Had a pleasant in-store visit, but that was the end of it. I inquired for a custom wedding ring with Gavan, exchanged information, and never heard back. I sent 2 emails - no response After a few weeks, I finally called the store. I needed an update on this ring as we were looking to purchase soon. I was told both their jewelers were hospitalized so Gavan didn't want to give me a "non update", and that it would be an indefinite amount of time before they could give me more info. If you can't make the ring or can't be bothered to sell to a serious customer, just say it and don't waste my time. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and lacking of proper customer service. I called the Fort Worth Bachendorf's and was told the situation I just explained regarding Gavan was absolutely ridiculous. They solidified that the reasons he gave were not appropriate and that they would be happy to help me. It's been a few months and I still never heard back from Gavan even though I requested updates/an email/ring information during our last call and was told it would happen. I've wasted precious months on something I need for my wedding coming up very soon now. Overall this entire situation is pitiful from a jeweler with an otherwise positive reputation. Made to feel like second class citizen!! Why is this connected to another store if you can not walk in? I was just causally walking through a jewelry store then into this one and an officer told me that I needed to go around and come through the mall entrance. AVOID! Go somewhere that care about you and non-judgmental. My friend went here to get his watch repaired. He showed up and was waiting patiently for 30 min hoping someone would come help him. However, he was ignored the whole time. The staff there saw him and ignored and proceeded to go help other guests who showed up AFTER, instead just because they dressed nicer. I've been wearing a Seiko Pikachu watch for several years now and decided I should finally get something more professional. I also wanted something nice that I could give to my kids someday. I had never been to a watch store before my visit to Bachendorf. I was somewhat intimidated since these aren't the stores I typically shop at. When I first walked in, I was greeted by Arnaud who was very welcoming. He showed me the watch that I was interested in, explained to me the history of the brand, and answered all the questions I had. Since there was no available stock, Arnaud took down my information and said he would reach out when they get something in. Not too long after that first visit, Arnaud reached out and said to stop by. I was very excited to hear back about the watch I wanted. Arnaud was very meticulous and patient as he prepared the watch for me. I didn't realize how many things had to be done, such as removing tiny stickers, registering the watch, resizing the band, and teaching me how to use it properly. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE by STEVE SIXTA and store I have been speaking to Steve Sixta on purchasing a Rolex watch since early 2019. He has been OK in person but a poor communicator by email. Today, I sent him an email expressing my continued interest after over 2 years. I did not want to take up his time and thought he would prefer email rather than chatting in person or by phone. I know Rolex watches are increasingly tough to get at the moment, but I have been patient for over 2 years and have initiated communication with Steve while he has largely ignored me. Here was his curt response: "All watches tough THX" I appreciated the response, but this isn't great customer service and didn't answer any of the questions I had for him. It doesn't take someone working in the watch and jewelry industry to know "All watches tough" - this is an example of horrible customer service by this person and the store. These are not cheap watches, and I expected more from Steve and Bachendorf's. If you're looking for friendly, relationship-driven customer service from a jewelry store then take your business elsewhere. read more

As soon as I got engaged I instantly knew I wanted a piece of my wedding jewelry to be from Bachendorf's. I grew up in Dallas, Texas the Bocks became good friends of mine when I was younger and I used to babysit Fallon with my sister. When it was time to start looking for my wedding band I reached out to Fallon Bock to see if Bachendorf's would be able to custom create a diamond wedding band. Fallon said absolutely! I no longer live in Dallas and moved to Atlanta, so I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't be able to have something created but Fallon assured me that they create and ship fine jewelry all over the United States for their clients. She asked me detailed questions of what I was looking for and even asked for my engagement ring diamond GIA information so she could match the diamonds in my wedding band to fit perfectly with my engagement ring which so important to me! Fallon was incredibly responsive to texts and walked me through the entire process with ease and grace. From initial concept phase, to design, and then execution of my wedding band - the customer service of Bachendorf's was phenomenal. I will definitely be working with Fallon and the Bachendorf's team for all jewelry needs. I can definitely see us creating an anniversary band for future anniversaries to match my wedding band that was created. I have never been more disappointed with a customer experience in my life. It has now been over a year since I went into the Bachendorf's in Preston Center (August 2021), and I have not heard a word from them about my order. I went in with a friend on a Saturday to pick up a Batman that arrived for him, and I was hoping to purchase a Presidential Day-Date with the ice blue dial. I understand supply chain issues, allocations, and needing to build a relationship with the AD, so I asked what it would take to attain the watch I wanted. At the time, they only had two watches in the store in their display case of over 400 Rolex slots for watches, which I only know because the salesperson made a point to tell me. After asking what it would take, he conveniently told me to buy one of the two watches in the case and that I could wear it until my Presidential Day-Date came in, which he believed would take nine months. He told me he would then purchase back the Datejust and sell me the Day-Date. Having just done a similar deal on a Bentley I wanted, I thought it was my lucky day. At least Bentley held true to their word. I still have the Datejust I purchased, and what's worse is that I have not received a single call from the store. I have never resold any watches I own, so now I am stuck with a watch I didn't even want without any sign of being able to buy the one I did. I am truly disappointed. read more

Every time I have an opportunity to walk into an authorized dealer I do so and most of my experiences are great - we talk watches, exchange opinions and learn a thing or two about the brand and their watches. Bachendorf's has been the worst experience, I almost got kicked out of the store by some raggedy looking sales dude who could not be bothered to spend any time with me. Mind you, the store was empty, not another customer in sight. Save yourself the time and aggravation and go to Eiseman or Govindji's - they both have better stock and also reps who care about the brand and will spend time with customers. We came in here the other night to look at engagement rings and settings; they had a fairly dismal selection, mostly solitares or solitares with pave bands. They do have some halos also. They do stock Tacori, which is a pretty popular engagement ring designer these days. The saleslady was polite enough I suppose, but wasn't helpful in finding other rings for me to try on and I think she also looked a bit down on us because we weren't dressed to the nines. She did tell us what the prices were for each of the rings we liked right off the bat, which was refreshing compared to our experiences elsewhere. One thing to note is that they have their own inventory stock information and if you ask them to write down the style numbers for you, you won't be able to find the ring later on the designer's website using the style numbers. We left somewhat disappointed with our experience, as Bachendorf's does advertise itself as being the premiere luxury jeweler in Dallas. read more

Aside from the price, Rolex are difficult to attain due to restricted supply by the brand that is working on continuing to move its product line up market. Not a lot of people know that these Authorized Dealers don't have full control of what stock they receive from the brand so it's not always easy to get the exact item you may want. That being said if your patient, treat the situation with dignity, and are serious about making the purchase should the model come available, then they may be able to help you get that item sooner than you expect. Lalit was a wonderful salesman who helped me to achieve a dream of mine recently. I'll never forget the experience and I appreciate his help as well as the help of everyone at the Bachendorf's in The Galleria. This store is a Dallas institution for a reason. They have a great selection of Chopard watches, which are notoriously hard to find in-stock. I live in Beverly Hills, and Bachendorfs' selection is better than any store I've seen in the LA area. Collette was very knowledgeable about the product & a delight to shop with. Ring experience was unique as I didn't know anything about the location and I walked to the second floor to see an armed guard and people behind bulletproof glass. I was buzzed in and everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed the selection and was able to find a wedding band for my now husband. I did have an issue with the ring not being engraved as I requested and then when I picked it up the week of the wedding, it was engraved incorrectly. I had just come from the gym (not looking my best), there were three employees behind the counters, and ZERO other customers. They glanced at me as I walked in, and continued to talk amongst themselves. When I approached them they finally asked if there was something they could help me with. I described what it was that I was looking for, and one of the women talked to me like I was a 4 year old child, as if I didn't understand what she was saying. They are supposed to call me with further information to help me find what I'm looking for, but honestly even IF I do get a call back and they are able to help, I won't be doing any business with them.
