The first three lessons were great with our instructor RoseAngel. With RoseAngel we had planned the fourth lesson to be mini-choreography for a song we were bringing. When we arrived for our fourth prepaid private lesson, Samantha stopped us at the door. She said they were going to switch it up today with a couple's workshop so that we can dance with other partners. When we said we were not interested, she said we will be charged anyway since they cannot guarantee private lessons, and they can only guarantee the time of the lesson. The whole point of this experience was to spend quality time with my wife. Instead without any notice in advance we were forced into an ultimatum to dance with others or lose our payment.

A wide selection of classes are offered, Tango, Cha-Cha, Swing, Samba, Waltz, Hustle, Foxtrot etc. They offer monthly dance celebrations that are well attended and other special dances where you can practice your new found dance skills. One of the techniques they use to teach is a graduation dance at the end of the 8 weeks. This is a really helpful and excellent teaching tool! Every week, the instructor introduces a new step and by the end of 8 weeks each student has mastered all the 8 steps. Now all you have to do is roll those steps out on a real dance floor. That happens when the class attends the Graduation Dance! Everyone dances the learned routine in front of a live audience and a graduation diploma is provided. This is when it all gets real! There is a mix of singles, couples and various age groups, every class is different. Some people are looking for a dance partner, others love, or to enrich an existing relationship and have some fun by meeting new friends. The best part of Nannette's classes is all the fun you'll have and the fabulous students you'll meet. I've met some wonderful people and many have become great dance friends! Ballroom dancers know how to have a fun time! They even have experienced students fill in a class if there is an uneven mix of men vs women. I have found the assistants to be very helpful and patient. You rotate dance partners so you get to experience dancing with multiple partners. Believe me this is the way to go! You learn faster by dancing with a variety of partners. Besides, you can practice dancing with your partner at home. Dancing with others keeps you from killing your spouse. Lol. At the beginning of each 8 week class they provide a syllabus of what will be taught and a video of the dance steps in available on line. Learning to ballroom dance is not easy but like most things that are worthwhile, it takes good instruction and lots of hard work and practice. Nannette obviously teaches many classes. She also has very capable dance instructors, Dale, Cathy and Jeannie who have been dancing and teaching for years. All are fabulous instructors and so is Nanette. One of the wonderful surprises I've experienced is something I never expected. Now, when my wife and I go to a wedding or out social dancing, people actually stop and watch us roll out our dance moves. Many, ask us where we learned to dance and compliment us on our smooth moves. Nice. All that said, if you want to learn Ballroom Dancing in "O Town" this is the place to go!

They try very hard to show a positive and supportive image, but what I saw behind the scenes felt very different. Some staff and teachers act like they are very important people, almost like they copy the behavior from the show Dance Moms, but without the real skill. The disrespectful way they talked to and about kids and parents, and how little they seemed to care about the children's growth and well‑being, was very noticeable. One day when I walked into the studio, I even heard a staff member call the owner "the queen," and I saw how the others looked afraid to speak around her. It gave the whole place a strange and tense feeling, and I can imagine the kids also hear this kind of thing. The school offers many different classes, and at first I was excited to try them. But very quickly I saw that the teaching skills in all areas were not strong, and the teachers did not show much patience. It seemed like they wanted to blame the children. In some classes, the teachers were sitting on the floor yelling instructions or scrolling on their phone instead of helping the girls or teaching them calmly with proper technique. The costs also become high very fast. Tuition is expensive, and then there are extra fees for almost everything. They don't even provide a small snack for the children during several hours long events and recitals. The environment did not feel right or helpful for my girls. I strongly suggest looking at other dance schools and avoiding this one.

If this doesn't speak volumes , what does? The staff loves my kids like their own. They are kind, patient and loving. We have so much fun, every day is a new adventure. Wow! What's cool urban dance studio tucked away in a simple industrial type building. Had a great…read morebeginner level hip-hop class here taught by a patient and super creative instructor. I booked and paid for the class online before attending the studio to secure my spot. This made it easier for me to come a little closer to class start time. When I got there I just gave the front desk my name and they found me in their roster. Showed up in athletic type attire and sneakers and learned a few new dance routines. Came out of this class happy, motivated, more limber, and feeling accomplished for learning some new moves. Did I say happy? Yes, just felt good all over from working hard, having fun, and getting my heart rate up. Parking is a little crowded here, but worth it for a workout or to learn some new moves. I visited in February…read more2020 and it was $7 for my son to play in the gym for two hours, which I thought was reasonable. Check in was easy and they opened the gym for us right at 10am. I liked that there was a lot of room for kids to run around and there were two big bounce houses. There were also hula hoops and an obstacle course with foam blocks. There was a long trampoline that my son enjoyed running on. They played incredibly loud pop music but it set a fun mood. The staff inside were friendly and engaged with the kids. Because it was hot inside the gym during the time of our visit, we only stayed about an hour. They have a few other options for play for older kids listed on their website and social media page. The weekday toddler playtime was a fun indoor activity that's reasonably priced! As of mid March, they are temporarily closed, but hopefully they will be open again soon!
