    Rack of ribs

Hands down- BEST RACK OF RIBS EVER! Seriously if I lived here this would be my go to spot. The slaw is delicious too and I really enjoyed the sides of sauces they make too! Family that runs it is also super nice! Honestly- this is MUST when you are visiting.

Great food high quality meat good flavor. Not to fatty brisket just they way it should be and the sandwich was HUGE and filled with goodness! My only complaint would be the one small cup of barbecue sauce was not enough for me!

Half rack $17.00 - not worth it!

Best brisket I have had. Is 400 miles too far to drive for brisket?Considering this important question now that I'm home from vacation.

Excellent place to stop and pick up a tasty lunch. Many choices for BBQ chicken, pork, and more. Very friendly service also.

Excellent ribs. We got two full racks and they were big racks with dry rub and many sauces to choose from. I will definitely return.

However, despite their impressive vegetarian selections, I was told upon arriving well before closing that they did not have any rice, salad, congee, or vegetarian pho. What's left, one might ask? The answer was vermicelli noodles with chargrilled tofu. These came with some pickled carrots and daikon. The tofu grilled up fantastically and had a delicious marinade. I'm told they get a fair number of vegan customers. There's not a lot else around. The quality was there, but I'd suggest coming early as keeping food in stock seems to be a challenge. I ordered a tea with a weird artificial grape flavor but also some nice fresh grapes and boba. The place runs as 100% takeout at the moment. This is not a huge drawback as one normally does not come to remote beach islands to sit inside, and if the weather is bad you probably have a hotel. I would like to come back and see if I can find reason to given them a higher rating.

Looking back, I probably should've gone an additional setting down on the heat scale but it was delicious and a massive portion. Being in mid March, we were offered a table close to the bar (away from the windows), so we'd stay warmer --but we couldn't resist the lure of sitting on the high chairs and looking out at the boat traffic, sparse as it was. So we just kept our light jackets on. Once the food and drinks began arriving and the music cranked up a bit, the place easily felt twenty degrees warmer anyway. The food was really good. Fresh, savory, done just right. The waitress was helpful: proactive, attentive, but also gave space. We ate at several other restaurants in Chincoteague that weekend, but this one was by far the best!

We specifically asked for the sauce on the tuna appetizer to be served on the side as it only needs a little. That did not happen. The kicker was the $23 fish & chips. One piece of fish (as shown in the attached picture) that was falling apart, not crispy and somewhat soggy. The waffle fries would have been decent if they hadn't been sitting for an extended period before serving. My wife ordered the same and was better (hot) but still one piece of fish. For a town/region know for fresh fish, this is well below local standard. Our bartender was OK but preferred serving the locals, some of whom were clearly there all day drinking themselves into a stupor. Save your money for betters places while visiting Chincoteague.

There is a small lot behind the restaurant. It was easy and there was plenty of parking since it was the off season. I did not have a reservation but, I was seated as a party of one pretty quick. The tables were draped with white table cloths, a nice table side light, sweeteners, tall clear glasses with a black napkin and tall salt and pepper shakers. The walls were a darker and lighter gray, hues of black and whites scattered throughout. I was in love with the old photos and the black and white prints throughout. There was a stunning glass sculpture hanging from the center of the dining room. It maybe a Chihuly glass chandelier. If it is not it resembles it. Hues of amber, orange and whites. My waitress came over within a few minutes and took my drink order. She informed me of the specials and brought over some bread, butter and herbed oil. I just had to try the cream of crab. On the menu it states it's a tight lipped recipe. The cream of crab was delicious. They have done their own spin on it. It came out piping hot. It had a slight kick to it, as if there was some sort of pepper in it... jalapeño? Could just be regular ground pepper. Overall, it was pretty good. My meal came with a choice of salad. It was either a garden salad, Caesar salad or tropical salad. I ordered the garden salad with ranch dressing. The salad was ok. Nothing to rave about. It had shoestring carrots, two cherry tomatoes and 2-3 types of lettuce. It did the job. I had the waitress choose my main dish for me. I could not decide. It was between the stuffed shrimp (stuffed with crab imperial), or the crab cakes. I opted for the vegetable of the day which was green beans. My waitress surprised me with stuffed shrimp, broiled. I'm so glad she went with the broiled vs fried option. She said it was the best way to go. The crab imperial was creamy and flavorful. The shrimp were a little on the smaller side. I personally did noThe green beans were nicely seasoned. For dessert I had the waitress choose agin. A choice between their strawberry shortcake which was a special, white chocolate coconut cream pie, or the vanilla crème brûlée. She chose well, the coconut cream pie. It was so good! I saw other tables around me being delivered their food and everything looked really good. This place is definitely a popular eatery. They will remain on the list to come back.
