My friend recently showed me this spot and we had a wonderful time! We went in through the back parking lot and I was amazed when I walked in! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance and decor is so nice and unique. I felt so classy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders were all incredibly nice. Chris was the one tending to us but all the others were happy to help and constantly asked if we needed anything. They had a small menu but they can also make whatever you ask for if you give them a specific drink or just tell them what you like. My friends and I left to go eat at a restaurant nearby and came back afterwards. When we walked in, Chris saw us and immediately named off the 3 drinks we ordered earlier to see if we wanted another round. The whiskey with banana bread was amazing!!! I asked for hurricane which wasn't on the menu but Chris made me a delicious one. I also asked for something special for my friend who was celebrating her engagement. He made us some really tasty shots (even told me the price ahead of time without me having to ask) and set her shot on fire which was such a nice touch. Although it is pricey when buying multiple drinks, it's worth it for the atmosphere and level of service you receive, especially for special occasions.

First time and was happy to be here. Service was very good and I will recommend for a romantic first date.

My daughter and son-in-law treated us to Bab's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is relaxing and the bar tenders are very helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were happy it was a treat because the drink prices were a bit expensive for two retirees. We arrived early and that was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outer restaurant was full of patrons and the secret lounge had a steady flow of patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a nice experience.

What a fun speakeasy - you can find their code on their Instagram page. They change it weekly! It is located inside the International Beer Garten in Odessa. You look for the bookshelf and type in the 4 digit code onto the keypad (make sure to hit the larger arrow button to submit and open door.) It's a small space but it looks beautiful - dark and moody, bar seating, a large table in the middle and some small chairs to sit. It gets busy during peak hours. Fun menu of martinis and old fashions. Next time we will try the tiramisu!

Came on a Friday evening (7pm) and it got crowded real quick. Not quite your typical "speakeasy" place -- they play super loud music and the ambiance doesn't feel too "secret". There's only about less than 10 stools at the bar, small couch section on one end and two chairs on other. If you're coming with a group, you'll have to find a place to stand at the middle long table. The cocktails are delicious and are about $15 a piece. Cool place to check out at least once and would probably be better to come on a random weekday when it's not busy to get a better "speakeasy" experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great speakeasy, great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A small place so finding room at the bar can be difficult.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely busy with locals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are pricy, all above $16. But they seem pretty unique and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable. Iv had them make things off the menu and they add their own twist. It's a nice place to go after dinner for one or two drinks. Otherwise it's not very realistic for a date spending over $100 just on drinks. That's what I would expect downtown Tampa on Water Street.

A hidden gem that serves great cocktails. The music was a nice vibe, and the service was wonderful. Looking forward to visiting again.

Cute speakeasy, follow them on Insta to get in. Note that you can only order mixed drinks here, no beer or wine. Excellent bartender makes amazing drinks! They play shows or movies on the big screen. Def come for the experience!

We didn't enter the lounge through the secret door, which ruined the fun and had me confused as to why it was called a speakeasy; but later we discovered the actual entrance when my friend joined us through the correct door. The place is extremely small, dark, and intimate. The cocktails were delicious and creative. I didn't have a drink that I would say "uhhh never having that again". Keep in mind, there is no food on the menu. There was one bartender and he was attentive to our needs. My only gripe was the lack of social distancing during this pandemonium, which caused me to take 1 whole star away. When we arrived it was just 5 of us total. Then in a matter of 1.5 hours, a large group of like 15 people entered this tiny establishment without masks and I could just see the COVID virus swirling through the air (figuratively speaking) which left me uncomfortable and contemplating why I bothered to venture out my house. However, I did enjoy the place and return in the future when things settle down.

Love this bar! Great atmosphere, great drinks. Makes you feel fancy. Something we don't have in this area otherwise!!

The overall vibe is what keeps us coming back. That said, we've had multiple unpleasant experiences with the same male bartender. The first time I visited, I had never been there before and asked which beer was the most popular or what people ordered the most. Instead of answering my question, he simply pointed at the menu on the wall and said, "That's our menu." I wasn't asking what beers you had, I was asking for a recommendation. It came across as dismissive. On another visit, I had a wonderful experience with a female bartender. She was friendly, accommodating, and made my drink exactly how I requested. Unfortunately, on a later visit I ended up with the same male bartender again. I ordered a cocktail and politely asked if he could make it a little sweeter. His response was, "We make it how we make it." I told him that was completely fine and just asked if he could make it slightly sweeter. He replied, "I'll try." The drink came out with no sweetness at all, and it honestly didn't seem like any effort was made to accommodate a simple request. I don't expect every request to be possible, but I do expect friendly customer service and a willingness to help when it's something so minor. Thankfully, the atmosphere, events, and the rest of the staff have been great enough that we continue coming back. I just hope the customer service is more consistent because Starkey Market is otherwise such a wonderful place.

My served, Ryan, was prompt and knowledgeable of the menu. I asked for recommendations which he readily gave. I decided to try The Sparrow for a cocktail, which I enjoyed. For my meal I went with the Pasta Brava, which had ham, chicken, peas and mushrooms with a white sauce. It was delicious, as was the bread that was served. Good sized portions. Definitely enough left for lunch the next day. The pizzas looked amazing at the table next to me. Definitely a nice place for a bite.

Hunter was our server and did a very good job taking care of our table throughout the evening. The restaurant was quite busy, so there was a little bit of a delay between receiving our appetizers and placing our entrée order, but after that everything flowed smoothly. We started with the Alto Adige Pizza -- prosciutto and cheese done in a very authentic Italian style. Absolutely delicious, although at $23 it felt a bit pricey for a pizza. We also ordered the Arancini, which were authentic, flavorful, and perfect for sharing with the table. Two of us ordered Caesar salads with extra anchovies. The anchovies were the pickled style and paired perfectly with the salad. For entrées, two of us ordered the Crostata, which I would describe as somewhat like an Italian shepherd's pie -- pasta, sausage, cheese, and sauce baked together into a pie-style dish. It already comes fairly spicy, and since I asked for extra spicy, it definitely had nearly too much heat! I probably should have tried it as originally prepared first, I think it would have been perfect. That said, it was rich, hearty, and excellent. Portion size was over the top. I took half of it home for lunch or dinner the next day. My wife ordered the Eggplant Rollatini and absolutely loved it. For dessert, we shared the Cannoli Dip Dessert, which was outstanding and ideal for the table. Crispy shells with cinnamon served with sweet cannoli cream for dipping -- simple and delicious. I liked it better than an authentic cannoli. All in all, it was a terrific first visit with authentic flavors, great atmosphere, and very enjoyable food. Looking forward to returning.

One of my favorite upgrades is the new deck--you no longer have to walk through sand and end up with sandy feet, which makes a huge difference. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced, the new staff is friendly and attentive, and the service has been consistently great. They also have live music four nights a week, which adds an awesome atmosphere. With its beautiful waterfront setting on the lake, great food and drinks, fun live entertainment, and welcoming staff, The Tiki Cove has become one of my favorite places to relax. Not to mention it was so dark and the lack of lighting (even tho they had string lights, it's clear maintenance is not a priority). The burgers are just cheap frozen patties that were way over cooked. They tasted funky, like a chemical taste to it. The patties were also burnt. It was essentially a hockey puck vs any imagination of real meat. 0/10. They were not good at all. The kids nuggets were virtually processed cardboard. They clearly had been sitting out for a while and warmed up. 0/10. The 8 year old said they tasted funny, so I tried one and it did have a weird taste. Disgusting. The fries, they were under-cooked. We didn't even eat them. Hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Zero salt as well. Honestly, McDonald's would have been a FAR better option for burgers and nuggets. These were absolutely disgusting. I don't really recommend ever going here. If you're in the area, go to Ukulele or In the Loop Brewing. Stay clear of this over priced dump.
