Im currently sitting beside my girlfriend, who is having her last Invisalign tray put in at vitagliano orthodontics, and good lord I have never been to a medical office as clean as this one. It is very obvious that great lengths are taken to maintain an environment like this. Literally, the building is immaculate (see pictures). So far I've counted at least 7 dental assistants and they all seem to be busy with patients. They are extremely organized and it seems like everyone here is happy. As I write this review on my smartphone, Dr. Vitagliano is walking around right now looking as sharp as mr. Clean, making sure that everything is running smoothly. I'm only 25 years old but when I have kids, I know where I'm taking them. Looking over into the corner, I see that they even use an autoclave machine. Now, I only know what that is because I do biology research, and we use it to sterilize equipment before running experiments. So let me tell you, seeing that they sterilize their equipment with research grade hardware is a very very good sign. They also have a shark tank Now I want to get my teeth done here :( read more

If you are in need of simply correcting some crooked teeth, this is your place. Most of the time it's fast in and out time. Most of the girls who work here are very nice. However, if you require anything more than the minimum, anything that requires true orthodontic care, this place is not able to accommodate you. They work as a factory would, pumping people in and out, but anyone requiring extra care will not receive it. I began Invisalign due to my jaw painfully popping out of place and my bite being off. Over a year later, my jaw is still popping out of place and my phone calls are not being returned. I called last week and was told I would receive a call back. I called again today (a week later) to explain that the pain is as bad as it was a year ago, and a week ago when I called. I was promised I would receive a call back before the end of the day. They closed three hours ago. A few months ago, I had a visit where I was supposed to have my second round of trays scanned in. After waiting over an hour, I was told the machine was not available for me and would need to return over two weeks later while still wearing already overused trays. I was not happy at all and only because one person working that shift took pity on me, they found a machine and took the only 5 minutes it took to scan my teeth for new trays. I couldn't believe I was going to have to wait a full month (bc it takes two weeks for new trays to come in) Bc they couldn't find five minutes to devote a machine to me. I even let that slide at the time bc every business has their off day. But now I'm not receiving answers while consistently explaining I am in pain. I don't appreciate being ignored. When I first had a consult over a year ago, I was told Invisalign would not work for me. Eight months later I came in for a write up of metal braces, and I was looked at like I had three heads. "Invisalign would definitely work for you. I don't know why we said that." This location is all about appearances. The staff is always friendly, the building is clean and has a very impressive fish tank, sharks and all. But at the end of the day, I need an orthodontist who can fix my bite and jaw pain and take the time to care for patients who are calling with unreturned phone calls. Not impress me with a fish tank and smiles. I will be in for my next visit in January and I am not happy with the lack of service I've received after paying over four grand for this treatment. We have been with this practice for nine years and are very satisfied with the outcome of both of our daughter's care. Insurance fraud Just called by them to say my insurance isn't paying claims for braces that were taken off six months ago Why they are still billing insurance when I paid my balance in cash in September 2017! I called the insurance co. And they said that they never sent paper work that my daughter braces were off! They just kept billing them to recoup the max benefit! Don't understand why they think they won't get caught. Guess this is how they pay tons of staff and you never see the real orthodontist! read more

Dr Vitagliano had my daughter in an expanded and braces for 4 1/2 years. She started with a cross bite, and it was never addressed with head gear or rubber bands. After the full course of treatment her teeth appeared to be good at first, but it didn't last long. Her dominant bottom jaw led her back to a cross bite. Dr Vitagliano never even mentioned that it was an issue. It took his patient coordinator to point out that my daughter was going to fracture her teeth if it wasn't corrected. He said that we would do Invisalign express to fix the bite, but wanted more money (thousands). I expressed that we paid for a healthy bite and that's what I expected. He refused to treat my daughter. We went for two other opinions. They both said Invisalign express wouldn't have done anything, and he totally neglected the structural issues with my daughters bite. One orthodontist said, to fix the issue, that Dr Vitagliano could've prevented, my daughter needed her top jaw broken and shifted forward. The other orthodontist suggested putting her back in full braces at 15 years old and using headgear and rubber bands to try to pull the top jaw forward, before her bones fused due to the end of growing. We chose the later course of treatment, and had to pay another dentist to redo the damage Dr Vitagliano had done. We still aren't sure if she's going to end up needing jaw surgery. He was horrendous! We reached out many times to try to get him to step up and fix the issue, and he didn't return any phone calls and told his manager not to give us my daughters records. It was only after telling him that by law he had to provide the documents, that we received them. He's all about money, and doesn't care for his patients' outcome! read more

Both my children have been here and are finally done thank god. We are going elsewhere for maintenance. Dr "Joe" doesn't even work on the patients he just tells the technicians what to do and he leaves. Not sure what he does. He has acknowledged me about twice in the several years we've been coming here and even then didn't call me the right name! He'll look at my kids mouth, tell the technician what to do and then he moves on not even saying hello. I've been overcharged and told that's what I agreed to when I clearly didn't. I wouldn't recommend it's a factory and they are all about the money. read more

Do not get treated here. Joe Vitagliano is a snake and piece of excrement. He is a condescending, arrogant piece of work. He treated my son for 4 years. We were unhappy with his treatment and questioned him constantly about the lack of progression. Now he goes back on his word and takes it out on us. He was only supposed to have a night brace for 1 year. He had it for 3 years. We questioned it after 1 year and a few months and were brushed off telling us its working. After 3 years we were told its not working and he needs the Herbst appliance and threatened that if he didn't get it he would need surgery and his smile would never be straight. We did our research and reluctantly agreed. The Herbst appliance broke 6 times in the time he had it on. The last time I took it out myself after it broke on Sunday. We told him maybe this is not for him and maybe try another treatment. He says NO! He has a 100 percent success rate with this and NEVER had these problems. He interrogates my son and blames him. Joe was very disrespectful to my wife, and he kept telling me there was no solution and he could do nothing. We wanted to leave amicably and had many conversations about reimbursement and refunds. He told my wife she would get a full refund. I spoke to him personally and he stated he would give us a prorated refund. He then had someone call us back and told us he would give our insurance a full refund and us no reimbursement. I was fine with that and we set up a meeting for Friday to close out our account which was paid in full from our insurance and out of pocket. Then we had a meeting to go over everything so they could close the account. They took pictures and gave us a signed letter stating they would reimburse our insurance the full amount and give us a check Number on Monday because the finance girls child was sick and she had left for the day. In good faith we signed all the papers and left feeling we have parted peacefully and fairly. We are still going to have to pay out of pocket at the next orthodontist but we didn't mind as long as the insurance would cover what they cover. Monday comes and my wife calls 4 times for the check number. Not the actual check because it goes straight to our insurance, but the number so we can enter it into our paperwork. She gets the run around so I go to the Office. I was told to take a seat and wait and waited for 15 minutes without the receptionist even calling anyone or talking to anyone that I was there. I didn't take a seat and lingered at the desk. I see Joe come out to get a patient for treatment and inquire. Hey how are you doing? I'm just here for the check number for the reimbursement to my insurance. He says NO! I say ok after the patient. He says NO I'm not giving you one. This is how the guy works. He doesn't care about making good. He gets all the money, puts you on a payment plan, you pay then if it's not progressing and things aren't working out he does whatever he wants and leaves you in the wind. What kind of professional business goes back on their word and written statement and doesn't have the balls to call their patient and explain anything. This is such a spineless thing to do. Do not trust this establishment. His name is on the Door, stand by your word. Way to look out for your patient. Now I have to make my child wait even longer while we go to another office. He's just holding up my child's treatment. Its advertised as a family owned, second generation orthodontist, but with integrity like his be warned and watch out. Been going here for almost 10 years. It's just retainer checks now. I have not had a bad experience here. Everyone is friendly and Dr.Joe is the best. He even came in when my appliance broke on Memorial Day when the office was closed just to fix it for me. That's the type of person he is. As for the office it is super clean and very organized. The assistants also make sure you are comfortable and have the most positive attitudes. It is a great place for both adults and children, perfect for families. I do not reccomend this orthodontist because they only think about the money and are stricly a money making business. My daughter now has an overbite after the whole process, and even after using the most expensive retainers they offered. I spoke to Dr.Joe and he was very disrespectful, he kept telling me there was no solution and he could do nothing. He also walked away from me TWICE, while i was speaking to him. Worst customer Service every. Finance account department Donna has no manners on how to speak to her patients. She told me Pasquale Vitagliano doesn't own the business. Which is such a lie because practice is under his name. They only see you if your ready to put money upfront before the treatment. I was scheduled for appointment and before I could even be seen, she cancelled my apt.I thought this orthodontist place was great but they first showed that they would do my treatment but when they saw I wasn't happy with my smile and that I asked for a upper retainer and not a positioner. In my next visit that i went to them to get my retainer corrected because my upper teeth were not over lapping my bottom teeth properly and their was a gap between one of the side teeth bit, the doctor came into the room that I was in angry with a red face saying we won't give you another clear retrainer to fix the teeth and you will now be changed each visit and each fixing of the teeth. this is crazyness especially when I gave them cash and all for the treatment when I started with them and I was just a college student paying off through my part time job. A doctors concern should be making sure customer is happy with treatment not always money. Also the doctor never say to a patient that it's costing them money for the product and treatment. I didn't one time complain about the money but paid them on time and in cash. I deserve to get my treatment done especially since I paid for retainer not positioner and it's not my fault that positioner they gave me messed my teeth up. I thought this was a nice place but I was wrong. They just want you go get treatment and get your money and then leave, even if your not happy with smile as long as they got all the payments that all that matters, customer service is not a concern to the doctor. I complained about my bite and how my teeth looked with braces and no one listened and now that I have retainers and want them to fix my bite and my teeth from front they saying it's going to cost them money so I have to pay out of pocket. They told me they charged me for retainer for upper and lower and now they saying the amount I paid was for positioner and bottom retainer. When I went for the consultation and forked up the $4k plus I was treated like part of the family. The visits at the beginning were very friendly. I showed up was ushered in in a friendly professional manner and sent on my way very quickly. I had come in with a significant space between my 2 front teeth and had hoped to have consistent spacing throughout my mouth as we were nearing the end the tone changed at each of my visits with Dr Joe telling me he would try one last time. I was still not satisfied because all that had happened was one space was traded for another. I expressed my desire to finish what was started. The waits began to get longer, 45 minutes to an hour I would see people come in after me and go right in. I was always on time to the appointment. I asked for my history and it would say cancelled by patient when it was his office that would call and say he had to cancel because he was "teaching" that day. You would think he would know his teaching schedule when the appointment was made. So one time I asked because, he was the only practitioner in the office at the time, "Does this mean the office is closed that day?" And I was told yes. Of course I called and they were answering the phone. I did this after a couple cancellations. I finally asked why are you there if there are no appointments? Never got a good answer. After a few times of waiting in the waiting room for an hour while people kept going in ahead of me I finally gave up and the space remains.
