks answered my call/cry for help and graciously greeted me in my rental van with all the contents of our road trip including the broken bikes. He took the dirty bikes from the van and agreed to clean them up and inspect the damage, which allowed me to fly back to California with my husband. Two days later he sent us a detailed inventory of damages to the frame and components for each bike. Subsequently he meticulously packed up both bikes and parts at our request and shipped them back to us so that we could salvage all that was still usable. Since we are not local to Orem, it was exceptional to experience this level of consideration and service. All of you locals are very lucky to have such an amazing bike shop and team members like Preston Weeks to take care of your cycling needs. I highly recommend this shop and if we are ever in the area again, I will definitely be visiting Hangar 15. Simply amazing!
