El Gato Night Market is packed with amazing food, drinks, and adorable vendors, but Ariana's always steals the show for me. The staff are super sweet, quick, and you can taste the love in every bite. The crepe is warm and perfectly balanced -- the rich chocolate and pistachio cream blend together perfectly with that crunchy kataifi, while the strawberries add a fresh, juicy touch. They're only open Thursday through Sunday, which makes the wait feel like part of the ritual -- and totally worth it every single time. If you're headed to El Gato, do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by Ariana's Crepes!

I delayed writing this review to really think through, and now I will confidently say--these are…read moreeasily the best tacos I've ever had. Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

My friend said, this place had bomb tacos and tacos are my favorite especially when coming to LA,…read morehowever this place fell short on my expectations. The tostada was very hard and chewy thought I was going to brake a tooth. Asada meat and guacamole on the tostada had no salt. The only thing I was able to taste was the spicy salsa, which it's extremely spicy. My chorizo taco cold and the mulita was okay. Tortillas hand made which that's a plus Agua fresca de pineapple tasted water down too much just tasted the water with hint of pineapple. If you new to this place just know that you can ask for frijoles de la olla on the side they are free. I did like that they had grill onions and it's self serve. Street parking available, but know area not the best to be in. Tables have about 3 incase you planning eat there, & if super hungry know you will be waiting for a long time. It's really cool know it's a tire shop during the day and a taco shop in evenings. This place is very laid back attired unfortunately no music playing.

I've walked by this place a lot when I go on my new 5 mile walk around the neighborhood. And…read moresometimes, there is a huge line out here. The food absolutely smells amazing each time you walk by too, but it's not like I can just stop and eat here because that means that five mile walk I did was for nothing. But today... Today was the day to make my five mile walk for nothing!!! I decided to order a carne asada taco. It was $3. I wanted to try it because just looking at the meat each time, it looked amazing. Then they made it. And when they stacked on all the meat on top of the tortilla, it barely even all fit on there. But what do you do when you can't fit anything on top? The answer is simple. You get all the toppings you can like salsa and cilantro and so forth and stick it on top! I took a nibble of the meat before biting into the taco and I was like, you know what, this is it. This is what you want in a taco. This is high quality meat. Then when you blend all the ingredients together, you have everything you want. The service is solid. The ambiance is outdoors. If you make it here, get something here because it's pretty amazing.

Their fries even come out hot and fresh from an on-site fryer. My go-to is their super tender, fatty suadero! Crowd-favorite seems to be the al pastor - it's roasted with pineapple, bringing that yummy sweet-savory balance. The workers are generous with portions, loading up tacos, burritos, and nachos like they're feeding close friends, all at a price that feels like a steal. There's plenty of unlimited grilled jalapenos and onions, salsas, and more to go around! I love that the workers give the burrito to us open faced so we can pile on condiments to our heart's content before they roll it all up neatly. We were so impressed that we fully abandoned our taco crawl plans and came back for seconds. Note: This spot is located in a high traffic area of LA. A parking lot sits conveniently right behind the stand, so you won't have to struggle for parking. Highly recommend swinging by for amazing late night munchies! No frills here, just quick eats that hit the spot every time.

KTown Night Market is the first night market I have been to in a while, and It did NOT disappoint…read more And after reading the older Yelp reviews for this event (done pre-pandemic), I thought it time to update! Located at RFK High School in Koreatown LA, this location was central and provided lots of space for food stands, food trucks, games, merch stands, drink stands, music stage, you name it. They even had a (huge) sneaker expo stand! I did not see any performers on the music stage, but they posted some content online and it looks like they killed it! Minzy from 2NE1 headlined the first night. I did not have a chance to see everything as I was with a group of people (takes longer to do virtually everything), but there was so much to see! The food I did try: Xing Fu Tang strawberry boba, yakitori yado mochi chicken skewer, kimchi rice ball, pork belly rice ball, thai basil chicken. Everything was good. It was busy! Get there early as by 7:30pm or so it was wall to wall people (some wearing masks, some not as they were recommended only). Had a great time - they have rebooted this event so well!

They have lots of food vendors, not all the same as the typical 626 night market vendors tho. Venue is placed inside a highschool. The vendors are on race track, basketball courts, and good ol' lawn. This year (first opening after pandemic) they have less vendors than before. But place is jammed packed the later it gets. They have big seating area and nice spots in corners for you to sit on the floor tho. Ticket is $10 (plus service fee if you buy online). Parking structure is $18. You will have to walk, since it's in the middle of city.
