Was here over the weekend, had a decent time to watch the UFC fight. Close to MSG/Penn station, so that's clutch but I'm a lil convinced my group of 3 was overcharged. 3 people drinking beers and 1 alcoholic drink plus $100 of food had a bill of $315. We came here last minute by referral of a friend and we weren't disappointed. We were expecting a random small bar but it was actually a big nice looking bar/ restaurant. There's lots of TVs and the space itself actually looks decent with the floral decor. The drinks were good, a little on the weaker side but I definitely only got a Moscow mule so it could have been what I ordered. Everyone else did enjoy their drinks. Came here a few days ago because my college had a happy hour event for alumni. It was great because there was a lot of space for us in the back because more than 100 people showed up to the event. I took my family to watch an impromptu soccer match on a Sunday morning. It was empty considering the time of day. The server was amazing. I forgot her name but what an Irish accent that was mesmerizing which was a treat in of itself but it can't offset the smelly bathrooms. Did someone not clean anytime before they opened? Also they never offered to put the sound on and even when I asked for it they never put it or followed up on it. Rather than throwing a tantrum there I'll vent here, where it matters. This is a really cool place! It's the perfect mix of classic and modern. The wait staff is great, and I can tell that the margarita has tequila in it, without tasting like hand sanitizer. It's also a great place to watch major sports events, as they have several TVs and large projectors. It's insulated from the sidewalk, so you get a great bar in the middle of Times Square, without the negative effects of the street grime. Would highly recommend! read more

I finally made it to Printers Alley to watch a Tennessee football game, and I'm so happy I did! The atmosphere was fantastic, patrons were energetic, and bartenders were great. The game day deals are some of the best in Manhattan. I did whiskey and coke for the game, which was the perfect drink to remind me of Rocky Top. In addition to drinks, my group also enjoyed the curly fries and chips and salsa. While all of the above were great I do think there are improvements that could be made with the reservations. There is very limited seating for walk ins on game day, and reservations were all mixed together in communal tables - sometimes resulting in half of the party having to stand at tables. Downstairs there is open bar seating area but only for about 15 people and the bartender seemed very overwhelmed (only one bartender for all of the downstairs orders). That being said, the bartender was still incredibly friendly despite being busy. Next time I go i'll try to make a reservation. Go Vols! read more

They have an outside patio area which we took over for our large group. Sure, it was hot out, and I had just run 4 miles from uptown to this joint which is right around way from Hells Kitchen. The service wasn't necessarily bad; our waitress was polite, but she didn't check on us much (we would've ordered more drinks) and someone else cleared our drinks before we were finished with them. It's very loud and crowded here, especially during happy hour, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want to grab dinner/drinks and catch up with a friend. Also, the first floor bathroom is atrocious. It looked like something out of a horror film. The light was flashing, there was crumpled up paper towels all over the floor..which was also slippery,and it looked like it hadn't gotten deep-cleaned in ages. I remember coming here years ago to kill some time before meeting up with a friend in midtown after work and before an event. I remember it was insanely claustrophic and packed. Not sure if I even ordered a drink or if I just popped in and out but I remembered it and its super close by to where my boyfriend now practices. So we pop in occasionally for a drink beforehand. This place is odd in that it can get insanely crowded, be empty, or have like an adequate sized crowd. But you'll find that all at the same time frames and or weird hours. He claimed that once it was packed like a rave was happening at 2am on a Sunday and he just kept watching out of curiosity to see what was happening. Anyway, they have a decent happy hour that runs until 7pm (Even on Weekends!) Its $5 for canned beers like pacifico, tecate, and founders all day ipa, and then $7 wines, and I think $8 on either frozen drinks or specialty cocktails that they're featuring for the week. But it's a solid deal for anywhere in Manhattan these days. I hear the food is decent as well. Haven't tried it but I think my friend that used to work nearby has so I believe it. The bar staff is super friendly. It's a spacious bar with a downstairs area as well most likely for booking parties because I've never seen people in it. What an AMAZING place, tucked away just around the corner from HELL('s kitchen). Super nice. Spacious. Lots of tvs. Great to watch a game or gather with a crowd of any size. Couldn't believe how awesome the food was either. The chicken sandwich was huge, hot and fresh. To my surprise, the steak sandwich was the best I ever had. Fries were great too, and you get to choose from many options. We went for AYCD boozy brunch, and never had an empty glass. Bartender was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. She never let a person walk in without being acknowledged right away. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I don't understand the people who say the food is gross. If this doesn't please them, nothing will! Anyone who says they didn't like the food here is probably just looking for a handout.
