We had our gas water heater's ignitor go out on us. I called one place and they said it would cost $16,000 to replace it. I told them I did not want to replace it, I wanted to fix the one we had. Well, they wouldn't even look at it. So I went online to see if they still had the parts to fix it. Found the ignitor for $40, got it in a couple of days and it fired right up. Water softening systems using salt are not allowed in parts of the Phoenix Valley currently - and in future won't be allowed valley wide because discharging salt into the sewer not being compatible with the water recycling process. I contacted Tankless Pros to learn about the tankless water heaters and I found a gem of a company. It was impossible for me to move my water heater tank outside of my house and I have witnessed the damage that a leak can cause to floors, walls, etc. To prevent any potential issues, I elected to have a tankless water heater installed. The owner, Sid, was patient and went through all of the details of a tankless water heater. I thoroughly respected that Tankless Pros has pricing on the homepage! I didn't find that anywhere else. The installation went smoothly though the installers did need a part or two that were unavailable due to the time of day. I did have hot water that night and they were back first thing the next day to complete the installation. Due to shabby work done in my house by a previous owner, Tankless Pros needed to do one last plumbing upgrade to make the system work seamlessly. The owner and one of the installers returned on Saturday morning and didn't charge me for the visit. I have endless hot water and very highly recommend Tankless Pros. Our water heater was leaking water from somewhere under the bottom of the water heater. I sent out a request for estimates in Yelp that evening and Sid responded shortly after 6 the next morning. I called him, and he explained how the insulation change from foam to polyurethane can make tracing leaks more difficult. His guys (Matthew and Adam) were out here by 10 that morning, and Matthew further explained how sediment can cause pin hole leaks in the bottom of the tank (which is why you should regularly drain the water). Our water heater died on a Sunday evening and we called them on Monday morning. Sid was super helpful in deciding on what to replace it with and setting up the installation. Originally we wanted a tankless and set up install for the new one for Wednesday. Adam & Matt arrived on Wednesday around 12:30 prepared to install a new tankless water heater for us. Unfortunately, after many attempts at trying to find a way to do the install, it was a no-go based on the construction of the house back in 2004. They were so helpful... went to their warehouse 15 minutes from our house, picked up a traditional 75 gallon gas water heater, immediately returned and installed it. They were done around 3:30!!
