I came here for a baby shower for a friend's daughter. Super cute place but what would you expect from Golden? They have at the front a tea and wine room, which yas! I am not a tea person but I am a wine lover. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful so the service is friendly. She answered all of our questions. We had a tray of delicious bites. Loved the scones. I will say the peach tea was lovely and again I am not a tea lover but I really liked that. Overall, great experience with great food and good tea. I would come here for another tea gathering.

Have been here before as a guest but specifically want to highlight Babe's as an event venue! I had my dream baby sprinkle at this location and the staff, the venue, and the gorgeous location in Golden made it perfect. We had a planned menu and the whole experience went smoothly and was beautiful. The menu met everyone's dietary needs and all the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The room was beautiful and had great lighting for photos! Thanks to the whole Babe's team for making this day so special.

Babe's has a super cute space with plenty of opportunities for photo-ops. My bff and I came here for high tea as she wanted to treat me to a little celebration for my pregnancy! The high tea included two different tea brews and an assortment of sandwiches and desserts. I really enjoyed the curry and cucumber sandwiches! All of the sandwiches were quite tasty. My favorite from the desserts was the blueberry macaron and key lime tart! Both the teas we tried were also yummy. One was a vanilla earl grey and the other was also a stronger brew (closest to coffee) that I really loved. Our server was really sweet and took great care of us. I would definitely go back for a high tea with some girlfriends!

This place was fun! Would definitely come back. Afternoon tea feels like a unique treat and I love this location in Golden. We were able to get out and explore outside of Denver, and came here as we passed by. We came here on a Monday afternoon with no reservation and were able to get seated at a nice table for two. We got a pot of Taiwanese oolong tea, the brown sugar latte I believe, and a couple of snacks a la carte. We didn't spend too much money on this experience and my friend and I had a fantastic time. Vibes are cute, bright, and floral. The London fog macaron was my favorite. It tasted just like the drink - yum. I liked seeing the wide tea selection as well, especially the oolong section! The scone my friend got was really tasty. I had one bite and wanted more! On second thought, I feel like the scone paired better with the tea than my macarons did, even as a macaron fan. The service felt just a tiny bit inorganic/inauthentic, maybe they were really busy but wanted to ensure a good experience. It feels notable, but didn't really take away from my experience.

The ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. If you don't want to spend the money on the full tea and tower it's not a problem. You can order meals and tea alacart. The servers are very nice, and willing to help on anything you need.

Stumbled on this cute tea place while strolling in the picturesque downtown of Golden, Colorado. My friends and I went in to quickly grab a drink, but instead felt inclined to spend more time to enjoy what this place had to offer. The server, who I believe was the owner, was very pleasant to talk to and was very welcoming. She helped us order different tea and tea sandwiches with a side of salad and some macaroons of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the "high tea" experience. The hibiscus tea was really good.. and the chicken sandwiches were good as well. The macaroons were too sweet for my liking. Overall, a nice place to hang out with your girlfriends!

Party of 4: 2 Adults 2 Kiddos. Wonderful ambiance. Restaurant is pretty and has several IG ready spots for photos! My DIL booked the afternoon for us to enjoy with the granddaughters. The tea menu selection is plentiful. The tables are on the smaller side so the server suggested selecting only 2 teas to start with so there would be room for everything. No problem. There is also an inviting cocktail menu so my DIL and I both ordered something yummy to complement our tea. The table is set beautifully with everything needed to enjoy a cup of tea and delicious goodies as well. When it was time for our three-tier display of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats, our server explained what each item was that we would be enjoying. Compared to the other four Tea Rooms I have enjoyed in New York and Los Angeles, the food here at Babe's certainly ranked well. Note that there are two different prices, one for adults and one for children. This is not an inexpensive outing by any means. Remember, there is tip to be added on as well. We've been to the Brown Palace in downtown Denver and of course, being in the Atrium with the live music is very different than this experience. Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable outing and we will most likely return at some point.

We love Babe's Denver location and were looking forward to seeing their new spot. It didn't disappoint! Great location - right on Golden's main drag. We arrived on a late Saturday morning with no reservation, which happened to be before their holiday parade. Given it was chilly out - and we were willing to sit on their patio - we got a table immediately (great view of the parade) and kept pretty warm with their large heaters. It looked like some bar seats were available as well, no don't lose total hope to get a spot here sans res. We usually do their afternoon tea service but decided to mix it up this time, opting for sandwiches (chicken curry - my favorite! Great portions and delish as usual), scones (seasonal and traditional with the accoutrements, also wins) and 2 pots of tea. Everything was the quality you'd expect from Babe's. The reasons I can't give 5 stars for this visit are twofold: 1) the service wasn't up to snuff; it took a very long time for our tea to arrive and our server wasn't as attentive as we've come to expect from the Denver location and 2) they didn't have any mocktail/non-booze options available besides coffee drinks. I'm currently pregnant and have come to highly value spots catering to their sober customers. Maybe someday! The Denver location remains to be my favorite, but I would still absolutely come back to their Golden spot again.

Cool venue/location right on the creek in Golden. Only outdoor reservations available, luckily we brought a blanket as 78 year old mother can get chills. (No heater or blanket offered). It was a nice morning, with a slight chill. $60 per person for unlimited tea and a tower with two tasting options per person. The jasmine tea was the best, hibiscus not good at all. The cherry almond tea was flavorful and slightly sweet, and the golden rose was bland, hardly any floral notes. The sandwiches were delicious and the sweets meh. Things seemed a bit chaotic, and when we got there it wasn't busy with customers, service seemed slow, yet friendly. Overall, it was a nice experience, but have had better experiences at a hotel downtown.

Cute tea room with yummy food options and an array of teas! Visited with some friends and we stumbled in without a reservation for 4 (luckily good weather so there was seating on the patio), otherwise recommend making a reservation. We wanted to try the full tea experience but had eaten breakfast not too long ago so opted for their a la cart menu. Great options and the service was nice! Our server was educational and so helpful when one of our party members was expected later than us. Already have my reservation for my birthday in a couple weeks and excited to try the full experience!

We stayed in the Navajo Junior Suite which was quite large and included an outdoor balcony and a gas fireplace. From the balcony we had a nice view of Table Mountain and the Coors brewing factory which was amusing as Coors Light is my husband's favorite beer. While it was very warm, we didn't use the fireplace but it is a nice feature, especially if you stayed in winter months. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. There were 2 TV's. Jeff Fisette and Janelle were fantastic to work with. Jeff is the food and beverage manager and so kind and charismatic and Janelle was our day of coordinator and beyond sweet. Bailey was even accommodating and friendly to work with when she needed to step in. I couldn't do a five-star review because of the event director, Macey. We began working with Savanna, which is a big reason why we booked the venue after meeting with her. I don't know where to begin with Macey. I understand she was newish at the time and maybe even was going through some personal issues. She was not only unresponsive and annoyed that I contacted her more than a couple of times but on top of that very rude to both myself and my family. Countless items that we agreed upon in the beginning of planning did not come through, and we were charged for two items we didn't receive on wedding day. When setting up the room, three hours before the ceremony (we hired a day of coordinator to do this) she told my aunt, "Good luck" and walked away. The cherry on top was when she called me at 0900 the day after our wedding to tell us to come and get the décor items left from the night before. We had previously agreed that we could leave the items there until 1pm. Upon arriving I had asked Macey why this needed to be done right now, her response: "well, I need to use my office don't I". Macey does not care about you or your event, she just wants your payment and quantity trumps quality. I know there are labor shortages but Applewood really does need to hire an event coordinator with at least some experience that kind of likes people or at least pretends to care

I loved how unique the venue was, easy to access from the highway for out of town folk, and tucked away it felt once you were inside. We got some gorgeous mountain photos! Shea was so lovely and answered any questions we had. Our guests absolutely raved and I am still getting compliments on how unique it was. I think the important thing to know with the Mansion - it is not a typical style venue and is not a good fit for certain groups. For context, we had a 120 person afternoon wedding in July (2-7pm). I did a tremendous amount of research and painstakingly picked each vendor, who all ended up working together and are incredible. If you are a bride looking for a more inclusive-everything-included style venue, this is not it. IF you are willing to do work on researching vendors, you can make the Mansion work for you at your price point and are rewarded in something more custom. It can really rack up cost wise if you use all the recommended vendors and do all the add-ons. We rented the entire space (highly recommend) so our wedding moved throughout the venue and guests got different experiences. I loved the outside ceremony and they have nice white chairs that look great in photos. Cocktail hour was outside in the gardens - so pretty still in July! The reception was inside. I loved the stone walls, very little decor is needed which is awesome. If you have over 80ish people and want a dance floor, we did have to flip some tables to make room, but our catering team did it so fast and we did the first dance outside - then conga lined the party back inside. Honestly I think more people started dancing since they already were up and moving, so it worked better than I hoped. I would pick this 10 out of 10, but like I said, I think it's good to know this is not the spot for a bride without a planner or who is willing to do her homework. Because it is a historical site, if you have a lot of custom built out decor or a large wedding or want to get ready at the venue, this is not for you. If you have under 120, want something special, and are organized (or have a good friend who is) you have found the perfect spot. Photography credit: Melina Massengill (melinamassephoto)

Where do I start? We chose Boettcher Mansion as the venue for my son's wedding on May 4th, 2024…read more What an incredible result. We had family and friends converge from all over the world to experience the best of Colorado. The weather behaved itself as well as can be expected in early May and the venue and its recommended vendors were the best that they could be! Boettcher Mansion is in a beautiful setting, allowing for an outdoor wedding with the woods as a backdrop, and cocktail hour and pictures with the sunset emerging behind the mountains. While we had just a sprinkle or two, the clouds made for a perfect vista, and if a downpour had occurred, the wedding could be quickly moved inside. We visited many potential wedding venues across the front range, including some beautiful options in Estes Park. We visited Boettcher Mansion first, and it inevitably remained our top choice as it offered several perquisites while also checking off the Bride and Groom's event venue expectations for the wedding. Ultimately, Boettcher Mansion's facility with its iconic outdoor colorado beauty, ample preparation accommodations for both the bride and groom and attendants, beautiful outdoor patio and reception space, and the ability to fully customize the event won us over. This venue provided a remote location with proximity to the Denver for out-of-town/country visitors to stay, and ease of access for all involved. As an added bonus, their fee supports Jefferson County Parks. The ability to customize every aspect of the day at first seemed daunting, but ended up being important to the special day. Boettcher Mansion hosts an annual wedding show where you can talk to all their recommended vendors. If you veer from these vendors and go your own way, you can do so for an extra fee. But by sticking with the recommended options for the major items, you will find they are very familiar with Boettcher policies, allowing you to have an efficient event on the day and secure the return of 100% of your $500 damage deposit! We chose Roots for our catering, which deserves its own special review, but for now I will say that the food and service were spectacular. The food was prepared, plated, and presented beautifully, with delicious options for everyone. The caterer also handled the sparkling toast and cocktail and wine service with their trained and certified servers, but the offerings were provided by us. We could have hired Applejack (or whomever) to deliver what we wanted, which is a huge cost savings over other venues who require the customer to use in-house service, and permits customization to personal tastes. In this case, Applejack will accept returns for any unopened bottle at the end of the night. In our case, however, the Bride and Groom selected the unique dinner wines and champagne toast from their parents' cellared wine libraries, adding a nice touch to the experience of their special day and helping to control costs even further. The Grand Piano in Boettcher Mansion's reception hall offered a special moment, when, at the Bride's request, the brother-of-the-groom played Debussy's Claire de Lune as the processional. Boettcher Mansion offers a D.J. You can provide your own music, but we found the D.J to be helpful in announcing what was to happen next, etc. He also offered a Photo Booth, which provided the Bride and Groom with a thumb drive of all their guest's funny pictures throughout the evening. Other exceptional vendors for whom I should write a separate review include Jessica Shipman, the "Day of" planner. Can't have a wedding without her! She, incredibly, planned and coordinated everything throughout the entire day, allowing all the guests and family to enjoy the event and focus on the Bride and Groom without having to be worried about actually doing any decorating or coordinating leading up to, and on the day. TeeLee Florist put together a one-of-a-kind Tower of Flowers for the alter, while we secured a beautiful and cost-effective flower package from Costco for the bulk of the floral decorations and the bouquet/corsages. We hired a shuttle service to offer for people to go up and down Lookout Mountain, for those who found the drive daunting, or out-of-towners without a car. Berg Berg Photography captured special moments throughout the event, including the sunset, and even provided special lighting for effect. Special candles handcrafted by the mother-and father-of the bride, and table number placards artfully drawn by the sister-in-law of the bride represent additional custom touches permitted by Boettcher Mansion that made the day incredibly special. In the end, our happy couple was forever touched by the gifts family and friends provided in memories we carry away from the wedding, indelibly amplified by the ambiance, staff, vendors, and personalization afforded by this incredible gem in Golden, Colorado.

Goosetown Station is a unique experience. It combines the cool vibe of the grassy setting of Fiddler's Green with the experience of listening to music with friends in an intimate garden setting. The photos I've seen posted so far are misleading. They are outdated pictures of a place that no longer exists. And current pictures don't communicate the vibe. Goosetown Station has evolved to a one-of-a-kind music venue. It has a lot of moving parts that work well together to bring you a music experience that will stay with you long after you leave. But because it's always changing, evolving, improving, what I tell you about the place may change when you visit. But however the place is when you visit, you can be guaranteed your experience will be enjoyable and memorable. PARKING ======== There is parking on the street in front of Goosetown Station. The street is a dead end. If you can't find parking on that street, there is a free, open, public parking lot a 1/2 a block away. There is also public parking one block over in the other direction, across from Ford street. You can park there and walk across the footbridge to get to Goosetown Station. ADMISSION ========== When I walked up the incline to the entrance to the house I was greeted by a young woman who told me they take cash or Venmo. (I read a previous review that said they don't do cash. That's changed.) HANDICAP ACCESS ================ If you are wheelchair bound, the place is set up with no stairs leading to the house. There is seating inside the house and also a full bar and bathrooms. From the inside of the house you cannot see the stage and I'm not sure if they pipe the music from the stage into the house, but they should for those who want to sit inside. There is also comfortable seating on the side of the house in an area you walk through to get to the back where the stage is. I don't remember if there are stairs between the front entrance and this side seating area. If not, it's a comfortable, covered area where you can sit, hear the music and see the stage. SEATING AREAS ============= From the pictures I saw before I went, I imagined this place to be a house with a stage in its small backyard with a patio area to sit and watch the band. I was pleasantly shocked when I walked around the side of the house and entered the backyard. It's a huge area. There is a main grassy seating area with comfortable couches, groups of seats and lots of firepits. There is a huge tented area in one corner of the backyard. There are clusters of seats along the side and a table in a covered area with vines growing up the wall. There is a covered seating area with a firepit next to the outside bar and a large, isolated, sandy play area for children and their parents in another corner of the yard. BARS ===== There is a fully stocked bar to the right when you enter the building. There is a bar in the back and sometimes, depending on the crowds, they set up a bar in the front with beer and wine. I was able to use Apple Pay at the bar. FAMILIES WELCOME ================ This place is kid friendly. There were several young children and their parents attending the concert the night I went. As I mentioned there is a whole sandy play area with toys in a corner of the backyard. FOOD ===== They try to have food trucks to provide something to eat while you listen to music. The night I was there they were having a dispute with the city of Golden who didn't want food trucks parked on their streets (even though the street in front of Goosetown Station is a dead end.) So they offered Anthony's pizzas and had chips and hummus. The food they offer isn't meant to be your main meal as much as just something to help you not have an empty stomach if you're drinking alcohol. MUSIC ====== The quality of the band was outstanding. They played at a volume that was just enough to fill the backyard. They weren't trying to rock the neighborhood but the sound was sufficient to be heard over the quiet conversations of the guests. "THE FEEL" ========= At the risk of sounding sexist, this place feels like it was designed by women. In fact I only saw one man working the venue. He was the bartender inside. Other than that it was women attending to the visitors. I say it seems like women designed this place because it looked like it was deliberately planned to be comfortable, charming, welcoming and beautiful. The details of this place speak of someone who wants to create an atmosphere that goes beyond utility. Even the bathrooms are nicely decorated with candles burning. If you go to Goosetown Station, enjoy yourself and please don't change anything. It's perfect just the way it is. (Check out my pictures to see how this place looks now.)

The people here are helpful and friendly, and everyone that uses the space also seems very friendly. I enjoyed my day working here! My only drawback is they are a little bit pricey. Someone who is utilizing the space out of pocket, or a small company with not many resources, may find the prices a bit out of budget. It was $30 for the day to rent a space, which is not bad at all; considering rent prices in the Greater Denver Area for business and residential alike have skyrocketed. But for someone on a budget; it might not work out if you just needed to use the space intermittently. They do have different options, though, and its also a great opportunity to network. I was here on a Friday and it was pretty quiet and not many spaces taken up; it might be different on a busier weekday. I would definitely return if I need an office space for the day in Golden!
