Sally at the front desk is a doll and absolutely accommodated my requests and fit me into their busy schedule. Dr. Soral is awesome! Very thorough yet gentle. Explained everything in detail to me. I just saw Dr Zerbo the other day, after being referred to a specialist for my particular case, I was astonished when he called me that evening to check up on me. Experience was kinda meh... I wanna say I went maybe about a year ago? Good amount of dentists there I'll say that, so it's not like it's one singular person working. Uhhh recently my filling literally fell out though. I'm not even kidding. And it's been maybe a year or so? I specifically asked to see Dr. Peck and was told I would be seeing him. I had seen him in the past in a different location. I went there in extreme pain, and when I asked about who I was seeing I was told he wasn't available, I was in extreme pain & agreed to see anyone at that point, which i think they expected, and the instead of dealing with the situation head & getting me a dentist asap, they took me on a tour of the facility and spit out information about their facility and dental their own dental insurance..(really?) then finally sat me down in a room where an assistant tried to figure out how to get decent X-rays, all while I was suffering in excruciating pain, finally a dentist came in and fumbled around in my mouth until trying to send me off to their in-house Endocrinologist. The whole visit was a joke. No regard for their patients well being. All a gimmick to get new patients. read more

When it came time for front caps I did not like the consultation with my dentist of 20 years. My wife suggested time for a change and recommended Babylon Dental Care (BDC). When I arrived, at BDC I saw the immediate difference just in the use of technology alone. All of the staff were upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. The hygienist engaged me, and it was evident they were experienced, and they just didn't stand in the shadow of the lead dentist. BDC made financial aspects painless with their dedicated person for insurance and financing for the extensive work I needed. My prior dentist did not even take insurance. Went to see Dr.Wrann for a filling and he ended up hitting my lingual nerve with the novocaine injection. It's been almost two months and the right side on my tongue is still numb and I have no sense of feeling or taste. First I was greeted by awesome lady Karen which was one of the nicest greeter ever Then I was escorted threw the office by Miss Melody .Who gave me tour.Never had that in any office great personality.Love the butterflys. Explained everything.Even told me when she was bringing the doctor.Dr David explained everything as well.Once the Doctor was done. This place is great and the service is top notch they helped me when I had emergencies such as cracked teeth or cavities. And I am not an easy patient as I do have a lot of dental problems however my only complaint is that at times once you are done with your procedure or appointment it can feel like a shock being led right to the front desk to be told insurance doesn't cover everything or you will need to spend a large amount of money if you want your teeth fixed and will need to pay now before you can think about it. Often it catches you off guard and can lead you to doubting your decision or unsure if everything is needed as the dentist didn't even come and explain everything in the first place but the front desk did explain the bill read more

Too expensive. This place has updated, upscale equipment. It is in between mid-scale and upscale to me as when it comes to the service and price. When you take a tour of the back you will see what I am writing about. When you speak to the hygienist you will see. Although I have dental coverage through my husband's job the out of pocket amount was still wayyyyyyy up there. Don't get me wrong when you walk in you are treated like a king and queen, but again the out of pocket amount is what had me looking for a new dental facility. The quality and care is excellent but in the last few years there have been many changes, the biggest is now you are required to pay half for services at the time you make an appointment for work to be done. Spent about $5,000.00 or more on teeth extractions and on temporary dentures in May of 2021 that I can not even wear. They are way too big and make me look like a horse. They fall right out! I have barely left my house in almost 2 years because I can't wear them! They want more money for permanents that I can not afford right now! Thank God for masks or I wouldn't even be able to go to the dr! So very disappointed and upset! They used to be my favorite place to go that I would just pay out of pocket to use them! I am extremely disappointed in Babylon Dental Care. My father had recommended me to use them as he had such a great experience with Dr. Brown many years ago. Upon entry I was given not one, but two different patient's paperwork with secure information that was not mine. I let that go. Upon examination, everyone was excellent -the hygienist, the dentist, but at the end I am brought to the front only to be told my insurance isn't in network. I verified that the office took my insurance THREE times before my visit - over text message and email and each time they said yes we are in network. However AFTER my exam, I was told I was out of network. I would never have gone here had I known that . I felt that this office wronged me and made me pay anyway. Would not recommend. Babylon Dental in West Babylon location were fantastic!! This group is top notch! From Jo answering the phones thru the whole staff!! I used to go to them before I changed insurance co. I had made a recent visit for a 2nd opinion because they were great in the past. I had a cracked wisdom tooth & was concerned on what to do. I was met by Leana an assistant who was welcoming and friendly & lead me to the room. She discussed the process & took a few x Ray's then Dr. Gaynor met me in the room & explained everything & answered my questions. I felt safe, & taken care of. Unlike my 1st interaction at a completely differant dentist. They referred me to Oral surgeons in Massapequa. This office was also top notch. I had my procedure & was walked thru the whole process during the extraction. I felt very safe & comfortable. No pain!! Thank you! I highly recommend these two groups. read more

I have spent the day in sticker shock over the cost BDC is (was) planning on charging me for permanent bridge, and the length of time they are going to need to do it! I've heard from various other sources...including those working in dentistry that a permanent bridge should only be a two appointment procedure. I've been seeing Dr Monica and she couldn't be less helpful. She has yet to explain to me the details of my procedure (that for some reason is going to cost me 14k!) I've seen her (and one or two others) since Dr Zerbo left, and each of them is worse than the last. I had an appointment with Dr Monica today...which was conducted solely by the assistant. Monica came blowing in at the end (standard operating procedure for this place nowadays) says hi, and is about to breeze on out again until I stopped her to ask her what procedures were being done...when... and why. I left none the wiser...with them wanting HALF of the $14,000 up front. Seriously? My SIL is getting a full set of implants for about 20k, in ONE day, yet I'm paying 14k for 2 teeth, which for some reason will require at least three more visits. It has been said before that this practice is very aggressive in pushing expensive procedures, instead of fixing things that are fixable. One of my 14k teeth is just a crown that fell out. They suggested an implant because reattaching it "might not work." Maybe we should go that route first, before we jump headlong into a 7k procedure? From what I could understand as Monica zipped past me and tried to explain everything with her mask still on. Live on the edge Monica...social distance yourself from me if need be, and take off the mask while talking to me. It's not only rude, but it's unprofessional and makes it impossible to understand you. I need to do a certain amount of lip reading when talking to people I'm unfamiliar with, so unless I develop X-Ray vision...I'm lost. (I would have mentioned that to her, but she tore ass out of the room before I had the chance) I'm wondering if this is part of post pandemic care. Before it, every doctor seemed very competent. Dr Zerbo was a dream dentist. Everything was gone over before the procedure was done, and then again afterwards, while providing me the info on what I should avoid for the few hours of aftercare. I am DONE with this dump. I have no idea what the hell what they were planning on doing to me at our next visit. I could very well end up leaving with a spare set of dentures laying around, and a C-PAP machine! read more

Must take a moment to leave a review as if anyone is like me, I look at what other people say & in terms of Dental Care, I get anxious when it comes to getting care. And I don't want to worry that it's all about $$. I highly recommend BDC as I have started my care here & they are absolutely incredible!! From the moment you walk in! Yesterday I had the fortune of being treated by Nicole the Dental Hygienist. She actually took the time to sit w/me PIOR to even treating me! & talk to me Re: My goals of treatment. She took away all my anxiety as she was honest, professional & explained EVERYTHING in such a manner it blew me away. Her treatment was beyond incredible & I have NEVER had a hygeniest who showed I was not just a #. Her treatment was impeccable, she made sure I felt no pain, & I had no doubts about upcoming care. As far as I am concerned she is a Rockstar! Don't care how corny this may sound but to anyone on the fence about going here, EVERYONE I have had treatment from or have encountered from the kind xray techs, to the admin & billing staff... I can't stress how happy I am. 63 yrs young, do need alot of work to try & have a pretty smile for once in my life. I myself have worked in the Healthcare field for 20+yrs . My husband Raymond Rodriguez was there on 11/11/23 to get a root canal. Let me say I was afraid to go and get the procedure done because of my pass experience. But dr wrann and his assistant day did a phenomenal job. I felt at ease with both of them.dr wrann guided me, step-by-step on what he was going to do and his assistant day made sure that I was the most comfortable throughout the procedure. The WORST dental office I've ever dealt with! My husband went there last weekend for a broken tooth after they said they took our insurance, when he got there they said the insurance "site was down" so they couldn't verify it and had him pay an emergency fee to be told we CAN fix this as a filling but not today, come back make another appointment. We get a call from billing that they submitted the emergency fee and it processed and once they receive payment from insurance we'll get that money back. My husband goes today to the next appointment, we figured great they called and obviously verified the insurance bc they put the other claim through, to be told now they are out of network for our specific group. No one thought to call and tell us this before we wasted yet another Saturday driving to their office. The icing on the cake was when I inquired about the $75 refund we still haven't seen, even though our insurance verified and processed the claim they still won't issue a refund yet, to be told by Ashley in billing that she "did us a favor" submitting to insurance. I'm sorry, no, you did your job, you and the practice didn't do anything proactive to help us avoid wasting 2 weekends and still $75 to not have a broken tooth fixed. A Scam. I've been apart of their practice for 7 years and should have seen the red flags once the pandemic hit. My cleaning was out off for several months , once I returned to their office for the first time in 2020, all the dentist who worked their prior quit the job! Even my own dentist who was phenomenal left after being there 12 years. For the past year Babylon has done nothing but try and squeeze every penny out of me. They even lied about taking my insurance and tried to bill me, thankfully I will no longer have to deal with the scam that is Babylon Dental Care. Be warned! read more

I chose Babylon dental for their extended business hours,what a big mistake that was at first the were friendly sat down with me and gave me an estimate of what my out of pocket would be and what insurance would cover, I then proceeded to have the work done. When I scheduled my follow up appointment the told me they don't have a payment plan I said fine and schedule my appointment so that I can have time to make up the money. About a month after the 2 initial visits I received a bill in the mail for $945 when supposedly all of this would be covered by insurance, I called and got no where all I was told sorry insurance did not cover it but we can work out a payment plan,I then proceeded to State I was told you don't do payment plans and the woman on the phone states I'm sorry you were mid informed. I then showed up to the office with all my paperwork and explanation of benefits and previous claims for that year,was told someone would get back to me no one ever did and I received the bill again in the mail. When I called the office the woman on the phone told me oh yes I remember you last we spoke you were going to do a payment plan, I told her no last we spoke you were going to review all my claim and benefits and find out were everything went wrong she conveniently didn't remember that but stated that she had all my paperwork in front of her . She called me back a week later after that conversation and now all the numbers with insurance and copayment is not adding she is now contradicting herself and is stating things we never discussed For your sake do not go here they will say what ever the want to get you to do dental work and to get you money and put people in debt. read more

Wow! I have been wanting to leave this practice for the last year and now i have confirmation of why. In the past 5 yrs i have been going to this office with my entire family they never let you make payments all work has to be paid in full end of story. Now in the middle of a pandemic they are saying i owe them $ from 2018 & 2019.....they email me a handwritten bill of explanation, really i am appalled and alarmed that an office so structured about never letting customers make payments and i have been in there consistently over the last few years and it never came up before this!!! it seems very strange makes me definitely question their honesty not to mention their timing is horrific. I have been going here for over ten years and Dr. Gaines is the best dentist I have ever had.The staff is very nice and this would be five stars if a few sketchy things had not occurred.After completing a five tooth bridge the office staff discovered they were charging for four teeth.I now owed one thousand dollars more.A few years later some of the porcelain broke off that bridge.I was told a repair would only last days and a new bridge would be best,that was three years ago. Had a decent dentist and came here because I moved in with my boyfriend. Made an appointment months prior for July. Called up weeks before the July date to reschedule (my bridal shower was being thrown that day) they had no appointments. Sally said I would be on a "VIP" list and for now to take the sept 8th appointment (as my wedding was 9/22) I wanted whitening so that wasn't super ideal. I was going through my weekly calendar and my fiancé reminded me about the dental appointment. Something felt off especially with this, "VIP" list... the girl on the phone was nice but told me my appointment was Nov 2nd. She couldn't transfer me to a manager or give me a phone number. She said the manager Tori would call me this week. So to be clear, I called in July to reschedule and apparently they booked me in November. Almost half a year needed for an appointment? Unreal. Imagine if you had an emergency? Looks like I'll be looking for a new dentist/hygienist. Update 9/8/18: the next day Brooke called me and let me know they fit me in for a 9:50 on 9/8. I went and it was a good experience with an extremely detail orientated hygienist. Totally got the vibe that they were talking about this, but what can ya do? Had a tray made for whitening which I'll pick up at 7:30am on Saturday. Good deal on that. Brooke herself checked me out and explained she was alerted to this review and they actually called a hygienist in to accommodate as she agreed that was too long to wait for an appointment. She also shared my sentiments for the VIP list. She seemed empathetic and understanding. I told her I'd update my review. This is a wonderful dental practice. Everyone is always so pleasant and the office is immaculate . I go here even though they do not accept my insurance in full . The entire staff goes out of their way to make your visit a pleasant one and everything is carefully explained . They even have kids' cartoons in the rooms for my grandson who was thrilled to watch "Chuggington" today while I had my teeth cleaned. I recommend Babylon Dental all the time !!! read more

I have NEVER been treated so poorly by ANY 'doctors/dentists' office in my life. I went in with a broken tooth and was in extreme pain. Next thing i know i am being presented with a $7.000 estimate/invoice and told there is nothing they could do for me if I don't pay it all upfront. When I told them I couldn't afford that at this time the office manager, Kathy, and the doctor just crossed their arms and stared at me, not saying a word. Basically pay it or get out. Not to mention Kathy was VERY rough around the edges and has terrible bedside manner, not willing to help make a solution. I felt like I was at the emergency vet and they were telling me since I didn't have the money i had to put my dog down. Ive sent multiple people there and have made sure i have told every one of them my experience. Not to mention they had the nerve to ask me if I could call anyone to ask for money. Followed up with a different dental office, not as flashy, but complete night and day. Made me feel welcome, did a complete exam and made a specific treatment plan for me. The dentist sat down with me and explained everything that was wrong with my teeth through my xrays and pictures he had just taken. The ladies in the office were also very accomodating and super nice. Will absolutely be going back. BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE!! I was looking for a dentist and hadn't been in too long. A coworker recommended the place since his family went. He came back with a card for a free exam and xrays that they give out to customers. From the point I first walked in, they were nothing but friendly and professional. They performed a cleaning. Explained what kind of work I would need. Didn't pressure me in anyway. They also understood how to best spread it out for insurance purposes. Also, if you don't have dental insurance, they have a plan option of their own, which saved me some money. I had the procedures done with a clear explanations. They discussed everything, gave clear instructions, and answered any questions I had. The staff will take care of all insurance coordination and are super helpful. I highly recommend them. read more

Friendly, but shady business practices. They go it if their way to put you at ease with upfront cost assessment, but they lie if necessary to cajole you into having work done. They told me I was covered, did the procedure, then sent me a bill! I called, and they told me that it was "unfortunate" that my insurance didn't cover it. I ended up owing $800 when it was supposed to be half of that. They know full well what each insurance covers and what it doesn't. They employ people solely for that purpose. I also recently found out that they charge double what other dentists do. My crown last year cost $1,700! (Half was covered, and they helped me open a Care account for the rest). They are very good at what they do... making money. read more

I had not been to a dentist in about 4 years. I went for a general check up. The office is so clean and organized. The front staff greeted me immediately. Everyone is so kind and warm. Michelle was wonderful and showed me all of the rooms and explained my whole appointment. She was very friendly and thorough. Dr. Zerbo was also very nice and thorough. Everyone was so professional (and very good looking). My whole experience surpassed all my expectations and I will be returning for all future care. read more

I had a complimentary exam and x-rays taken here a few days ago. My hygienist was very thorough and gave me an office tour before they got started. Had to wait about 10 minutes, but that was my fault because I was 10 minutes late! Oops. I was hesitant to go to a new dentist after a bad experience in Nassau...they were incapable of doing x-rays without screwing it up and they wanted me to get a $1,000 deep cleaning, LOL no. Babylon Dental recommended a deeper cleaning and signing up for their savings plan, but didn't force me to do anything that day. They also did a periodontal probe, which I have never received in 33 years at a dentist! After my exam, Dr. Zerbo came in to do a followup exam and he seemed very helpful as well. I never thought I'd write a review about a dental office but I had to after getting possibly the best cleaning and thorough exam I've ever had. Painless and my teeth actually looked like they were whitened ( they weren't ). The front desk was welcoming and Dr Kahn was excellent. They worked harmoniously as a team. I have had the WORST experience with dentists and there offices. When coworkers recommended Babylon dental I was still skeptical. My first visit went great. Other then trying to sell me an expensive electric toothbrush. The girls were nice, the dentist was great as well. They told me the problem, gave me my options and even told me how much it would be before he fixes my tooth. It didn't seem to expensive so I paid it. They even have laughing gas which nobody ever has anymore. I left feeling better and very happy. I was told I had the start of gingivitis so I had two more appointments with the girl who does the cleaning. I left in a lot of pain with a script for pain pills and had to have gas both times. I was swollen and bloody. But I guess that's how it is. I paid $90 each time. I had to have a bridge done because of a horrible dentist who botched pulling a tooth the year before in Levittown. There was so much bone missing an implant wouldn't take. So again I had Babylon dental do it. I opened a care credit card and charged the whole $1300. And paid in full. Little did I know it was veneers which is why it was so expensive. I would've opted out if I had known. But again they were so good to me, I trusted them Now comes the reason of the one star. My bridge was done and paid for in December 2014, my other work from June and May was paid in full also. So why am I getting a $1300 bill dated for January? Oh and then I guess they thought they'd be slick and try to put a claim into my husband new insurance that kicked in on January first 2015 for my work from last June. Again that dental work was put threw my insurance last year and paid in full and they tried to get more money from my husbands insurance. Can you say insurance fraud? This won't be the last place o tell this story. I'll be sure to let everyone know. And there is no excuse or reason that they could possibly come up with. If you need a quick fix they are your people. And then never go back to them again. read more

Let me start off by saying I am an extremely nervous patient. I made that known during my new patient exam. During which exam, I was in tears because I was so scared. So for my deep scaling, I told the dentist and hygienist that I need sedation, as I saw that available on the website. They called in a prescription for me, and gave me nitrous, and Paige, my hygienist, was so sweet and patient. She made my nervous feelings pretty much disappear. What a nice, young lady read more

I went to Babylon Dental Care as a new patient for an emergent pain visit. Saw Dr John Wrenn. He diagnosed the problem quickly and got me out of pain with a partial root canal. It was the first time I had a totally pain free dental procedure, to say nothing of a root canal! He was very knowledgeable, fast and I had absolutely no pain afterwards. He called me to check on how I was feeling later that evening. Great Dentist! And, I never recommend doctors or dentists! On top of that, the Hygienists at BDC were the best - really caring and very capable. Kristen was so helpful in helping me through my dental fear. And the Reception staff and other team members were the nicest and most accommodating I have ever encountered. I was new to the practice and they made sure I was seen and therefore pain free. Oh and they offer sedation dentistry - this practice and Dr Wrenn/Kirsten in particular are simply the best! read more
