Definitely not known for food. This is a great place to drink and the speakeasy is very cool. The drinks in the speakeasy are much better than the drinks out in the bar area. Cool place to watch a game or grab a drink. They allow you to bring food in so that's a good thing. The wings are decent but the rest is not so much. Okay so the photos don't do this place justice...it makes it look like a dive bar but it is NOT at all! Super swanky, hipster vibes, and we loved it! Plenty of room at the bar in comfy chairs and tons of seating elsewhere. You can watch the games or just chill. And then after you can head back to the speakeasy located behind the bookcase! Super fun place, good music, you can do a flight of 6 beers, good mixed drinks menu or I got a large glass of house wine on draft. The pizza was delish. We will def be back! read more

I keep coming back to see if the service has gotten better and every time I go, the servers ignore me and will place orders for the MEN who arrived after I sat down. Three stars simply because they do have decent food, good drink deals, and a clean restroom. The service however is terrible, especially if you're a female. It's way better to get away from the servers and check out Babs Secret Lounge instead. read more

Conveniently located next to our hotel so we walked over with a group of 6. We walked in around 6pm on a Saturday and there was one girl taking care of everyone in the restaurant, including the bar. She was friendly but clearly being overworked. The beer list is impressive and they had some great local options as well as interesting options from all over. They also had a few good specials going on that a few of us took advantage of. When we went to order food, she said it would be over an hour for everyone's to come out. The menu mentions it multiple times that there is a long wait for food, which seems weird. They also weren't selling any wings because they were saving them for the Super Bowl.. It was definitely over an hour before each person received their food and every meal came out separately. The food was pretty good considering how strange the process of ordering was. We would probably come back because it's convenient but it's just your typical sports bar. read more

International Bier Garten For whatever reason, my friends used to like this place so I've been coming here a lot. We all got disrespected by one of the bartenders a few Saturdays ago and after that, we all decided not to visit International Bier Garten ever again. I wish I read all the online reviews before visiting this place. It looks like the bartenders can do whatever they want, including throwing beers at customers and cussing them. After I dealt with the rude and unprofessional bartender I decided to reach out to the owner but it seems like he's OK with what's going on. Well, everyone can do business however they want. Terrible service is one thing but beer prices are another. Most of the beers cost $8, even domestics. House liquor is the worst you can get and food... Don't even try. I've been going there even though beer is way overpriced because I felt like supporting local places but not anymore. They simply don't care. The good news is that my friends are also fed up with this place so I won't have to go there ever again. Well deserved one star. read more

Great draft beer options over 30 options, they have something for everyone. Located right off the Suncoast it's in a great location. They have indoor and outdoor seating and offer live music. Their hours are impressive Monday through Friday 3:00 PM - 2:00. Saturday 12:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Sunday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM. They have some pub food and various pizzas. I didn't have any food here this time, but will definitely try a pizza next time, it goes great with beer!! They have a huge sized parking lot on the side of the building. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Great place to try different beers you can't get any where else. read more

This was my first time. The Beer Garden is not anything special. Bar food, pizza, and and good array of beers. I had the pretzel balls which was a huge portion and very good. It also has a hidden speakeasy. I really liked this place. It is small but stylish. There is no food here and you can't bring food from the bar, so eat first. The mixologists are awesome. Drinks are pricey $13/&15 but really great. They have a cocktail list with very interesting drinks, but they can make anything you want. The expresso martinis were a favorite in our group. I had a banana pancake old fashioned with was yummy. Then I had a raspberry basil martini which was very refreshing ! Would definitely go back! read more

Would definitely not recommend. Awful service and staff. First, she dropped an entire beer bottle on our table and laughed about it.. When I didn't laugh with our waitress about it, she began by calling me "rude as f***" and how she was about to go off on me. Definitely didn't feel welcomed and wanted there. Will definitely not be going back here based upon the staff they employ. I totally love being attacked by a waitress when we're trying to have a nice night out. Sleazy Dive Bar Alert!! This place blatantly violates the Florida Clean Air Act by opening their "garage door" and allowing old men to smoke huge stogies 2 feet from the inside. All the smoke wafts inside, making it smell horribly. After 2 minutes my eyes were burning like they were on fire. We used to come here every so often, but with the overpriced drinks, no food and lack of service, what's the point? I guess they can keep catering to the 3 remaining customers they have left. Ever have an experience where just about everything goes sideways? This was one of those nights. ‍ First, i'd like to address the band. Good Laaawd they were awful. A bar like this should pull in better talent. A good band keeps the place buzzing and this band was way off the mark. First mistake was not ordering beer from a place with beer in the name. Two bloody Mary's and two margaritas. All of which tasted watered down and not much flavor. The server came and took our order without writing anything down. That would be ok if she remembered it all but clearly she didn't. The food began coming out and was dropped off on the table. We didn't have silverware, napkins or plates. Had to wave someone down for that. We ordered 20 wings and got 10. My wife ordered a side of buffalo sauce that never came. We ordered a supreme pizza without black olives adding bacon and jalapeños, cooked crispy. We received a cheese pizza with bacon, jalapeños that looked like it was cooked crispy. We explained the mistake and they removed the pizza. When the pizza was returned it was clear they took the first pizza, added the missing ingredients and put it back in the oven. Normally this might be ok but an already crispy pizza placed back in the oven produced a burnt pizza. Truthfully, I was shocked they even brought it to the table based on how it looked. Took one bite and it was full of burnt flavor so we said we didn't want it. Here's the bright spot though. Every server we did speak with was very nice and they did apologize. The kid from the kitchen, think he was the expo, was super apologetic and really kind. The establishment removed the pizza from the bill and made us another one. Very unexpected and great way to recover. Our daughter ordered a small pizza and the other ordered nachos. The nachos were very good. Putting them in the oven made the chips w crisp and had a good flavor. The pizza, didn't really have any flavor. They mention their sauce on the menu but the pizza (daughters and ours that was remade) lacked any sauce that we could see/taste. Safe to assume that this establishment is more of a bar and doesn't pay their bills with food service. So if you're going for a beer, this is the place. read more

I'll give this place credit for being consistent. The food is good. The atmosphere is always extremely loud. The beer selection is great but the mix drinks are terrible and the staff always has shitty attitudes. They act like their 10s when their 2's at best. There's not much in the area so I feel like this establishment has a captive audience, which probably gives the owners or management the illusion that the place is great. My advice either order food to go and drink at home or go to Babs the secret bar adjacent for an amazing drink and then order food to go. read more

This is a place I've been to numerous times yet never have reviewed. I have always enjoyed myself when I come here and the food and service are always top notch. There are various theme nights throughout the year and each one is entertaining for sure. I decided to come in last Monday night to watch the College Football National Championship game. The bartender working was Cassie. One of my favorites by far. She is always friendly and ensures you are well taken care of during yoUr visit. She made it a point to not only ensure we were taken care of but made time to come by and chat a few times throughout the night. Cassie is definitely an asset to the business . I only came for beer and chicken wings on this particular night. I have had the pizza in the past and it has always been good. The Honey BBQ chicken wings on this visit were perfectly cooked and tasted better than I expected. Sorry I did not take any photos on this trip. Overall this was a great experience at IBG as always. I'll definitely return not only for the great selection of beer but for the excellent service I receive. read more

Apparently, asking for food after you were served food is considered demanding. I have been coming for almost a year to this hole in the wall/dive bar. To be disrespected and refused service because of a bad tip from previous experience is unbelievable. The only good part is the hidden bar there (BABS). But if you check out reviews on here and google reviews about disrespectful the staff is, it's true. And management and owner do side with these unprofessionals unfortunately. I would highly recommend walking across the plaza for about 10 seconds and go to Glory Days where servers and people treat people like people instead of criminals and degenerates. Our bartender was so kind & so friendly and recommended some food & beer options which we ordered & we definitely weren't disappointed! The bartenders were attentive and made sure our beers were never empty, which was really nice given that they were pretty busy - no empty seats at bar area. There are multiple TV screens with different sporting events going but sound from TVs wasn't obnoxious like at some bars. There was a customer smoking in the patio area and they had the doors to the patio area open so once in a while the cigarette smoke came wafting in which was low key annoying but didn't discourage us from wanting to visit again. read more

Out in the swampy marshes of Lutz, someone has planted a garden; my favorite kind of garden, a beer garten... First off, the focus is on the "international beer" and not the "beer garten" (rather, bier garten), because it isn't German themed, it is more like it is vice-themed. Cigars? Yes, and a wrap around area to smoke them on. Beers? 52 of them on tap and more in bottles last time I looked. Sports on the several TV's around the room? You know it. Attractive bar tenders? Got that too. Food comprised primarily of cheese, fats and starches? Probably, though I have never eaten here. The beer selection is awesome! With a mix of local beers and international brews, as well as everything from light pilsners to black as night stouts, there is something available for every beer palate. There is also a full liquor menu for those who prefer cocktails. Service has always been impeccable when I've visited. The servers are consistently friendly, attentive and know what I'm drinking and when to refill it. I've been very impressed. Honestly, this bar is one of the reasons I choose to stay in Lutz rather than down the road when I'm in Tampa. read more

A friend of mine took me over here twice this past week. The place is laid out like a pretty typical pub, with a great number of tables, booths and the like, a patio, and several TV's (including one above the urinal - extra marks for that!). On the right side when you walk in are about 6 huge fridges full of bottles of beer, and straight ahead towards the left is the main bar with about 40ish taps. The menu has the taps first and then their bottle selection broken down by style. It would have been nice to see a breakdown by region as well.. They have a great selection to be sure, but the one issue that we did run into was many beers that were listed were not available. One thing that they do is list beers that are not yet tapped in the menu, which is frustrating as one keeps ordering beers that aren't tapped. A simple chalkboard would fix this. All in all a good, but not great, beer bar. read more

Friday night, sat at the bar with friends. Ordered a Hofbrau Bier, cold and refreshing. After a couple beers, we ordered pretzel sticks. They were hot and tasty, came with three sauces. Later ordered a margarita pizza. It was fair, crust had the texture of a frozen pizza. Fortunately the beer washed it down, so not all was lost. The bartenders are very friendly. We are not new to the area but new to IBG. We don't typically eat much at bars and not big beer drinkers. They have a great selection of beer! But, the cocktails are great too. It's crazy how good the wings and pizza was!! I had applewood dry rub and the Bourbon and blood Orange. (Bob). So good. After we ate, head into BABS. This was a nice find while staying in the area. Was staying at the hotel close by in walking distance. There is a nice selection of beers, sours and ciders. Also a nice selection (not really full bar) of other drinks. I did not want to give a 5 star because the one evening ordered some food and was not the best. Ordered chicken nachos and have to say was very disappointed. The cheese was over done and almost burnt. The chicken was dry. However, I was very impressed with the selections on tap. Was able to get some good Florida beers while staying in one place.
