We stumbled upon the truck on the way to the car after a show at the Grammy Theater. While it wasn't cheap eats, our plates were $25 each, the portion is large and the quality high. We had leftovers for the next day. They make the food to order so there's a bit of a wait. You can order online though. One of us got the filet mignon plate and the other shrimp plate. The fried rice is rather moist with the oil but it is not unpleasant and the seasoning is high but tasty. The protein was perfectly cooked and they add veggies. Overall very good eats. Once I got there I seen the staff on their personal phone and when I mentioned that I've been calling all I got was a nonchalant "I'm sorry about that." Also, I'm not sure if they just didn't have physical change on hand but my change was supposed to be $23.70 but the worker only gave me $23. The steak had no flavor, super chewy, rice was over salted and oily, chicken was super dry and we could barely eat it because of how dry it was. One of my cousins rice plate was burnt, and it was so bad overall. This is my first review back in LA after living in Phoenix 2 years. I found this truck in a paid parking lot on Olympic downtown LA. Frank, the manager was super friendly and helpful. He made me a Hibachi bowl with steak and shrimp and it was the most meat I've seen in an Asian bowl from a truck. The rice was also great with 3 seasonings and I also had the garlic. I went over the weekend to try the food at the LA location. It was terrible, the service was awful, and on top of that, the chef, whose name I heard is Jimmy, had horrible food. The rice was cold and greasy, the protein was dry, and I have heard from other employees that they drink while making the food. Not to mention the fact that I found a black short hair in my rice, and when I brought it to their attention i was denied a refund and forced to just throw my food away and leave. I even called to sort out the issue and get my money back, but no one picked up the phone. Beyond gross, and I would never waste my time here again, so don't waste yours. read more

Use to love this truck. It was pouring rain yesterday and the truck is located in the heart of DTLA inside a parking lot. The parking lot cost $20 to park at. I told the employee I was just trying to pickup food and was not leaving the car. He told me to park on the side. It's pouring rain and I have a big order so I go to order online while parked in the spot. The parking employee had the audacity to to ask the truck owner if I had placed an order. Buddy taking his job way too seriously comes furiously banging on my window saying there's no pickup order and to leave. I try to explain to him 5 times showing him the menu I'm ordering off online. Dude keeps hassling me every 30 seconds pouncing my window telling me to leave. I stoped here for the first time last night. I'm not impressed. First of all they need to decide if they are called Beni Yaki or Bachi Yaki. The logos on the food truck say Beni Yaki, but their website and social media are Bechi Yaki. I asked about the free drink with check in on Yelp and the girl had no idea what I was talking about. So they need better communication with their boss or remove the offer. I got the Chicken burrito it was good size and tasted very good, however it's overpriced. I also tried two of their "sauces", not impressed it's just Mayo with a bit of flavor. The workers were polite and attentive, they did a great job other then not knowing about the YELP check in.
