I really enjoyed talking with her - she was super-knowledgeable about home inspections and walked me step-by-step through the whole process, and then managed to move things around to get us on the books for the next day! They even set-up and handled the billing for another company to take care of our termite inspection (since the house was in Howard County). Our inspector, Mr. Guy White, arrived on time the day of the inspection, and he was incredibly detailed and thorough as he explained his inspection techniques and the resultant findings. One of his findings was a little plumbing leak (we were amazed he found it). He traced that "little leak" and found that it ended up right on top of the house's electrical panel! I can't imagine the costs to our safety (and to our finances) if Mr. White hadn't been there to discover that problem! The seller fixed all the problems noted on the report and we completed our new home purchase just last month. I got a response from Mark on 05/11/24, and we talked on the phone for over 5 minutes to discuss the location of the house, the best time to do the inspection, and the prices. He was patient as I asked many questions, and I never felt rushed. We decided to the home inspection on 05/13/24. On 05/12/24, it rained very hard, and I was concerned about the new house since it is located next to a drainage system. Fortunately, Mark was doing another home inspection in the area and dropped by to take some pictures for me, mind you, I did not even ask him to do so. He just thought it was a good idea to do so since he was in the area. He sent pictures and confirmed that the basement was not affected. I appreciate this so much as it gives me a peace of mind. On 05/13/24 Mark, my realtor, and I went to the house for the home inspection. Mark is very thorough and meticulous with everything. He took his time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. He even spent around 5 minutes on the roof to ensure there is no problem with it. He also did the radon test for me. At the outset, the situation was a bit unusual. We are renting this home with an option to…read morepurchase. So we wanted an inspection to know if there was any pressing issues with the home before we made a decision on the option. So we didn't want a typical home sale inspection, nor is this review reflective of that type of service. Let's start with the good. This company is very easy to communicate with. They are responsive and easy to reach out to. Joseph (who conducted the inspection) is also very personable. He did a thorough review of the home and even gave us some thoughts on how we might re-design, paint or structure the rooms in our house. Finally, the price was great, He understood the unique needs of my situation and adjusted it to a reasonable rate. My big issue came after the inspection. I negotiated the receipt of a report prior to the inspection as the landlord would need a copy. I had to continuously follow up on this after the inspection and then ask him to add issues he identified that I had written in my own notes but were not included in the report. Although I finally got a report, it took a lot of effort on my end to receive it (and it was a bit less comprehensive than I hoped for).
