This company is not dependable and the quality of their build is borderline unsafe. The apartment community in Missouri that this company owns has been under construction for massive repairs due to moisture issues, incorrect installation or missing installation of hvac duct work, and poor materials among other problems. The neighborhood looks like a war zone and the subcintractors have told residents there are also serious wiring issues. Months ago all lifts and crew were removed and progress stopped mid project because their checks were bouncing. The property has been left, half-finished and the residents are just stuck because they are not being allowed out of their leases. If anyone has a reason for a class-action lawsuit, those Missouri renters do! read more

They deserve no stars! run away from this home builder! they do not fix anything under warranty! Instead I am told I have to pay out of pocket, what the hell?!! We have been in the new house for two weeks and the ac unit doesn't work... it's 105 degrees outside!! This company is a freaking joke!! I was told I could move-in at 9am, so I arrived at 10am. I was made to sign paperwork before seeing the apartment, which I did and signed lease & paid rent and deposits, then was shown the apartment. Nails were in the walls, the apartment was not painted (was told it would be fully freshly painted the day before), scrapes, dings, smells, etc. For what's billed as a "Premier Community" the apartment I was to move into was far from it. I was then told to come back at 3pm and everything would be move-in ready. I called to verify it would be ready, spoke with Jordan, who assured me the apartment would be move-in ready and that I could put my finger on the wall because the paint would be dry. I walked in about 5 minutes to 3pm, and there were 6 people in the apartment, walls wet with paint (wasn't even close to fully painted as there were rollers in painters hands), in short, it was disappointing. Craig Ladines (property manager) was in the apartment and agreed during our conversation outside it wasn't "move-in ready" nor would it be that day. He agreed that I should not pay for that day of rent, Bach Homes should pay for the extra days rent at my prior residence, Bach Homes should pay for movers, and Bach Homes should extend the curtesy of half months' rent. He agreed to this while a neighbor was smoking pot in the hall one door down. All this while many maintenance staff were trying to fix what should have been done days before. Jordan wasn't helpful (leasing agent), as many social media posts indicate, Craig Ladines ended up not being helpful, as also many social media posts indicate, and Shannon Ragsdale was terrible to deal with, as she blatantly said the apartment was move-in ready at 3:20pm and that the walls were dry and staff was gone. I have pictures and video that clearly show otherwise. In short, it was a nightmare. Friends and family were to help move that day, as I took off work as well. All for not, as I had to have movers get everything done the following day while I was at work. To this, Shannon Ragsdale decided my requests were not appropriate, and that she, backed by Bach Homes, wouldn't agree to appropriate customer service etiquette. For this reason, I post this review, and hope that it dissuades you from staying at any Bach Homes property, and gives you great pause when renting an apartment. Be diligent, read the fine print, read social media, and PLEASE stand up for yourself when wronged! If you do not, companies like Bach Homes will continue to treat people poorly, and they should and MUST be held accountable. I believe in fair criticism, honest reviews, and factual accounts. Read through the "fluff" and condescension of Bach Homes attempts at acting concerned, they are likely only concerned with their bottom line, and not your situation. Kelly Watson, in house counsel for Bach Homes and all associated with this company really don't have the customer in mind. My experience is similar and moving out became a living nightmare at a Bach Homes property in Kansas City, MO. I was locked out several days early from my premises and items stolen never to be recovered. Management felt they could get away with this because we don't stay at the property on a regular basis but of course pay our rent, utilities and fees on time. Just canceled our purchase with Bach homes. We are loosing our $1,000 earnest money check but it is worth it. By far the worst experience purchasing a new home I have ever had. This was going to be our 4th property working with a builder. During our final walk through, they tried talking us into ignoring major cosmetic issues with the house because it is "normal". Every other builder will bend over backwards to fix noticeable issues during a final walk through. Not only did they try to get us to disregard issues with the home, but they tried to get us to sign off on that day, that we would not get another walk through. Any other builder in the world will fix the issues you have pointed out then give you ANOTHER final walk through to approve of the fixes. It was very shady and pushy of them to try and get us to sign off on the repairs on our first walk through. Not only that, but there was a hole in the bath tub. We asked that the tub be replaced and they said no. They were only willing to patch the hole. Last but not least, the craftsmanship didn't seem like quality. There were noticeable noises coming from the pipes in the walls every time we turned on a faucet. Again, this was being passed off by the builder as "normal" even though the other 3 homes we own don't do that. Overall we felt like we were being taken advantage of and felt we could get much better customer service from another builder.
