A friend introduced us to sing class which my son loves and has taught him how to sing and dance and develop a great love for music. There is playtime on certain days, baby yoga, private events and picture events for purchase. Wonderful staff and a wonderful place for kids to go and play, sing and have fun! Thank you, Teeny Bee!

(Well, except the clothes. They really have no opinion on clothing yet. But I'm sure they would love them, if they were old enough to understand fashion.) The owner is super nice and has great suggestions on what to buy even if you only have a vague idea of what you're looking for. She's been all over the store showing me things she thought my babies would like, and opened some of the packages so we could try them out. The place is called Teeny Bee for a reason, they have a lot of baby stuff, and some toddler stuff, but not much for kiddos older than that. They do have classes in the basement that I think are usually free- dance classes and music classes. I can't wait til my boys are old enough to go! You should also "like" her page on FB, she announces random sales and gives product reviews. Here's the only slightly negative- it's on the expensive side. But it's boutique stuff that you can't buy at Babies-R-Us or Target. And in my opinion, it's way better than most of the stuff you'll get there anyhow, but I know how it feels to pay mucho money for something your kid will only wear for a month (if you're lucky.) But sometimes you just have to buy stuff like that because it's SO DARN CUTE!

J.W. Hulme and I have a long and sorted relationship. I did business there for several years until…read morethey started outsourcing to China. Apparently they recognized that they were losing business by removing their manufacturing from the US. Now I'm back, because they have been offering items made in the US albeit, I don't know if they are being made in Minnesota. For myself, I am a bit of a purse snob. I have several vintage Coach and D&B purses from my mother's youth. However, I exclusively purchase French made Longchamps and American made J.W.Hulmes. I get loads of compliments on my Hulme bags. Most are reminiscent of New York City made Coach bags. They are heirloom items. I purchased my first Longchamp 17 years ago and they came with a "key leash." I prevents my keys from sinking to the bottom of my purse and stops me from panicking if I can't locate them immediately. Now J W Hulme's American made purses have a key leash. Hopefully, they are visible in the photo I've posted. Not only are they offering American made leather products, but they are offering clothing and accessories. They usually state in their catalog where the item is made. I started purchasing the majority of my Christmas and birthday gifts again at J.W. Hulme. I like that they're offering other things. It gives me more to chose from when it comes to presents. I am not going into their retail shop, as my first experience was less than pleasant. I'm very pleased to exclusively purchase from the catalog. I bought one small, "imported" purse for my stepdaughter. I didn't want to spend a fortune on the item, because I wasn't sure she'd appreciate purses yet. It was made in China. She loved the purse so much, that it fell apart within a couple of months. Stick with the America, British or even Mexican made products from this retailer and you'll be pleased. I pray that they are employing those fine leather artists here in Minnesota.

It's my hope that people continue to provide them with new and gently used clothes, homewares, makeup, haircare, and other goods that help people feel like the wonderful people of our community that they are. Everyone deserves some time away to shop for the things they need or better yet, the things they want, for themselves or their friends or family. Please give to this organization and drop in to see what they are all about. A store that operates for free for people to "buy" what they need and feel human, when so many people make them feel second class...this is a model many other organizations should adopt.

I came here to share my donation experience and how easy it was to coordinate with the staff at JC,…read morethey also helped me unload about 15-20 bags that I had gathered from a drive I was doing for the holidays. Being Born and raised in St Paul I am shocked I had no idea this non profit existed and was pleased to stumble upon it online while looking for places to donate. I love the concept of being able to have a dignified shopping experience for those in need hence why I chose JC to donate to. But I am disheartened by the reviews I am reading from folks in the community as I am biracial myself and have a biracial family. I truly hope that a Christian based non profit is not discriminating against people of color or mistreating those that are in need. I encourage you to listen to those expressing their experiences and concerns and for JC to do better moving forward.
