Booked a reservation on a whim on a Friday afternoon and there was plenty of availability. From the moment you walk in, you get a sense of the upscale and boujee dining experience that everybody raves about. You're greeted by friendly staff and a glass of bubbles, how much more welcoming can it get? The lighting is perfect to set the mood, they have chill music playing, and they have plants and nice artwork scattered about. Quickly wanted to shoutout Dustin for the amazing service throughout my visit here. I ordered the Cajun Blackened Chicken and it was one of the most incredible dishes I've ever had!! Every aspect of the dish was executed to absolute perfection; it was just a marriage of flavor and texture in perfect harmony walking down the aisle of my tastebuds. The chicken was prepared flawlessly: perfectly charred, juicy inside, and unbelievably flavorful. The bacon potato salad and creamy coleslaw compliment the chicken very well. Nothing was overly sauced and everything was cooked just right. The presentation is gorgeous as well which always a plus before you devour it. They serve a delicious creme brulee cheesecake with a mildly tangy and sweet raspberry sauce for birthdays, which is much appreciated. Also a perfect way to end such a delicious meal and fun experience. This is the first Joey that I've been to, and now I want to try them all! Could not recommend this place enough!!!

This was a great first meal in LA while on vacation! Betsy was amazing, clean, clear communication, fun, and helpful! + GREAT drinks! We loved the low alcohol coconut smash! + customer service from all the waiters and waitresses (just want to be specific that the hostesses were kind of chit-chatty, and not to customers lol they were talking to each other and when my table was ready they called me Alan? Lol) + good ambiance, music, vibes + high quality food + I appreciated that all servers help out as needed instead of the traditional 1 server to 1 table. - very pricy. My lobster spaghetti was 90% spaghetti 5% tomatoes 3% lobster and 2% shrimp lol - hostesses as mentioned above

Lunch with my husband and sister for her birthday ! Joeys is mos definitely a staple in our family now a days . We enjoy a great happy hour ! The glass of bubbly you get when entering and waiting for your table is always a plus ; the slushy machine is currently down which sucked majorly because I love that little lime icee on my jack and coke !

Quick sit-down work lunch vibes in DTLA. Went for a work lunch with a large group. No rsvp, but they were able to sit about 13 of us together in the patio. Orders taken pretty quickly and got our food. Got a burger with fries - was in the $20s. Prices are a bit steep but the ambiance and service probably attributed to it. Would I come back? Maybe - I do enjoy their happy hour food and drinks (particularly the martinis).

Me and my sis visited this location after an event at the California African American Museum on a Saturday night...parking was tricky but we found the garage. When I walked up there was security outside and they said they weren't taking any more walk ups. I convinced him to let me in to speak to the hostess to if they could seat us since we were starving and it was already late. It was pretty chaotic inside...there were lots of people waiting for tables and working near the front but they seemed overwhelmed. The hostess was really nice, she mentioned someone quit earlier but she put our names on the list and she said it would be an hour but we could try to get seats at the bar. A nice touch was that they give you a splash of sparkling wine to sip while you wait. Once my sis got there we decided to try the bar...we found 2 seats but waited for 20 min. for our orders to be taken and no luck so we decided to just go back to the front and wait for our table. We waited another 20 min.and they were able to seat us. We discovered that their system was down and they had to write every order down by hand...so the kitchen was extremely backed up. Our server was very nice and apologized for the wait and he gave some really great recommendations. We shared a house salad and I ordered the steak with potatoes and broccolini. It was just ok....the steak was a little overcooked and the potatoes were like fancy potato wedges with bacon and sour cream. They had to hand write receipts since their system was down...I was a little concerned since I was paying with a corporate card but it worked out. I get the concept of the restaurant, it's super vibey but we went on a really off night. We forgot to get our ticket validated but shoutout to the security who was able to go back inside (they were closing) and get the ticket validated for us. It was a rough experience but I think I am willing to try another location.

    Sirloin & Ravioli Bianco

I'm sorry to write this, but this did not live up to the reputation at all. I've been to so many better restaurants in LA. I worked 1 block from Joey's for a year, so I was excited to try it. I got the sirloin and ravioli bianco, and it was honestly pretty flavorless except for a sour aftertaste. The steak was just ok but the cook on my steak was uneven, I ordered medium rare but at first I thought I got my friend's dish (she ordered the same thing but medium well). The bite on the ravioli pasta itself was rubbery. And the shrimp were overcooked. I'm really confused why the ratings are so high. It wasn't particularly busy. There were less than 10 other tables with people since we came mid-afternoon. But it took 40 minutes to get our truffle fries. People talk about free champagne when you get there, but we didn't get that. Our waitress was super friendly, I really liked her so much. But she was the highlight of the entire meal.

Yesterday was my first time visiting this location and I had a great dining experience. It was a Saturday morning a little after 11am so there was no wait and our group was greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne. The hostess checked us in and she was really pleasant. Our group got seated right away. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice especially sitting at a booth near the window so of course I did a little people watching of all the folks walking outside in the streets of DTLA. Our server was TJ, he was absolutely AMAZING! I love his personality and the recommendations he made. He was very personable and made our dining experience enjoyable. Our group ordered the hamachi wings, truffle fries, steak with broccoli, shrimp ravioli, chicken tenders with fries, and fish tacos. Not one person complained about their food! Everything was delicious. I even put in another order of the shrimp ravioli to go (highly recommend). The drinks were also very good. The espresso martini was a hit with our group! Overall this location has a really good ambiance, very clean and friendly staff. I would definitely visit again if I am ever in the area.

We had dinner at Joey DTLA last Friday. The restaurant offers a wonderful ambiance with a very tasteful interior. We especially appreciated the complimentary champagne provided to all guests. The food was exceptional, and the attentive service truly enhanced our dining experience. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality made it worthwhile. I look forward to returning for another occasion.

On Friday evening, May 8th, we had a family dinner at Joey DTLA to celebrate my mom's birthday. I had Truffle Carbonara, which was interestingly made with udon noodles. It was written that way on the menu too. My brother had the Blackened Chicken, my mom had the Pressed Sushi, and my dad and my other brother had the Spaghetti Pomodoro, Chicken Spaghetti Parm, and garlic bread. When you first walk in, they offer complimentary champagne to all guests while they wait in the waiting area, which was a very nice touch. While we were enjoying our glasses of champagne, the host came over and showed us to our table. All of the food was delicious, and every staff member was incredibly friendly. Our waitress was especially kind and wonderful, which made the experience even better. After we finished our meal, we mentioned that it was my mom's birthday, and she brought out a mini cake with a candle. It was such a kind gesture, and we really appreciated the cake. Before making the reservation, I checked the Yelp rating, and since it was good, I felt comfortable booking it. Thankfully, the restaurant turned out to be just as good as the reviews said. I can see why this place has such good ratings. The service is very friendly, and all of the food was delicious.

It was my first time back at Joey's since last year, & it reminded me why I always recommend it whenever friends visit from out of town. Between the aesthetics, the service, & the overall vibe, it's definitely one of those must-visit spots that leaves a great impression. We came in without reservations, but they still greeted us with champagne, which immediately impressed my friends (and honestly made me look pretty cool lol). The food was good, not anything overly crazy... but the drinks were definitely a hit. Overall, it's a great place for the atmosphere & experience.

Love the steak ravioli, sushi cones, crème brûlée, and coconut smash. I freaking love this place, but was told the blender breaks often which cancels the peach bellini's. Please supply Joey's DTLA with multiple blenders to prevent this (p.s. didn't get to take pics of the ravioli, just know it was Devine)

I've been to JOEY a few times. I've come for happy hour and for brunch. The food and drinks are good. They have a good variety of food to choose from. They have sushi, sandwiches, burgers and pasta just to name some things they generally have. So everyone from our party was able to find something they would order. Since we had a bigger group and were planning to go for Mother's Day, we called ahead of time to make a reservation. The reservation was easy to make. Since we got there right when they opened we were one of first parties they sat. This location is very open. Our server was good. The food was also very good. Everyone enjoyed what they got. We got a few appetizers to share and ordered entrees. A few of us also ordered cocktails and they were all good. Everytime, I've come the food and service has been good. So I would definitely recommend.

As soon as you enter they offer a glass of sparkling wine. The ambiance is a nice combination of casual and upscale. They have the TVs like a sports bar but the lighting screams upscale. The food is definitely higher end. We had an appetizer of steak and ravioli, truffle fries and dumplings. My main dish was the herb crusted salmon. Everything was delicious.

Yelp came through again with the recommendations for this adorable little Italian restaurant about a mile away from the comedy club. We were charmed by the cozy industrial chic decor and chose to sit outside on the festive patio, which is shielded from the traffic on the street by plant boxes full of plants, large umbrellas, and market lights. Love that the table settings are mismatched in the most charming way. Our plates were so beautiful, and we had fun showing ours off to one another. The servers are wonderful and friendly. Our main server took care to ask us what time our comedy show was because she wanted to make sure to get our food out to us so that we wouldn't be late. I thought that was very considerate of her. We ordered the burrata, meatballs, and meat-lovers pizza to share. The burrata and pesto sauce tasted so fresh, and there was enough burrata to spread on top of our meatballs and pizza. The meatballs were very flavorful, and the meat-lovers pizza was quite tasty as well. It was actually the perfect girl dinner for three, and we were pretty stuffed afterwards. One of the regulars who come to this restaurant made sure to tell us how much she loved it here and told us to come back for brunch or lunch. Honestly, you know a place is good when the regulars take time out of their lives to speak to strangers about how much they love it. I was sad that it was too late to order the pistachio latte (I can't have caffeine after 4 PM) but I hope to be in the area early enough to try it for brunch soon!

In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Definitely cool to try but not my personal favorite. - Insalata mista (5/5): a delicious, large salad that was flavorful, refreshing, and just the perfect pairing for the other dishes we ordered. My gf and I both loved this and were so glad we ordered it! - Spicy salame calabrese tartufato pizza (4.5/5): The truffle honey in this was very light but we still loved the flavors in this pizza. Overall (5/5): My gf and I love coming for their happy hour. Vibes are nice, service is friendly, and food is great!

The hosts are v familiar with their wines and can give you recommendations on what to get. You can even have tasters so you're not stuck getting a pour of something you don't like.. it's a beautiful spot lots of dark wood. Would be a great date spot. Oh they have lots of cool things to nibble on definitely the largest tinned fish selection of any bar in the downtown area. They have bread with European butter. Coming back for sure.

Ambiance here is very chill, relaxing vibes, dimmed lights, and cute tables with seating indoor/outdoor. Bar seating availability as well. The bartender was super sweet and attentive towards me the whole time I was there alone. This place serves unique delicatessen bites. They specialize in "tinned fish" and various wine selections as well as beer on tap. I did not get to try out the tinned fish this time around but I went with the French onion dip and chips--so good when you are hungry! I enjoyed the French onion dip because it was so rich and tasty. The bartender suggested a red wine, called "Bruno zanasi (ita) charmat a Lambrusco red wine. So subtly sweet yet flavorful that I ended up ordering another glass. 5/5 I also ordered their baguette with butter that was warmed up nicely when it arrived at my table and I devoured the entire bread. So yeah, it was delightfully good. 5/5 They also have unique wallpapers in their restrooms which attracted me to read what people have written on behalf of the dogs included in the wallpaper (you must see it in person to know what im talking about) fun and funny words!! Such a cozy place to come and chill, enjoy bites and relax with some amazing wine. I really enjoyed my time here.

We ordered the Harissa marinated skull island prawns & Oyster mushroom skewers to start. I loved the prawns and the salad verde on the mushrooms were delicious. The Butchr bar burger is a dry-aged ribeye blend patty that comes out juicy and is a good size. The tallow fries are thick and freshly fried- paired with the burger is a perfect combo. The ribeye is shareable and I loved putting the horse radish on it. For dessert we ordered the panna cotta & their chocolate covered ice cream bar. It was a vanilla bean panna cotta with a passion fruit sauce, it felt very light for dessert. The chocolate covered ice cream was a perfect sweet treat finish to the meal. Parking- street parking

We asked him questions about his business, meat, and other items in the menu. Both our waiter and the owner did not skip a beat happily and excitedly answer our questions. It was so fun. The Food- Wow‼ I am not a huge fan of Wagyu, however, I am now a convert because our waiter educated me and helped me with my order choices. He is a genius. We will be back. Thank you for such a lovely dining experience.
