The drinks and atmosphere is amazing. The ladies who served us were truly kind and welcoming. Thank you for a great evening ladies. Stay blessed

The place did not open at their opening time. Two other people pulled on the door trying to get in. Besides that, it was a cozy spot with great vibes, solid drinks and friendly service. Nothing too crazy during happy hour.

I stopped by Ricky Bar on 55th and Broadway for a quick nightcap and asked the bartender what her favorite drink was. She recommended the "The Cartel," and it was fantastic. We had a great conversation, and I later found out her name was Nicole. I'll definitely be stopping by again for another one hopefully Nicole is working. Such a nice, cozy spot.

Great vibe, delicious drinks, friendly bartenders. Filet skewers were too salty for me. But I would go back for this lavender drink in a heartbeat!

So glad I finally made it here & for a friends birthday celebration. We were so well accommodated for our large, growing party all three instances throughout the night. Service was great until my order was the only one forgotten! So, I was the last one trying to finish up :( I LOVE pomegranate so despite it having alcohol I assumed it'd be sweet & more fruity. WRONG! It was extremely alcoholic overbearing so I let it water all the way down before drinking it. I should've requested a mocktail version but was multitasking through ordering excited about a pomegranate popsicle. Lol I'm always leery of spinach/artichoke at bars from bad experiences, but this was nearly perfect. I really loved it & it was very filling surprisingly! I highly recommend that and a pomegranate mocktail! The place is super comfy & charming. Worth a visit. Go, enjoy!

what a beautiful bar! small but mighty - with a fantastic happy hour. i've had the pomegranate drink saved forever and i'm happy to report its pretty delish. the ice cube is the pom stick. we got truffle popcorn AND the perfect snack sized grilled cheese sammy (not pictured bc too yum to wait) thank you for a beautiful time!

We stopped in here for a quick drink before we went to Broadway. Service: The service was great, even though they had a reservation they were happy to give us a table for an hour and we were happy for that. Ambiance: The place is very cute with its velvet chairs and gold tables. There are elegant lamps scattered everywhere for great lighting. They also have put a lot of thought into food and drinks presentation. Food: We got the truffle popcorn and grilled cheese. Both were very good. They definitely didn't skimp on the truffle in the popcorn and it was clearly fresh popped. The grilled cheese was also very good and came with a really nice jam. Drinks: Unfortunately, the drinks really didn't meet our expectations. They just tasted off and some tasted bitter too. It almost felt as if the ratios of ingredients were off. We ordered 4 drinks and out of 4 drinks only one was decent so that was disappointing. The drink we did love was the lavender lady.

All the vibes of a speakeasy hidden in plain sight. Located next to Tanner Smiths, the cocktail bar has great drinks and a very relaxed and secretive atmosphere. A perfect spot to escape tourists, and crowded bars. They have comfy couches, good service and amazing drinks. I had the Lavender Girl cocktail which was excellent. This is a perfect date spot and place to relax after a long day.

I stumbled onto The Rickey while looking for a holding position while waiting for friends from a nearby hotel. The atmosphere and decor are really remarkable. They dimmed the lights and lit candles. The couches and seating sections overall looked comfortable and intimate (conducive to a little date night *Hint* *Hint*). The bartenders were very welcoming and offered immediate assistance to me. I did note that service at the bar was a little faster than service to tables so beware of that. I had a couple of their drinks which were stellar. They really seem to be good mixologists. I had no complaints up to this point. However, the Cacio e Pepe small dish was not good. It immediately gave me a strange stomach pang but I figured that was from not having eaten all day. The problem is my upset stomache continued into the next day. That was the only thing out of the ordinary in the last 24 hours before. So stay away from that dish! Bottom line: Go but beware of the food. Grab a drink. Chill for a little while and then head out to another venue for dinner.

We came by for HH only -- the lounge was basically empty, there was only one other party inside -- so we had our choice of seats. They had nice coffee tables for each seat in the lounge area, and the couches were pretty comfy (some are single seaters, some are two-three seaters). There's also bar seating. There's a long list of cocktails to order from, but you can get $1 truffle grilled cheese with the order of a cocktail during happy hour, so check out this deal if you get a chance. The portion size is fairly small (4 thin strips), and it also comes with a sweet jam, but for $1, it is an amazing deal (and it tastes really good!). The drinks were tasty and refreshing as well. It is a tad awkward they make you pay and tip right in front of them (staff member didn't even let go of the POS machine) when you're closing out, but other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

    Dim setting
    Kerry L.

Lovely place, quaint, dim lighting, perfect meet up spot for a drink or two or three. Service is ok. Food was ok, I was really excited about the truffle grilled cheese because it caught my attention but I think it would be better if I made it myself

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a refined, slightly cinematic night out in Flatiron.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
