The food was absolutely delicious, filling, and didn't feel heavy at all considering the protein is fried. We got the classic chicken bucket and the fish bucket; both came with flavorful "fatty" rice (reminded me of chicken rice), mixed greens, and pickled greens. The portions are generous (~10ish pieces of protein per bucket) and everything was so tasty. What a great addition to Dekalb Market Hall! I've tried a few things here already and have loved everything! Both the Fish Bucket and Fried Fish Bun are delicious as the fish is perfectly fried. I wish the garlic chili sauce was spicier but it is still very tasty. The buns are slider size but have a good amount of meat, especially the Grilled Honey Pork. The pork is flavorful and very well marinated. The Fried Chicken bun is also really good - the chicken thigh is moist and the papaya salad adds a nice brightness to the sandwich. The portions could be bigger here though, particularly the bucket. The sliders aren't too small considering the filling is quite generous for the size of the bun (they should just get bigger buns). The decor is very cute and fun. It definitely stands out and they even have their own cute seating booth on the side. read more

The downsides was the garlic aioli didn't have much garlic flavor to it. Also the box that the buns are packed in are a bit of a pain in the butt to deal with. I was on the fence if I wanted to eat there but people around were raving about the food and it convinced me. I'm glad it did because it was the best sweet and savory pork I've ever had!
