    Buffalo Bill!

This place gets five stars because it's the first place I've ever had a root beer float and I loved it. The staff was really nice. The shops had a lot of quirky items and it was fun just to look around. The overlook was also phenomenal. If you've never been I'd recommend stopping by!

Nice gift shop with Western-themed gifts and a small cafe. Here you can even eat a "buffalo" burger, which was pretty tasty!

Wild West fans--this is your place! The Buffalo Bill Museum with their Buffalo Bill graveyard, Gift Shop & Cafe was ranked by the local Denver Post as "one of the top ten tourist attractions in the Denver metro area." And the Cafe was proclaimed by Westword (Denver's News and Arts Weekly) to have "the best view from a coffee shop in 1989." It still has an awesome, scenic vantage point because it is perched on Lookout Mountain and you can see everything from there. The Pahaska Cafe is very quaint, charming and low-key. It is like stepping back in time to enter it's door and sit a spell. I LOVED the cafe, and snack bar. For one thing, this place has ice cream, Duffy's Rowdy Root beer, and the greatest fudge in the entire world. It is the soft chewy kind in many different kinds of flavors. I had a praline fudge and a chocolate/vanilla flavor. Both were mouth-watering good. Before that, I was determined to try the bison that is on the menu. I wanted to eat some last summer while up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming but chickened out when a big male buffalo walked by me at Yellowstone and looked me straight in the eyes. After that, I was afraid to consider eating them. However, it was time and rather than take on the cafe bison burger that my friend ordered, I took a baby bison step & got the bison hot dog, which really is more like a smoked sausage. The delicious meat was on a bun and smothered with grilled tomatoes and onions. Tasty for sure. The sandwiches here come with potato chips. The Pahaska Cafe seems to be a hangout for the retired folk up on the mountain. Several older gentlemen were gathered around inside, talking and sipping some good strong coffee. The Cafe, just like the Gift Shop is open every day of the year from 9 a.m until dusk. While visiting Denver, it is well worth the drive to Golden and Lookout Mountain to revel in the authentic Old West atmosphere, friendly cafe with scrumptious fudge and food. Take 1-70 up the mountain to step back in time. 5 YELP STARS.

This cafe is getting 5 stars just for the delicious fudge and the customer service. The people who work here are hella funny and nice. They let me try just any fudge I wanted and they recommended their favorites. The root beer was just like regular root beer... so what?!?! It still tasted good.

Friendly staff and one of the best Colorado gift shops I've been in. The fudge is outstanding!

Mediocre root beer and the most overcooked burger I've had in ages. I don't recommend it.

Brooklynne my server especially stood out to me, and her professionalism was on another level. I felt like I was treated with very polished, white-glove-level service while she was still warm, respectful, and genuinely fun to talk to. I couldn't help but notice how well she treated customers around me too and was just blown away! If you're looking for a high level of quality service and knowledge on tea and many other boujee things, she's your girl and this is your spot! I've been to many tea rooms and other high-end spots in Colorado before, and I can honestly say I've never had an experience quite like this. It's a bonus that it's in downtown Golden too! Will be surprising my gf for our anniversary here next month .

I had never planned a baby shower before, and Shelley was responsive and encouraging, asking all the right questions and offering helpful suggestions along the way. Our guests raved about the assortment of teas (cherry almond was a big hit), finger sandwiches, and pastries. Everyone gushed that it was the best baby shower they'd ever attended. Final note: be prepared for sticker shock--the tab came to about $150 per guest, which included cocktails. But worth the splurge for a memorable celebration.

The coffee was hot and our server brought us regular cream as neither of us drinks the flavored creams. The sweetener selection was nice. I had the Elevated Egg Sandwich. It had bacon, an over-easy egg, Gruyère, avocado, mayo and arugula with lemon dressing on a brioche bun. It came with a side of seasoned breakfast potatoes. I would totally get this one again. Delicious. We took our time and had conversation while sipping our coffee. Our server checked on us regularly. I did need to remember to go up front to pay. I always forget that I need to do that here. A note for anyone needing ADA accommodation. This is not a First Watch thing, but the parking lot. So no shade to them. The ADA spot just west of the entrance, in front of Snarfs, has a concrete wheelstop between it and the sidewalk which impedes if you have a chair.

The host was very welcoming, as well as our server. Our server was quite attentive too. The farm decor was cute & I especially appreciated how clean the restaurant was, including the bathrooms. There was plenty of parking. I ordered the Tri-Fecta breakfast. This included two eggs, which I substituted for tossed greens with a lemon vinaigrette dressing, a Belgium waffle & bacon. This was delicious...a crispy waffle but soft & fluffy inside, nice flavor, served with jam & maple syrup, yummy crisp bacon & a light salad. I also liked that the breakfast was served on one large platter & we had a carafe of water for our table. I'm looking forward to returning & trying some of their lunch items.
