I've used Yelp Projects a few times now and I'm always impressed with how helpful it is. This time I needed help fixing a leak in my home's exterior main water line, and Yelp helped me find a few reliable plumbing companies. I received several responses with quotes, and Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter was the first company to reach out. I contacted them around 5 PM on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule a free estimate for Friday. Dan Burke showed up right on time. He was professional, efficient, and easy to talk to. Like the other companies I spoke with, he recommended repiping as the best solution for the long run. He gave me an estimate for the project and also mentioned that if the office couldn't schedule the repair on Monday, he could stop by to do a quick temporary fix to stop the leak and then come back when they could finish the job. I really appreciated that because I don't like wasting water. The price Dan quoted was also very reasonable compared to the other companies. After thinking it over, I decided to go with Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter and called the office to schedule the appointment. They weren't able to do the repipe on Monday but scheduled it for Tuesday. Dan did come by on Monday to help temporarily stop the leak. Then he and his team came back Tuesday morning and started the project. Everything went smoothly. My house now has a new pipe, no more leaking, and it feels great knowing the issue is fixed. I was in a rush so they did their best to quote me over the phone based on the inspection report and Google maps overhead. But to be safe we decided to have them come out. They sent someone out promptly. Then they sent their other guy out to run a camera line. They discovered that despite being under the house a few feet they could line it without ripping up the floor - for a good price. They also offered to work with the title company to get paid out of escrow. They did not charge me for the initial quotes. Had a leak out front that we could not identify. Not a landscape leak and City of Phoenix came out and it wasn't their leak. It's the pipe that goes from water meter to your house. Homeowner responsibility. Called Desert Water 7am this morning and they had a team out to the house by 11:30 led by Mike P. They assessed, advised what they may or may not find once they start digging and provided verbal estimates for each option based on finding. Once they dug down about 2 feet they found the leak, made the repair and refilled the hole and swept up. Great job. Made additional recommendations. Job complete in about 1.5 hours. They were prompt to reply to my request, we able to quote me fairly and accurately and were able to get me on the schedule for install in a timely manner. Joe my technician showed up 10mins BEFORE his scheduled start window and was a pleasure to interact with.
