if you get really claustrophobic, this is not the best bar to go to in New York. it was a cute and unique spot. The drinks were really good. We ordered a beer which was nice. The service is fast but please know because it's so small inside it is really loud and you can hear everyone else's conversations. It is really cute that they give you some popcorn to munch on while taking a sip of your drinks, but I would just come here for a casual hang out with friends. I wouldn't expect a whole lot from this place.

I absolutely love this place. Great service, great ambiance. It's not too loud or awkwardly quiet. It's just the best.

We had amazing impromptu drinks before a show thanks to Landen! It was a spectacular experience and he really made us feel so welcomed and at home. We will definitely be returning and can't recommend this place enough!

This is the cutest wine bar on the West side. It is a small bar, small enough to fit in your back pocket (bah dum tss), would maybe squeeze in 30 people tops, shoulder-to-shoulder. A group of 6 of us dropped in after a show closer to closing time. We had a blast with the bartender who was playing all the 2000s hits that we all sang at the top of our lungs. There's also free popcorn to go with drinks. Overall, a lovely place to grab drinks after an activity in midtown. Can't wait to come back!

The vibes here are immaculate! I stopped in after dinner on a Saturday thinking I'd just grab a glass and go home, I had no idea how much fun I would have and the new friends I would make! Upon entering I immediately noticed this little bar isn't what it seems from the outside! Loud music that gets everyone singing blasts throughout the small space and the bartender Nico keeps spirits high and gets everyone into it! I'll admit, I was skeptical at first - I thought I was walking into a quiet and calm little wine bar, but I'm glad it was the exact opposite! I ordered the Cabernet and my glass came filled to the brim with an easy to drink, well balanced wine I easily sipped away while chatting with those beside me in between singing our hearts out to Whitney Houston and Taylor Swift! More Info About The Place: - The bar is super small (enough room for maybe 25 people close together) so don't bring your entire friend group, but definitely come by yourself or with 1-2 close friends. - The menu is short and sweet, just a few beer and wine options (all with a very generous pour!) and free popcorn to go along with your drink. - If you don't like loud music, talking to strangers, and singing, don't come here.

This bar is a delight! We ducked in on a particularly hot evening, and the frozen drinks were the perfect way to cool down. How fun are the disco ball stirrers? They gave us free popcorn as well. I admit, I love it when establishments provide some kind of complimentary treat.

Overall rating: 4.8 Always a joy to visit. Drinks are top notch and bartenders are so nice! I like to come on a Saturday afternoon and just read a book. The popcorn is also so good and the drinks are very reasonably priced. Definitely have to come back when I get the chance.

What a neighbor gem! This is the kind of bar where you can sip on your wine all night and chat with the bartender and the locals. I picked this place to have a nightcap after enjoying our omakase nearby. We sat by the bar on a Tuesday night, and it was quite a full house! Nico was our bartender, and he was very friendly and attentive. The alcohol choices were limited to sangria, wine, and beer, which was exactly what we were looking for. The wine list wasn't extensive, but the red wines we had were full-body and delicious. Not to mention, the pour was generous too. I will definitely return again!

    Sharknado Sangria! 3/5. IG: @amei.eats

(Overall: 83% | B) - This sangria is infused with sprite, pineapple, and other fruit. Unfortunately though, none of those flavors came through and it tasted mostly like just a glass of white wine. The drink itself looks cute though. Overall, the bar is small so it gives fuzzy intimate vibes and the bartender is really nice so its a pretty reasonable place to go for a small group!

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

A couple of dishes stand out, but the others are bland and unmemorable. *Blue Crab Toast: My favorite thing I have eaten here. This is a dish I would come back for on its own. The portion of blue crab is generous, and it is mixed with what tastes like curry powder, giving it an almost Asian-inspired flavor. *Mediterranean Salad: It has all the right ingredients, but it is under seasoned. It tastes like you are eating plain vegetables. *Harissa Lamb Chop: The lamb is cooked very well, but the dish is bland, like you are just eating meat. *Lobster Arrabbiata: The portion of lobster is generous, but the whole dish is one dimensional. We ate about half of it, and even had lobster leftover. The ambiance is mixed. Some parts of the restaurant are great, while others are too dark. Service is attentive.

Shoutout to Chris who not only tended bar but worked the floor and to the lovely hostess whose name I wish I had gotten. But really the whole staff was just A+++. We shared the crispy artichokes (outstanding) and the cacio e Pepe arancini (where the fried parsley was especially unique and delicious) to start. I had the eggplant parmesan which reminded me of an eggplant dish I had in Venice -- but better. My husband had the ricotta cavatelli which was also great. For dessert I had the olive oil cake accompanied by lemon curd and --wait for it -- rosemary gelato. I was skeptical about this gelato, but it turned out to be a wonderfully fantastic surprise! My husband had the Apple Crostata which was also fantastic. The limoncello was a perfect way to end the meal. I was told by my husband that I can't shave off a star for Chef Tom not being there himself. So, I won't. Fair enough. But I'm still hoping I catch him another time.
