The steak had no flavor, super chewy, rice was over salted and oily, chicken was super dry and we could barely eat it because of how dry it was. I went over the weekend to try the food at the LA location. It was terrible, the service was awful, and on top of that, the chef, whose name I heard is Jimmy, had horrible food. The rice was cold and greasy, the protein was dry, and I have heard from other employees that they drink while making the food. Not to mention the fact that I found a black short hair in my rice, and when I brought it to their attention i was denied a refund and forced to just throw my food away and leave. This is my first review back in LA after living in Phoenix 2 years. I found this truck in a paid parking lot on Olympic downtown LA. Frank, the manager was super friendly and helpful. He made me a Hibachi bowl with steak and shrimp and it was the most meat I've seen in an Asian bowl from a truck. The rice was also great with 3 seasonings and I also had the garlic. I contacted them view email and social media to see if we could get a partial refund or some kind of compensation and still no updates in that. I stoped here for the first time last night. I'm not impressed. First of all they need to decide if they are called Beni Yaki or Bachi Yaki. The logos on the food truck say Beni Yaki, but their website and social media are Bechi Yaki. I asked about the free drink with check in on Yelp and the girl had no idea what I was talking about. So they need better communication with their boss or remove the offer. I got the Chicken burrito it was good size and tasted very good, however it's overpriced. I also tried two of their "sauces", not impressed it's just Mayo with a bit of flavor. The workers were polite and attentive, they did a great job other then not knowing about the YELP check in.
