Been to both locations once, and both times had a really great bartender with a fun personality and banging music. It feels like there's a fun community, and there seems to be a regular crowd. The bar area is pretty social, and we end up chatting to the people next to us both times too. The drinks are simple but nice. I truly liked the staff and and in the beginning wanted to love this place. However.. here are the issues: 1. My coat was stolen: I had it on my seat. I only was gone 5 or less minutes to the restroom, it was gone on return and the staff were not willing to help me. 2. Men started fighting over me - I was trapped in the middle for a long time hoping they would not engage in a physical fight. I was so scared. 3. The staff were lovely but they didn't at all ask me if I was okay after the near bar fight that seemed overall not so much about me. I want to be kind as I liked the staff but these are serious things. If you do come here, do not leave your belongings for a second. Do not talk to the locals. Be very careful. read more

Was surrounded by great 90's music (more focus on great singers), cool patrons, great brews, and Moan (forgive if the spelling is off) who is attentive and friendly. Usually there is a frozen cocktail that's pretty delicious alongside a slew of good wines and regular drinks. There is a single bartender holding down the fort and when it gets busy, service can be a little slow. It's also hit and miss being able to find a seat because it's such a tiny bar. As far as the vibe, it's usually pretty loud with music from the 2010s blaring with about half of the patrons singing along. A fun time indeed. read more

The vibe, drinks, and service were all top-notch. It was pretty empty when we got there & got gradually more crowded, so I imagine it would be harder to snag a table if you arrive later in the night. Came to this cute little bar that wasn't busy at all on a Friday night. I enjoyed a dirty apple cider while my friend got the artisan fortified wine which was a small shot but tasted so good! Charming and intimate. When I went there were only a few other people, but, since it's tiny, that was plenty. All were the sort of happy, bubbly twentysomethings this curmudgeonly ancient Hell's Kitchener often speaks of unkindly. The two bartenders were chirpy British birds (and I never thought in my life I would actually use that turn of phrase, but it's the right one here). Everyone seemed to know everyone else quite well, and there was a lot of friendly and voluable commotion, and happy singing along to songs on the playlist which meant nothing to me. Observing said charmingly attired birds felt a bit like a trip back to the Sixties. They were certainly friendly, although occasionally one needed to raise one's voice to make it through their happy chatter. This place is pretty much beer (who cares?) and wine (both colors), but on a hot summer day their frozen rose and frozen spiked lemonade are icy perfection, and who would not appreciate a free box of popcorn with their drink? I did have the slightly uncomfortable but unavoidable feeling of crashing someone else's party, which may figure in any decision to return. I also imagine it gets filled to capacity often. However, on a hot day the frozen drinks were a tonic, and I did quite enjoy the scenery. In past years I'd readily give this place four stars, but I am trying to avoid creeping "grade inflation." If you are the sort of person to which any of the above sounds appealing, then by all means go. You'll probably have a great time. read more

After being there for around an hour, asked for a check, and a waitress gave us one with all the drinks that we didn't order with a total of $42. We pointed out that there is definitely a mistake, and asked for a correct one. After a couple of minutes she returned with another check with the same exact total of $42 with 2 frozens and one cider in it, and told us that the actual total is probably only 1 or 2 bucks less.
