Located in the cool little public market of downtown Redlands is a little restaurant in a building of restaurants. It's located just a couple feet past the entrance. Lots of seating and we got lucky w a live band in the patio. FYI parking is a little hectic there. Everyone was very nice, from the cashier to the manger as we ordered. Here are the items we tried out: Mac n Cheese: nice texture, good portion, great truffle flavor Not over powering. 8/10. Loaded fries: these were really good! Big, thick cut fries, nacho cheese, slaw, house sauce, chicken and pickles. Next time I would probably do without the cheese. Baba's hot chicken sandwich: tender, juicy, mild heat, they put a little too much slaw which took away from flavor, but still smashed it. All in all, it was good, not outstanding. I will definitely be back to give another try

Food was great and service was fast. Restaurant is located inside the Redlands Public Market. Many seats available and the ambiance is very social as the Market can get packed. Food arrived after 10 mins from ordering. The Mild spicy level is pretty spicy. Would recommend this place! Mini Chicken Sandwich: 4.5/5 Mini Loaded Fry: 4.5/5 Cup of Mac & Cheese: 4/5

Friendly and helpful service. Made it easy to figure out what to get, answer questions, and order. I got the extreme spicy chicken tenders. My mouth was on fire . Even my teeth felt it. The chicken was tender. I would have liked the breading to be crunchy though. Soggy breading on the tenders seemed weird to me. The house sauce is similar to other chicken sauces. This is inside the Redlands Market. It's loud, but not bad. Lots of food choices. B

We came to the Redlands Public Market for a date night. Street parking in front of the market is free for 90 minutes, but it does get full quickly, especially during dinner time. We recommend parking at the parking structure a block away, which is also free! Overall, there were a lot of options, so it's perfect for a group outing when everyone's craving different things. We got the mild chicken sandwich with a side of grilled cheese. I thought it was pretty cool that they had a variety of side options. Overall, we felt the food was a little underwhelming. The chicken sandwich looks crispy, but the flavors weren't all there. Perhaps we should've gotten a spicier version. The grilled cheese is a little misleading since the cheese wasn't very melted. It tasted all right. Overall, was a good experience to try, but I think the other options at the market are better fit for us.

Ba Ba Ba! Ba Ba Barang! It ain't nothing but a chicken thang! After my first bite I was like Oh Dang! Best believe I don't jive and you know this Maaan! After years of not having chicken sandwiches this one has definitely caught my attention. I went with a Mini Baba just to try it out and I was surprised. The tender was nice and juicy and the bun soft topped with that secret sauce, oh yeah. This was really good and now I know to get the regular for next time. We also tried the loaded fries which were legit. It had chopped chicken, coleslaw, the signature sauce on top on crinkle cut fries. Oh Yeah I'm definitely getting these again. The service was good and the seating is shared with the food hall. And that's my take on this shop, Peace out

Came here for a lunch date with the wife. Its inside of the public market. Which is similar to the Packing house in Redlands or Haven City Market in Rancho. Parking is a nightmare. Fortunately we were able to snag one of the street parking spots. Their menu isnt very expansive. They have basically 1 sandwhich. The mini version doesn't count as another burger. They chicken tenders here. And a whole bunch of sides including Mac and cheese, loaded fries, fries, grilled cheese, pickle spears and extra nachos cheese. They have 4 different heat levels. We ordered the majority of things as mild and 1 as hot. Unfortunately we couldn't tell the difference between three two different heat levels. It was all the same. We got their Baba sandwhich, mac and cheese, 5 piece nuggets and loaded fries. They shoot you a text message once your food is ready for pick up. The sandwhich was nice and crunchy. Chicken was not dry at all. OK flavors. The fries were definitely loaded. Very heavy. And the Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. The nuggets were nice and crunchy but also very tender white meat. They were my favorite of all the things we ordered. Pricing here is expensive. Premium pricing for just below premium food. Afterwards though I was really bloated. Was like that for about 3 days which was not fun. Was it from Baba's? Not 100% sure. But it was right after eating here. So maybe. Overall, there's so many other places to eat, not only here in the Public Market but in Redlands in general that I dont think I'll be back here again....

Need a quick hearty bite? This is the place! Came here for a Yelp event and it was amazing. The service was quick and friendly and the girl really helped me out as I had no idea what to order. The food was delicious, gonna be honest, I don't believe in chicken being a going out food choice, but I'm pleasantly surprised.. there was a couple spice leveled to choose from, I got the mild and it was great! The sandwich was a mini and it was a great personal size, not sure I could eat a regular as they are GENEROUS with their portion. The Mac n cheese was also soo good, it's definitely on the garlic side, so if you don't like garlic, maybe pass on these but it's still soo good! The fries were my favorite as it was the same chicken sandwich tender but on a fry! The sauce, the cheese the cabbage.. ugh I want more writing this.. this restaurant is located inside the Redlands Public market, so it is food court style inside, plenty of open seating. Since it's the market I'm not to sure in parking, I lucked out and got parking right in front but idk where else you could park as the theater is directly in front and states no market parking.. anyways it was good! I would definitely be coming back.

We ordered a shack burger with caramelized onions, a double shack burger, and the new west coast fries. I actually preferred the regular shack with crispy onions since the caramelized onions made it feel a little heavier. The west coast fries were good but it was a little heavy. The tropical mango shake was definitely my favorite. It was refreshing with the perfect amount of tartness. The tropical mango lemonade was also really refreshing. Shake Shack is one of the most consistent burger chains for me. The food is always solid and the service is quick no matter which location I visit.

I've said this before and it is worth stating again: I always have a problem whenever I pay for food that I could have made better myself. If it is a matter of convenience, I could even understand that you may pay a little more (e.g. Starbucks McDonald's, etc.). At Shake Shack, we paid $60 for a family of three. We ordered a Shack Burger, Chicken Burger and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sides were a Onion Rings, Fries and a shake. For the same food at Red Robin, this comes out to approximately $45, for better food and larger quantities. My burger literally fit into the palm of my hand. The chicken sandwich was dry. The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.

I love their bean and cheese burrito, my son is all about the carne asada burritos, and my daughter surprisingly goes for the burgers and fries. As one can imagine, we have seen many changes over the years here in Redlands, some good, and some not so good. But ... we could always count on Cucas to be GOOD and consistent with their food. However, we both have noticed that lately the burritos aren't the same, specifically the red and green burritos. I've always bragged that Cucas has the best bean/cheese burritos hands-down! But we've noticed that the beans are more dry and pasty now. Cucas' beans were always a little on the runny side all through the years and they were delicious! When I would cut my burrito in half, the beans would come pouring out a little bit ... yum! Not only are the beans now more dry and pasty, but when I order a green burrito, there is literally NO green sauce! I started ordering EXTRA green sauce, and there was still LITTLE to NO green sauce! And I always order sour cream as well, but lately there is a small little squirt at the very top of the burrito, and a small little squirt at the bottom of the burrito, with none in between! What the heck?? I'm sure they wouldn't make their own burrito like that, or their family member's burrito like that! I even started ordered EXTRA sour cream as well, but still there was LITTLE to NO sour cream! The old Cucas NEVER made the burritos like that. Seems to be some "shrink-flation" going on ... ? And let's not forgot that we are charged extra $$$ for the "so called extra" green sauce and sour cream! Unfortunately I will no longer order burritos from Cucas. New people moving to Redlands do not have a comparison, so they just accept this. In closing, I would like to say that the ground beef tacos are bomb! Lot's of meat, not skimpy, and also not skimpy on the sour cream for the tacos, only the burritos. So sad, I miss "old" Cucas from days gone by ... sniff sniff :-(

Charging over $2 for a small sauce is already expensive, but not informing customers before adding them to the order is frustrating. A simple, "Just so you know, each sauce is $2.08," would have avoided the issue. Transparency about extra charges goes a long way. Because of that experience, I left feeling disappointed. The lack of communication about the additional cost overshadowed the meal.
