Came in alone after a visit to Northern State nearby. First impression: noisy, crowded, and service was a little slow. I've seen other people complaining about rude staff but they seemed cheerful enough to me, or maybe I'm just a handsome bastard. I waited awhile for my food (thank God for smartphones) but when it came I was impressed with the presentation (this is upscale for bar food) and the Iron Mountain Burger was a most excellent kick-ass burger, and just what I was looking for. Had the house salad with it because I'm trying to eat healthy... thousand island because I'm not trying very hard. What more can I say about this? We used to love this place. It was our favorite place to go and have dinner and drink drinks. Since the new owner has taken over, the food has just gone downhill. This will be my final time trying it. My daughter really wanted the garlic fries and those were actually the only thing that was good. Her chicken was very stringy. My sandwich was burnt on half. Of course that's the half they put down on the plate. And I had a BLTA and it literally had barely any avocado on it. I ended up eating it open faced with one piece of bread. Very sad for what use to be a fun hometown place. I can't say the service was good. read more

The food was amazingly good, which wouldn't be your first thought when you walk in. (Don't judge a book by its cover). Beer was ice cold and my wife's margarita was "the best she has ever had" It is a sports bar but they still make it family friendly but don't loose the original look and feel. Wa also found it unusually quiet inside dispute the pool tables and several folks at the bar and seated all over the bar. So, we are trying to get a little more connected to our community, and checked out our good friend Yelp for some ideas. We noted that Iron Mountain (ironically, I had just engage found it on a map doing a bit of research on a mining claim) had a lot of 5 star reviews, so we decided to check it out for lunch one rainy day. The place was deserted - we were the only ones there - so we got to engage owner Luke in an extended conversation about how he and his wife Tiffany decided to open this place. They completely remodeled the building; it is paneled in knotty pine, giving it a clean, rustic look. If you like ground meat, they buy a unique blend of three types of beef, only available from one place in Moses Lake. One day they got in a shipment, but the best by date was that day, so they rejected it, and reordered. he had to come in during the blizzard to get that shipment! One reason we like Yelp is to find places with a great local feel, a great story, and this place has that in spades. My wife ordered the Veggie Panini with fries, and I got the Chicken Bacon Panini (minus the bacon) with the Zucchini Fries. Both were decent sandwiches. My wife's fries were excellent; the zucchini fries were good, but best eaten quickly, while still piping hot. Iron Mountain Bar and Grill is the quintessential small town bar and grill. This was a fun place with good food. Lots of t.v's, 2 pool tables, a dart board and Jenga. Jukebox for good tunes. Bingo on the last Tuesday of the month. The drinks were great. The food is okay I mean it's basically like the bullpen next door. Pub food. If that's what you like it's still only okay. However I would get stuff to go if I'm craving the chicken burger. Honestly the worst part about this place is they're clearly unorganized and when they are busy it is over an hour for your food. The service is terrible. I don't think I've ever had worse service than this place ever. I thought with the new owner maybe it would be better since I heard around town she was in the service side of things. Disappointingly that is not the case. They're rude, uncaring, forgetful, unprofessional. I think they could turn it around if they got better service. This is the best place in the Skagit. Everything is so good. The menu is very limited, but everything they do is wonderful. The owner, Tiffany, has all her own recipes for the zucchini fries, to chicken fried steak, to dressings and soups and more. The honey mustard dressing is sooo good! I want to eat everything on it! Chicken strips, fries, salad. The salad is always super fresh ingredients. I don't love the croutons, but honestly the salad doesn't even need them. Have yall ever had zucchini fries before???? Ugh. I dream about them. They are cooked perfectly with a very tasty batter. Also good with the honey mustard. I was here not to long ago and watched someone cut their steak with the wrong side of the knife! Like butter! Every time I have ordered the steak dinner or the steak salad, the steak is cooked exactly how I order it. I find that very hard to find in this part of the country. I have been here so many times and wasn't sure how to review it. The space is large and spacious with two pool tables and two dart boards. Moved to SW in June and this was the first bar we tried. I'm a lager drinker in the land of IPAs so I love the great selection. Great experience overall. The second visit was during Logger rodeo and they were fairly busy. The staff basically avoided us and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome so we left. We didn't mind waiting and could see they were busy, but not okay being treated like a nuisance for coming in. Tried again on a Friday night, this time male bartender looked us up and down and told us it would be a minute. We watched him fumble around with dishes, server tickets (floor was not that busy), and argue with the waitress about the tickets. All we wanted were two bottle beers and others at the bar had drinks. Is it because they don't know us??? Fifteen minutes later, we left....thirsty. I came here for lunch with my boyfriend and had an overall ok experience. The place was pretty busy and so our friendly waitress was slammed and we did not see much of her. That meant empty water cups. Also, busy meant LOUD here. It was hard to hear one another. The food was good! There was not a long wait for our food once we ordered it. We each had a chicken burger with fries. The fries were AWESOME. So good, flavorful and crunchy! The burger was a little lacking in flavor, but the grilled chicken breast on top of it was quality. Well, this was a fantastic choice for happy hour after a hot day in the valley . Cool, dark, very comfortable and easy, just like things should be in a small town bar and grill. However, here in Sedro there lives a spirit of being as good or better, and giving that little bit more to endeavors such as happy hour and taco Tuesday. At least, thats what Kimmy said. And so it is! Better margaritas because they're made with fresh limes and no commercial mixer. (I don't care what tequila they're pouring, because it's tasty and smoky and deliciously hits the spot). Stopped by this place on the way out of North Cascades to get a burger, but we didn't get a chance to try the food. We sat at a table, tried to flag down a waiter for about 20 minutes, and finally ended up leaving to head to Train Wreck Bar and Grill which has good reviews. The food looked great at Iron Mountain, and I wish we could have tried it. Whenever we made eye contact with the wait staff, they kinda brushed us off and acted super busy although there were several open tables. The restaurant is 21+ and has a loud, rowdy atmosphere which I wouldn't recommend for families. I got the feeling that they only wanted locals, but could be just me. read more

Good food! Like really good food! Terrible service. One of the guy servers with long hair didn't even come greet us the cook felt bad and finally did. We sat there for about ten minutes and were about to leave...The cook apologized about the server. Later..While we were eating the server took our waters and left the check!!! Ummm I've never had my waters pulled while I was eating! Felt like I was being asked to leave. And it was the middle of the afternoon with one other table. not busy. Another time brought a group in there (5) and the waitress seemed really annoyed. Didn't come check on us, couldn't get our tabs, rolled her eyes constantly and the food took over 45 min. They were steady that time but I mean a little customer service goes a long way. It's really not that hard. One time one of the girls was pretty nice I liked her but then she forgot to put in our food, got the order wrong when we did get it, asked for waters never got them, forgot to give us our check, when we asked for it we gave her our card and then she forgot to bring it back to us. We were there for almost two hours. Mostly with nothing in front of us. Again at least she was nice. Another time the male server suggested to go somewhere else for a cocktail because he was leaving soon and didn't want to start a table before his shift ended? I also heard him tell another table the same thing who was also trying to enter. Didn't realize they were so well off they don't want every customer....I have ordered to go food but the girl said they don't have many boxes. Told me there was no silverware or napkins she could give me? That they don't really do "to go orders" and seemed really put out I was asking so I mean just never mind. Haven't tried to order to go food since. I wasn't headed home or the silverware part wouldn't have been a big deal. She was super rude and I didn't know they didn't do "much to go food" I was just trying to order food. Actually I did have 1 good experience I was there on the 4th of July. I really really did not want to go. I know how wild Woolley is on the 4th! Anyways I was really impressed the waitress was really nice and I thought she handled the wild crowds pretty well! She said she only helps out time to time I think she said she was friends with the owner. She got food out pretty prompt I mean it did take awhile but it was really busy so no biggie. My food came out correctly! She did cut off some people in our group that I thought needed to be cut off. She was super wonderful about it. She didn't rush me, get curt with anyone at the table which half of them were wasted drunk asses. I can't believe she had the much patience! This place was the busiest it's ever been when I was there and she was so nice and wonderful I was like wow this girl should be here all the time! My biggest thing is nice waitstaff if you act like you don't want me to be there than I don't wanna be there. On to food..... I have had the crispy chicken sandwich. -seriously amazing!! Steak Sandwich- was cooked perfectly and very tasty! Pork Cutlet Dinner- different than I expected still really good! Onion Rings- I think they hand dip them. Very good! Caesar Salad with Chicken- good! Also there sliders are awesome! Chicken Bani Mi Burger super good! And also the Brunch Burger! Drinks are okay. Sometimes really good sometimes not as good. Live and work in this community. Love the food and ambiance, but there is one staff member that has been amazingly rude. She treated a friend disrespectfully several times and then my mother, which is what motivated me to do this. Had an amazing other staff member that gave me the chain of command information. Used this and the owner enabled her poor customer service. Will not return. Amazing how customer service matters. Don't except much, but being terribly rude is not ok.
