Came on a Friday night to see the band. Decided to arrive early and get a good table and grab a bite to eat. Food was absolutely horrible, even for bar food. I ordered brisket tacos. They were so greasy that the grease literally ran out of the taco. They had chopped raw onions on it like you would put on a hot dog, not grilled onions like you would expect with brisket. I attempted to "wring out" the grease in order to eat the tacos, as I was hungry, but couldn't force it down even with beer. Sweet potato fries were OK. Young manager with nose ring seemed to be offended that I complained about the food and had a lot of attitude. I love live music and wish the bar success, but eat somewhere else before you come. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere is great. Staff are always super nice. We love to go and listen to the bands on the weekends And dancing.Keep in mind there is a cover charge but really well worth it. We try to go at least once a week. We usually get the chicken fingers they are really good and so are their loaded tater tots. It really is a fun time every time we go. read more

We were very happy they agreed to take a large reservation for our boys lacrosse team on a Saturday afternoon. They were very responsive when we were making the reservation! They had all of the tables set up and ready when we got there. Ample Parking. Cool Place to watch sports events on the many TVs. The kids spent some time in a back room playing billiards, video games etc while waiting for the food. They were a bit understaffed (I think one of the servers called out) but the one waitress working with us was great and did her best! The bar kept up well with our drink orders. The food came out in various stages which of course if to be expected with a large group . We thought it was helping by having each parent order for their player to cut done on confusion with the bill but in hindsight we should have ordered for the boys first before moving to the caregivers as some of the boys were ravenous but the last to get their burgers! All in all good locations , good staff and tasty food! I ate some of the sampler appetizers, and fish and chips. I enjoyed them both. The owner Tony and his beautiful wife and lovely staff were very friendly and accommodating. I have never been to this kind of event and didn't know much of music but I had a ball. It was truly truly a perfect relaxing fun experience. I had the cucumber core and the blueberry buliet as my drinks and loved them both. The cucumber was refreshing and the the blueberry one was very very strong which kind of drowned out the blueberry purée and cinnamon. My friend had the Back Then Old Fashioned (Usually my drink of choice) and it was also very good but a bit sweet, possibly from the cherry in bottom. Her other drink I cannot remember name of but it was also very tasty with very fruity notes. For entrees we had quesadilla burger medium rare with onion rings and cajun shrimp pasta. The cream sauce for the pasta seemed a little bland which with the full flavor of Parmesan you would expect more especially since sauce doesn't penetrate cavatappi noodles well. The shrimp however were seasoned to perfection and very flavorful. The quesadilla burger was very tasty and the onion rings were great as well. Theres multiple other onsite activities of cornhole, pool, darts, and more. The restrooms are individual open gender toilets and are pretty clean for a bar. I really wanted to like this place. Service was good, but the food was not good. My burger was made incorrectly so I sent it back. It came back out and it wasn't cooked correctly this time around and tasted like someone had peanut butter in their hands when assembling. I didn't send it back because I wasn't going to send food back a second time. It's a good thing I'm not allergic to peanuts. That could have been bad. My husbands salad was okay your typical salad. Service: The wait staff was cordial and we were seated right away. The drinks and food order were taken as soon as we sat down and the food was served within a 10-15 minute time period. We are in the south and sweet tea is always the first thing most people have and a good choice. It was delicious. However, I could have stood a bit more ice in my glass. Food: I ordered fish and chips and my husband ordered one of their specialty hamburgers. I was sitting and anticipating fish that was not fresh and fried hard to hide the poor quality. BOY WAS I WRONG! It was the ABSOLUTE best fish dish that I've had in many many years! I haven't had it that tasty and cooked to perfection, served right from the grease since I visited the Dominican Republic Islands. Let me describe this wonderful experience. The fish texture was as if the chef/owner had caught it this morning. The meat was delightfully flakey and the crust was seasoned to perfection. On the side was a dish of tartar sauce that I knew was specially made. It had a hint of dill and so tasty. When the chef visited our table I had to express my gratitude for such care in preparing our food. I also mentioned that the tartar sauce tasted unique and I loved it. Although, he shared with me his recipe I know I will just go to the restaurant from now own to have it. :) Ambiance - It is also a bar that we chose to visit during lunch and it was pretty quiet. The staff was getting ready for the evening it being Friday. Anyway, we immediately knew that we'd revisit during the evening hours at a later date to soak in the full experience. We really wanted to like this place. My wife wanted to try something new, so we did. It was a disappointment. We sat at the bar. It was the bartenders first day, it showed. She stated several times she didn't like beer , one doesn't need to like beer to bartend but one should know your own menu and know how to make drinks, she was trying. She was also slow and not tending to all her customers. Ten minutes to get a beer with only six customers at the bar. It took a while for the food to come out. While we were waiting we noticed a large group come in , sit down and then leave. It took a while for the food to arrive (yes, stated a 2nd time) The salad looked great! It is seriously difficult to mess up a salad. My wife got the coconut shrimp. Shrimp were burnt. We also got the appetizer plate. Artichoke dip wasnt fresh , looked like it was sitting for a while and maybe microwaved. Chicken nuggets had more bread than chicken. Sorry, we might give it a 2nd try again sometime. Overall a fun atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding service. Specifically, the hamburgers and calamari we ordered were delicious and reasonably priced. The owners Tony and Larissa make their way around and spend time getting to know the customers and treat everyone like family. We went on a Wednesday night for the dueling piano show and had a blast. We will definitely be making this place a regular date night. With the added options of playing cornhole outside and a free pool table inside, I can also see this as being a fun place to bring friends and family. read more

Recently visited. The food had been good thus far. Went in and got the appetizer, and the chicken was not cooked all the way. They made new, and took a couple dollars off. Probably should have taken the meal off. Uncooked food can make one seriously sick. At that point, i lost my appetite. Glad i noticed it was raw chicken before i ate any more. My husband and I decided to try the Back Then Bar and Grill on a Wednesday for the dueling piano bar and we are so glad we did. We had a total blast and the food was actually very, very good. The service was good and the entertainment was amazing. They could not be stumped no matter what song you requested. My husband requested Santa Clause is back In Town by Elvis (from "The Christmas Chronicle", our favorite Christmas movie, and the crowd went wild; they loved it. It was played and sung so well that everyone would love it at any time. Then we requested "California Love"! I mean who really knows the words to that crazy fast wrap song, and can sing it so well it sounds as good as the real some, at the tempo and beat while keeping up, much less singing and playing it at the same time? Well, I almost caught flies in my mouth because the super talented piano prodigy was so darn impressive and fun we could not believe it. I mean that song is so hard but they made it seem as easy as "Mary had a little lamb!" The entertainment was A+ and 10 stars out of 10! If you want to eat great food while listening, singing, laughing, dancing and meeting nice people without worrying about dressing up, try it and you will not regret it. Prices are good; we ate and drank for $40 including a 20% tip. You will be so impressed and happy you came. We will be back, maybe even tomorrow for Karaoke night! I'm very confused why this place has such a good rating. The only thing about this place that was good was the bartender. Her drinks were made so well. Our waitress was horrible. SUPER SLOW! Our food took over an hour to get to us. We were the first people in the place for about 20 minutes. Her excuse was oh I put your food in the system but for some reason it didn't send and then Literally laughed. There were 4 other couples in the restaurant by the time we got our food and two of them already had gotten theirs. Then we waited another half hour before she decided to come over and ask if we wanted a box. We asked for the check and she then proceeded to read off everything we ordered and then stood over my husband watching what he was going to put for a tip. Spoiler alert...it was nothing. This was probably the worst service we have had. To add to it all my burger had raw veggies on it when they are supposed to be cooked. It was a Philly cheesesteak burger. The fries were clearly frozen, And extremely undercooked. We asked for a box and never got it because she never came back. Probably because we didn't tip her for her shitty service. read more
