If I'm being honest, the only thing I consistently order from Teriyaki Madness isn't even a teriyaki dish. I'm absolutely hooked on their crab rangoons! I order them through DoorDash pretty often because they're just that good. I have tried their beef teriyaki bowl a few times, swapping the white rice for fried rice, and while it was definitely decent, it just wasn't a standout for me. That said, they're a quick, convenient option whenever I need an easy lunch. A few weeks ago, my mom and I stopped by to place a to-go order in person. It did take a little longer than expected, but at least we knew everything was being made fresh and came out nice and hot. The only hiccup was that after leaving, I realized they had accidentally given me fried dumplings instead of my beloved crab rangoons. I went back, and the staff couldn't have handled it better. Everyone was incredibly polite, immediately corrected the mistake, and even tossed in a few extra rangoons as an apology. That level of customer service really turned the experience around for me. I also tried the new chili crisp edamame, and it was delicious! I'm not sure if it's a limited-time menu item, but if you see it on the menu, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. The restaurant itself has always been clean, spacious, and well-maintained whenever I've visited. I was originally leaning toward a 3-star review because of the mix-up, but their excellent customer service and willingness to make things right earned them an extra star. I enjoyed my spicy chicken bowl. I was actually very shocked at how spicy it was going to be...Delicious! I ordered the combo so I got a drink and had the option of choosing edamame, a cookie or rice crispy treat. I chose the rice crispy treat and it was very good ! Service was nice my sister and I had a nice interaction with the cashier after he had endured a very nasty and rude customer in front of us. The establishment was clean but a lil chilly for my preference. We got our meals to go so we weren't there too long. More like 3.5 but I'll round up. A good spot to get a teriyaki bowl. Inside is simple and pretty spacious with a decent amount of seating. The teriyaki bowl is pretty good and decently filling. The egg roll was just ok, you can probably skip it. They also have katsu, beef, and salmon. If you work in downtown it's probably better to order ahead online to avoid the lunch rush. Service was ok. I have never left a negative review before, but this is my first. The owner is an absolute moron. My coworker and I placed orders online. I offered to pick something up for another coworker and placed the order in store. When I placed the order I told the owner that I had two orders and provided both names. He didn't think it was important to check that they were both in the hot box they store completed orders. When the last order was completed he tells me one of the orders that was placed online was never processed. I show him the credit card transaction and tell him what the order was. He then tries to ring me up for another order at which point I explain I've already paid and I'm not paying again. He didn't try to offer any type of resolution even though I had showed proof of payment. The food is fine, a little overpriced, but I'll never go back here again because of the lack of intellectual capacity that directly translated into terrible customer service. I don't normally write bad reviews but this place was a real letdown. I went on a Sunday around 7p. There was no one at the counter when I ordered initially but it looked like they were all in the kitchen working. No knock on that. I ordered a reg salmon bowl, reg orange chicken bowl, pot stickers, crab rangoons, and edamame. The host said it would be awhile as they had other orders but no time given. I'm guessing it was online orders bc it was empty. Waited about 25 minutes which seemed excessive. The sides were decent so kudos to that. The bowls were the biggest issue for me. The salmon was maybe a 4oz tops and came with about 3 cups of rice. Plus the salmon tasted like chicken. The orange chicken was maybe a half a cup of chicken to the same 3 cups of rice. Ratio was really off and didn't feel it was worth. I feel like Panda across the street wouldn't been a better taste/value. Unfortunately won't be coming back again. Wouldn't recommend. read more
