The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.

My daughter ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken. The waitress brought her a taco salad with ground beef. When we pointed out the salad was wrong, the waitress at first had the attitude of 'sorry, oh well', but then offered to "go get some chicken". She took the salad back to be remade when we insisted, but then brought the new one out with fried chicken instead of grilled. She told us they didn't have grilled chicken, even though my daughter had just had the salad, with grilled chicken, a few days ago. The waitress said they hadn't been open long and the menu would be changing a lot. When the bill came, not only had she charged us for the bungled salad, she had also charged us for the chicken! Yes, that would be the fried chicken that should have been grilled and should have been on the salad from the beginning. (Not to mention, my daughter didn't even eat it because it was tasteless.) I went to the counter to discuss the bill with the waitress, and the cooks and another waitress were laughing in the kitchen. That waitress was saying, "And I want my chicken *free range*! I don't want it to have been cooped up in a cage!" When I questioned the bill and indicated I had no intention of paying for the chicken, the waitress didn't seem to know what to do about it. I said I would pay for the salad, even though it really should have been either removed or discounted since they had gotten it wrong twice. She said she couldn't take things off the bill because she didn't have a manager available to approve it. Finally, the other waitress came out of the kitchen and removed the charges for the chicken and salad. She said she knew my family and I had been coming there for years (when it had been home to two other restaurants) and we wouldn't "just complain because". I said they needed to listen when customers were ordering. The waitress who had taken our order just turned and walked away, clearly upset. It was obvious our waitress is new and inexperienced. It is obvious the staff was unprofessional and disrespectful (you just don't mock your customers where you can be heard - should be a no-brainer). It should be pretty obvious we won't be back. We miss Emerald City Grill; they knew how to take care of their customers.

I've seen other people complaining about rude staff but they seemed cheerful enough to me, or maybe I'm just a handsome bastard. I waited awhile for my food (thank God for smartphones) but when it came I was impressed with the presentation (this is upscale for bar food) and the Iron Mountain Burger was a most excellent kick-ass burger, and just what I was looking for. Had the house salad with it because I'm trying to eat healthy... thousand island because I'm not trying very hard. What more can I say about this? Food was excellent, and I detected none of the attitude other people have talked about. If you want a burger and a bit of rustic atmosphere, check this place out.

This will be my final time trying it. My daughter really wanted the garlic fries and those were actually the only thing that was good. Her chicken was very stringy. My sandwich was burnt on half. Of course that's the half they put down on the plate. And I had a BLTA and it literally had barely any avocado on it. I ended up eating it open faced with one piece of bread. Very sad for what use to be a fun hometown place. I can't say the service was good.

This is the second place I've been to recently that has had carnivore options on their menu. Their drink menu is very extensive, they have a great tap list, and a great mocktail list. The only reason they are getting a 4 instead of a 5 is that they were out of several of the ingredients to make their mocktails they had listed on their menu and we went their specifically for the mocktail menu because my girlfriend can not have alcohol at this time. Great place, great food, and great service though.

Course is nothing fancy and it's pretty short (I want to say 2,700-2,800 yards from the whites for each of the nines we played). The beverage cart came through five or six times, which is probably the most I've ever experienced. The beers were cheap - $2 for a 12 oz Rainier and $4 for a 12 oz Bodhizafa. I used my prepaid round through the Around the Sound golf pass, so I don't know what the green fees are. The staff we encountered were all friendly - pro shop, starter, beverage cart, marshal. One thing I really liked was that they had a "warm up" bucket for the driving range. For most courses, the smallest bucket has 40-50 balls, but the "warm up" bucket had about 20, which is perfect if I want to shake off the morning rust. I don't need to hit fifty balls before my round, so it was nice to not have to pay for a larger bucket. It's definitely a course I'd play again if I were in the area.
