Continues to be the best bar in Westchase. Are there really that many bars in Westchase to make being the "best" a strong superlative? Maybe not. Should there be more bars in Westchase? Nope, because this is the family friendly suburbs. So the fact that our main one is so good is definitely a best case scenario. I always end up here with a group of moms and we fit right in with the clientele. This is definitely more of your older and wiser group. There are tables out front, which I really appreciate. On Mondays they have $6 margaritas. I actually didn't realize they had daily specials until a friend pointed it out. One of my friends asked if they have skinny margaritas and they said all their margaritas are skinny, they don't work off mixes. Fantastic. I got a strawberry margarita and honestly it was a bit sweet for my taste. Next time I'll just go straight basic. This will continue to be my go-to bar. It's always a fun time! read more

I'm a bar neophyte, but I have to say Repeal 18 makes me wish I was an alcoholic (In jest..) The rather unassuming entrance hides a dimly lit bar with photos of patrons arranged on the wall suggesting their prohibition era misdeeds. It is a relatively smaller place with some pool tables/darts on the sides and the bar right in the center. Even the menu is a very "period" piece affair which is cool. They claim to have over 375 brands of whiskey. Wowzers. I ordered 2 drinks- The Nutty Professor Old Fashioned and the Mexican Margarita. The NPOF was a nice whiskey drink that had some sweetness that was atypical. The Mexican Margarita was very unique. Imagine Cucumber strained into a glass with Tequila and Indian chilii powder. Not for the faint of heart, but very cool and different. Happy Hour is from 5pm - 8 pm everyday which is unusual. IIRC, most happy hours are from 4-6pm or 5-7 pm so thats nice. Most drinks are in the 10-11 range. There were 2 bartenders and they brought the drinks quickly and settled the tab just as fast. My only nitpick is they don't serve any type of food. So make plans before or after. Its a nice intimate date spot with great unique, strong well made drinks that I'd definitely return to in the future. read more

My friend is a teacher and only gets to come back to town when she's on breaks. We like to dress up for each other and meet for drinks and dinner. Repeal 18 was our choice of libation stops because of what we hoped would be the ambiance. Their drinks are fantastic, The service was wonderful. But what really, REALLY knocks my review down is the damned TV's. I get personal preference, and bars get people to sit there and mindlessly drink when the game is on. But it really ruins the experience for me when I want to is there with my gals and catch up and there's this monstrosity in the background. I don't expect this to be popular. I know I'm not a sports bar fan, but we are whisky fans. Try the Aphrodite, it's amazing, does this color change trick. You'll thank me. read more

Whiskey Sour is my poison, so I always order that to gauge how good their craft drinks are. I would definitely get another Whiskey Sour; I liked it. It was missing traditional egg white foam on the top, which gives it a more complex touch that I really missed. Was it worth the full price? Not quite, so getting $3 off during Happy Hour on a weekday from 5-8pm made it more worthwhile IMO. Try their cocktail my friend got that includes butterfly pea flower, which with added lime juice turns blue to purple! Their handy dandy book is chalkful of drinks to choose from. The dark lighting wasn't my fav., but I am always drawn to a brighter atmosphere as a personal preference...that way I don't have to strain my eyes & make them work. lol I missed out on getting a loyalty card where after your 10th drink it's free; the waitress said my drink didn't qualify, very puzzling because both my friends received a punch for their cocktail. No hard feelings - I am literally the worst at keeping up with all of these reward cards anyways besides the one from Blind Tiger for coffee; I suggest requesting a loyalty card in advance in case you might have a similar situation to me! read more

I've been coming here for several years and have never had a bad experience. Cliche, I know, but my favorite drink is their 'Infamous Old Fashioned.' It's a delectable take on an old classic. I only spent a short time here. We stopped in for a quick drink on a work night. The place had a few other people there but was pretty empty until it got later around 10:30pm. The atmosphere was kinda grungy and dark. It seemed like you would end up here if someone else had taken you here for the first time and you became a regular. Or you would come here because you like the darker bar atmosphere. The waitress we had was sassy. If you were to sass her, expect some sass back. When the place started to get busier, the service got slower like expected and you could end up waiting awhile for her to remember you needed to order. Unfortunately I do not remember her name but I would assume like her, they can serve you off the menu or make you a special drink at your request if you tell them what you like. In my case, I ended up being basic and ordering off of the menu. I got the "Blind Pig." It tasted just like described and was surprisingly not too strong. read more

It's like cross between a speakeasy and a sports bar. The mixologist are very talented here and friendly. Many different cocktails to choose from but if you're having trouble deciding the bartenders can help with you find your drink. They do have a nice selection of craft beers to choose from as well. I love interesting cocktails with unusual combinations of flavors, and this bar has all that and more. Their drink menu is called The Daily Booze and has a list of all their custom cocktails, plus an extensive list of alcohol the bar carries. I love that they run specials as they try out different drinks to add to it. This last visit I tried The Barb, made with whiskey, rhubarb liqueur, and a strawberry puree - it was a little too sweet for me, but very smooth. My next drink was a special, called Bourberry, made from bourbon with blackberries and blueberries muddled into it. Wonderful! I also tried The Highlander, and after I got over my disappointment at the lack of brawny man in a kilt, I loved the combo of rye, plum bitters, and elder tonic. This bar is larger inside than it looks from the outside, with dim lighting, televisions and a pool table, and plenty of cocktail tables and bar seats. Cool new to me place in the West Chase area. We saddened up to the bar to find two bartenders that were very friendly. This place is a tad upscale offering top shelf fun cocktails and a long list of Whiskeys. We all ordered cocktails and they were crafted quickly for us. They were all very good and matched the menu discriptions to a T. It's a bit loud when larger parties arrive and a large portion of the small bar is the pool table area. Cocktails are a tad pricey but everything else was good. Just don't ask for any portions or ratios on the mixes. You will get a firm decline on that. read more

This used to be a favorite of mine. It really needs some Remodeling. The drinks are expensive but the place has become a dingy dive bar.

I love this place, but $18 for a Buffalo Trace old fashioned which is $35 a bottle is just ridiculous
