Located in the cool little public market of downtown Redlands is a little restaurant in a building of restaurants. It's located just a couple feet past the entrance. Lots of seating and we got lucky w a live band in the patio. FYI parking is a little hectic there. Everyone was very nice, from the cashier to the manger as we ordered. Here are the items we tried out: Mac n Cheese: nice texture, good portion, great truffle flavor Not over powering. 8/10. Loaded fries: these were really good! Big, thick cut fries, nacho cheese, slaw, house sauce, chicken and pickles. Next time I would probably do without the cheese. Baba's hot chicken sandwich: tender, juicy, mild heat, they put a little too much slaw which took away from flavor, but still smashed it. All in all, it was good, not outstanding. I will definitely be back to give another try

Food was great and service was fast. Restaurant is located inside the Redlands Public Market. Many seats available and the ambiance is very social as the Market can get packed. Food arrived after 10 mins from ordering. The Mild spicy level is pretty spicy. Would recommend this place! Mini Chicken Sandwich: 4.5/5 Mini Loaded Fry: 4.5/5 Cup of Mac & Cheese: 4/5

We came to the Redlands Public Market for a date night. Street parking in front of the market is free for 90 minutes, but it does get full quickly, especially during dinner time. We recommend parking at the parking structure a block away, which is also free! Overall, there were a lot of options, so it's perfect for a group outing when everyone's craving different things. We got the mild chicken sandwich with a side of grilled cheese. I thought it was pretty cool that they had a variety of side options. Overall, we felt the food was a little underwhelming. The chicken sandwich looks crispy, but the flavors weren't all there. Perhaps we should've gotten a spicier version. The grilled cheese is a little misleading since the cheese wasn't very melted. It tasted all right. Overall, was a good experience to try, but I think the other options at the market are better fit for us.

Ba Ba Ba! Ba Ba Barang! It ain't nothing but a chicken thang! After my first bite I was like Oh Dang! Best believe I don't jive and you know this Maaan! After years of not having chicken sandwiches this one has definitely caught my attention. I went with a Mini Baba just to try it out and I was surprised. The tender was nice and juicy and the bun soft topped with that secret sauce, oh yeah. This was really good and now I know to get the regular for next time. We also tried the loaded fries which were legit. It had chopped chicken, coleslaw, the signature sauce on top on crinkle cut fries. Oh Yeah I'm definitely getting these again. The service was good and the seating is shared with the food hall. And that's my take on this shop, Peace out

Came here for a lunch date with the wife. Its inside of the public market. Which is similar to the Packing house in Redlands or Haven City Market in Rancho. Parking is a nightmare. Fortunately we were able to snag one of the street parking spots. Their menu isnt very expansive. They have basically 1 sandwhich. The mini version doesn't count as another burger. They chicken tenders here. And a whole bunch of sides including Mac and cheese, loaded fries, fries, grilled cheese, pickle spears and extra nachos cheese. They have 4 different heat levels. We ordered the majority of things as mild and 1 as hot. Unfortunately we couldn't tell the difference between three two different heat levels. It was all the same. We got their Baba sandwhich, mac and cheese, 5 piece nuggets and loaded fries. They shoot you a text message once your food is ready for pick up. The sandwhich was nice and crunchy. Chicken was not dry at all. OK flavors. The fries were definitely loaded. Very heavy. And the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. The nuggets were nice and crunchy but also very tender white meat. They were my favorite of all the things we ordered. Pricing here is expensive. Premium pricing for just below premium food. Afterwards though I was really bloated. Was like that for about 3 days which was not fun. Was it from Baba's? Not 100% sure. But it was right after eating here. So maybe. Overall, there's so many other places to eat, not only here in the Public Market but in Redlands in general that I dont think I'll be back here again....

My sister ordered a small loaded fries with Cole slaw on the side and it was sooo good. Definitely fresh and hot and a great combo of flavors.

Need a quick hearty bite? This is the place! Came here for a Yelp event and it was amazing. The service was quick and friendly and the girl really helped me out as I had no idea what to order. The food was delicious, gonna be honest, I don't believe in chicken being a going out food choice, but I'm pleasantly surprised.. there was a couple spice leveled to choose from, I got the mild and it was great! The sandwich was a mini and it was a great personal size, not sure I could eat a regular as they are GENEROUS with their portion. The Mac n cheese was also soo good, it's definitely on the garlic side, so if you don't like garlic, maybe pass on these but it's still soo good! The fries were my favorite as it was the same chicken sandwich tender but on a fry! The sauce, the cheese the cabbage.. ugh I want more writing this.. this restaurant is located inside the Redlands Public market, so it is food court style inside, plenty of open seating. Since it's the market I'm not to sure in parking, I lucked out and got parking right in front but idk where else you could park as the theater is directly in front and states no market parking.. anyways it was good! I would definitely be coming back.

It's at Mountain Grove, which already has a fun atmosphere, but inside the restaurant it feels even more energetic. Pro tip: check their Facebook page before you go. They had a post where if you comment on it, you can get free food. They give you four different options and you can redeem each one on separate visits. That's such a great deal. My husband redeemed the large chicken sandwich (you can choose regular or large), and I went with the loaded fries, specifically the buffalo fries. Everything was really good. I personally liked the buffalo fries more than the sandwich, but my husband preferred the chicken sandwich, so it really comes down to taste. The portions are big too. The loaded fries could easily be shared between two or even three people, and the large sandwich is big enough to split between two people. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. Service was quick, friendly, and fun. They even told us we could come back three more times to redeem the other free items, which they didn't have to do, and that definitely went a long way. Five stars all around. Definitely worth stopping by if you're at Mountain Grove.

The staff was friendly and very quick. Items are ready to go so wait time is less than 5min for a whole family dinner. The food, was good. If you're familiar with Juan pollo, it's very similar. We ordered the mini pack. The chicken was good, seasoned well and juicy. The rice was good probably my favorite, beans were cooked well, couldn't tell if it's fresh or canned but I'm betting they're maybe fresh Idk I'm not a bean connoisseur but my family enjoyed them. The potato salad was good personally could've used more flavor myself but no complaints from my family. Salsa was fresh and my family did comment that it was good, which I agree. I just wish it was more, it's a SMALL container like 2 tablespoons worth per container we got 2, it's pico de gallo salsa. The tortillas, you're given the choice of flour or corn, I choose flour, they are given in a sandwich bag so it's small, and I was only given 3 flour tortillas. Idk what the serving portion is for tortillas to person ratio but 3 total tortillas didn't even allow everyone to have 1, now this is labeled as 2-3 servings we fed 4 adults and even if it was 3 servings I would've loved for it to be at least 2 tortillas per person/servings considering the meal was $30 for 1 chicken and a cup of sides. But you pay for convenience. But overall it was a good family dinner would consider it again to feed my family. thank you.

The restaurant was very busy, as would be usual for a Friday evening. We placed our order at the counter with the sweetest young woman behind the counter. SHe was patient and explained all the different options to us. It appeared there was only one other person working in the back. Needless to say, orders were deep. There was a man (we assumed he was a food delivery driver), who was visibly upset at the staff because part of his order wasn't ready. He was getting loud with the sweet young woman behind the counter. The young man who was working in the kitchen came out to have an explaination of the situaiton to the angry man. It took a while for us to get our order. I'd say at least 30 minutes. Once we were called up, we just picked up and left. We didn't check our order before we took off. We got back home in Riverside, unloaded everything, and realized one meal was missing from the order. I decided to call the store to let them know. I spoke to Joey, who identified himself at the night manager. I told him how the young woman behind the counter never lost her cool and how busy the restaurant was. Joey apologized for the failure and offered to make it right. We worked together to come to an agreement where we would come back another day and they would replace the missing meal. We came back on the day we said we would. The young man behind the counter didn't seem to know what I was talking about even though Joey said he'd leave a detailed note. No matter, I had my receipt with me and presented it along with a short story of the situation. The young man placed an order in the kitchen for us. We had our replacement meal in about 10 minutes. Honestly people... be nice. It's not hard. Things happen. Just use the nice words you have in your vocabulary and let the restaurant attempt to make it right. We'll be back. Dave's is good stuff.

I've said this before and it is worth stating again: I always have a problem whenever I pay for food that I could have made better myself. If it is a matter of convenience, I could even understand that you may pay a little more (e.g. Starbucks McDonald's, etc.). At Shake Shack, we paid $60 for a family of three. We ordered a Shack Burger, Chicken Burger and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sides were a Onion Rings, Fries and a shake. For the same food at Red Robin, this comes out to approximately $45, for better food and larger quantities. My burger literally fit into the palm of my hand. The chicken sandwich was dry. The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.
