I actually preferred the regular shack with crispy onions since the caramelized onions made it feel a little heavier. The west coast fries were good but it was a little heavy. The tropical mango shake was definitely my favorite. It was refreshing with the perfect amount of tartness. The tropical mango lemonade was also really refreshing. Shake Shack is one of the most consistent burger chains for me. The food is always solid and the service is quick no matter which location I visit.

I've said this before and it is worth stating again: I always have a problem whenever I pay for food that I could have made better myself. If it is a matter of convenience, I could even understand that you may pay a little more (e.g. Starbucks McDonald's, etc.). At Shake Shack, we paid $60 for a family of three. We ordered a Shack Burger, Chicken Burger and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sides were a Onion Rings, Fries and a shake. For the same food at Red Robin, this comes out to approximately $45, for better food and larger quantities. My burger literally fit into the palm of my hand. The chicken sandwich was dry. The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.

What the heck?? I'm sure they wouldn't make their own burrito like that, or their family member's burrito like that! I even started ordered EXTRA sour cream as well, but still there was LITTLE to NO sour cream! The old Cucas NEVER made the burritos like that. Seems to be some "shrink-flation" going on ... ? And let's not forgot that we are charged extra $$$ for the "so called extra" green sauce and sour cream! Unfortunately I will no longer order burritos from Cucas. New people moving to Redlands do not have a comparison, so they just accept this. In closing, I would like to say that the ground beef tacos are bomb! The lack of communication about the additional cost overshadowed the meal.

6/30/25 We finally decided to go to the Redlands Public Market to have a look and to see the different restaurants that were available. I have seen the advertisement for Baba's Hot Chicken and pictures of the food from the Market web site and decided that I would like to try their food, since I have never been to any of their restaurants. I was not disappointed I ordered the Baba's sandwich combo medium hot and it looked like the pics and was very tasty, the fries were hot and crispy and the sandwich was perfect for me enjoyed every bite The cashier was very friendly and approachable and I had asked her some questions, size of sandwich , sides ETC. and she was very delightful to talk with. I get my food and I am sitting down eating, and this gentlemen comes to me and ask if I was Ralph, I said I am, he indicated he was the person who made my order and that inadvertently there was a mix up on the order and what I was eating was the mini and not the full sandwich , so I said your kidding, this is way plenty for me no problem and he gave me a full sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie for the inconvenience and I told him not necessary to keep them and I was satisfied with everything but he would not take no for an answer.
