They do a wine tasting and also offer wine flights of 3, 4, or 5 different wines. The traminette was sweet and refreshing and one of my favorites. I also tried the riesling which was not as sweet as some rieslings are but also not super tart. The sunrise blush was also nice. Finally, the berry and mango peach sangria were both delicious and perfect for a hot day. There are some limited food and snack options - there's a deli food truck out back. Most people brought their own snacks.

It was dark and winter but I'd imagine in the summer it's a beautiful view of the vineyard. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They offered samples before we picked wines to taste, offered to take photos of us. The workshop was fun and unique. The wines, delicious. Blueberry was a favorite. Parking lot is large, you get a discount if you pay with cash. Clean, and nicely decorated winery. They had a cute store with nice Christmas baskets and decor. They let us bring our own snacks, cheese tray and water bottles (I read in previous reviews they weren't allowed outside drinks but no one said anything about our water bottles). They had live music (it was a Friday night). Everything was a decent price, even the art night ($35 where other places charge $45 and up) I definitely recommend and I'll be back soon.

Their tasting room is beautiful but super cozy. I immediately felt relaxed the second I walked in. The winery is surrounded by forest and farmland. A picturesque landscape to admire while you drink wine! We sampled a bunch of their wines, and I finally tried their famous Shamong Blush and I get the hype now. It was smooth, sweet and went down easily. I really also enjoyed the Shamong Red and the Perfect Pear! Highly recommend doing a flight to sample different types of wines. They do have food onsite which they get from Summit Catering -- at the time of our visit (February 2025), we got the flatbread, cheeseboard, mac & cheese bites, and baked brie. Everything paired so well with the wine and just made it feel like a whole experience, not just a tasting. This is such a good spot to spend the day with your people. Date night, girls' day, family time -- you could easily hang here for hours like we did! And their event space is so pretty. If you're planning a wedding, shower, birthday -- this would be such a dreamy place to celebrate. If you need weekend plans, this is your sign. This was totally worth the hour drive!

The place was nicely decorated for Christmas and there was a Santa near the entrance as well. A holiday market was happening as well which was a nice activity after eating and drinking! There was a calendar of events near the front. The wine selection was decent and they had some great holiday specials. I got the mulled wine and it was well seasoned and at the perfect temperature. My fiance got the holiday wine flight and they were all so unique. My favorite was the plum wine.

We had a tasting and then ordered 2 bottles of wine and some food. Service was great and the empanadas were delicious. I wish the meatballs had more salt and seasonings. We appreciate the invitation from Karin, the Marketing Director, to explore and admire the space, indulge in wine and food, and enjoy live entertainment at this peaceful place. Views of the vineyard and Sourland Mountains are stunning and I couldn't stop gazing at all the beauty. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed in the outdoor spaces which includes a seasonal tented area, the cabanas along the building, and they can walk around the property. The vineyard tent provides great shade from the sun and weather conditions and is an expansive space with lots of tables and waiter service. Come hungry and thirsty because the menu has so much to offer including Spanish-inspired tapas and entrees. We cleaned off our plates like Brie cleans off her bowl showing how much we enjoyed the pan con tomate, potato leek soup, and patatas bravas. Options include ordering items individually or opt for a wine & food pairing. On Saturdays and Sundays between 11:30am-2:30pm, brunch is also served with some nice specials and offerings. The wine selection is extensive too and we highly recommend a wine tasting flight to sample six varieties and I really enjoyed the reds, with Darryl Mack Cellars Red being my favorite. In addition to tastings, you can order a glass, or a bottle to enjoy with your meal. Live music and other events round out a wonderful experience and makes for a nice day out! We chatted with the manager, Omar, who is very friendly and attentive and was intrigued by Brie's doggy dance to get attention. This place is popular and reservations are recommended as seating cannot be guaranteed for walk-ins. Easily book your visit on their website and check out all that Old York Cellars has to offer. Nearby is the dog friendly attraction, Black River & Western Railroad, with train rides through Ringoes and Flemington.
