I've used Yelp Projects a few times now and I'm always impressed with how helpful it is. This time…read moreI needed help fixing a leak in my home's exterior main water line, and Yelp helped me find a few reliable plumbing companies. I received several responses with quotes, and Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter was the first company to reach out. I contacted them around 5 PM on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule a free estimate for Friday. Dan Burke showed up right on time. He was professional, efficient, and easy to talk to. Like the other companies I spoke with, he recommended repiping as the best solution for the long run. He gave me an estimate for the project and also mentioned that if the office couldn't schedule the repair on Monday, he could stop by to do a quick temporary fix to stop the leak and then come back when they could finish the job. I really appreciated that because I don't like wasting water. The price Dan quoted was also very reasonable compared to the other companies. After thinking it over, I decided to go with Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter and called the office to schedule the appointment. They weren't able to do the repipe on Monday but scheduled it for Tuesday. Dan did come by on Monday to help temporarily stop the leak. Then he and his team came back Tuesday morning and started the project. Everything went smoothly. My house now has a new pipe, no more leaking, and it feels great knowing the issue is fixed. I'm glad I found a plumbing company I can trust.

Mike arrived in less time than I could put my phone down and started the removal of the outdated tank. Dillion arrived and completed the installation of the new tank as Mike headed out to another job (this was Friday of a three-day holiday). The process was fast, professional and Dillion went out of his way to clean the area up. Desert Water Plumbing is a customer-friendly company and each of their employees are incredible to work with. I can always depend on them!

Even after a year and a half when I needed filters replacement, Jon was on top of it and organized everything for me. Jose Baltazar, the technician who serviced me today was very professional, friendly and went above and beyond making sure I'm happy with everything. I'm so pleased with the quality of service and the product itself, but especially with the people I interacted with.

Super Bowl Sunday, I installed a water heater on an emergency basis as the pressure relief valve was faulty and could not function due to a sand like substance that was clogging the valve. The home also had low hot water pressure; however, no pressure issues on the cold side. The Puragain system had 2 pressure valves, one at each end of the system and it did not have any type of a bypass installed. Pressure at the inlet side was 55 psi and on the outlet side, it slowly crept up from 0 to 35 psi and no more. Puragain's emergency line was called and being it was Sunday, no tech was available. The next day, the tech comes to the house only to say this water pressure issue is due to a faulty toilet valve in the house... I chuckled under my breath. It's clear there's some form of blockage in the system and being the hot water heater that had been replaced yesterday was filled with a sand like substance. And quite a bit, much more than any potential sediment seen from an opened main water line. The tank was the first fixture to receive the water in the house and there were no issue at the time on the cold side. After the tech disproved his own theory, he went over to the filters and removed the third. It had the same sand substance that was in the hot water heater, only the tech went as far to say this is supposed to be full. About 1/8 of the material was left. At this point, the tech finally says, "We are at fault." He provided a number in which became discussion with a regional manager who at first seemed to be helpful and then abruptly disappeared. It's now June 1st. Last night was spent trying to remove sand so the bath will fill up. Laundry is a struggle as the hot water doesn't work well. Nor do the dishwasher, showers or any faucet. Maybe one day Puragain will make the hot water lines just that.
