My partner and I have been waiting for this truck to open for a few days now and the moment finally arrived.  We got 3 meats (beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork) and 2 sides (backyard slaw, salt potatoes) along with a 1/2 lb of the pulled chicken. The beef brisket and pulled chicken were both solid, but the standouts were the ribs and the pulled pork.  The meat on ribs was tender and juicy and slipped right off the bone!  The pulled pork was moist and the texture was soft.  The already delicious meats were enhanced by their original and hot bbq sauces! The cole slaw was not too sweet or sour and was just right...the salt potatoes were hearty and were nestled in a pool of melted butter.  Additionally, the corn bread served as a nice dessert. There really is no ambiance as it is a cute little food truck meant for takeout. My family really enjoyed the brisket, pork, muffins, potatoes, Mac & cheese, and the peach BBQ Sauce! First visit. I was the only customer. I noticed an off smell while standing there in front of the food truck and almost left. Smelled like bad cooking oil. Anyway, I took a chance and ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It also didn't smell good as I drove back to the motel. It turns out it was the bun that was funky. Tasted like old oil. The pork was okay. The first pieces were pretty tasty but a quarter of my sandwich was comprised of inedible membrane ( I have never seen this stuff in a pulled pork sandwich)! This should have be removed when they pulled the pork. And many pieces were probably close to the exterior of the meat which was rubbed with salt as they were very salty. I avoid food trucks but tried this one because of the high health rating and high Yelp reviews. My meal was a disappointment. read more

Amazing food! My mom, daughter, and I split the three meat combo (chicken, brisket, and pork). Our sides were slaw, macaroni and cheese, smoked mushrooms, potatoes, and cucumbers. My favorite dish was the mushroom side. I could have eaten those all day and the garlic sauce served with them was chef's kiss. We tried the regular bbq and the white bbq. Both were delicious. Of the meat I loved the pork. My daughter loved the mac and cheese and coleslaw. My mom loved the pork, brisket, and potatoes. Everything was perfect. Went to the Backyard Firepit and had the AWESOME folks there make my wife and i our carryout dinner. Smoked Brisket, Pork and Potatoes with a Cuban Sandwich on the side (My personal Favorite). First time. Very disappointed in the brisket sandwich. The brisket was dry and then loaded into a dry bun. All the sauce in the world couldn't save the sandwich. Ended up trashing the bun and dipping the brisket in the sauce which wasn't too bad. The fries were very soft and greasy. I gave two stars because I like the owners and hope they do well. read more

This is the best barbecue I have ever eaten! We had the ribs, cole slaw and salt potatoes. The ribs were outstanding. The rub on them is slightly sweet, Smokey and salty. They are so delicious that you do not need sauce. If you want sauce, there are several choices that you can have one the side. The meat on the ribs is cooked perfectly and falls right off the bone. Chicken, brisket and pork are what we tried. The combos were great! Good sized, tasty and the sauces were excellent! Sides were super as well. Worked out nice with traffic on main and maddox this is a close in, just off the main drag destinations. Few days later, we have tried the ribs and the whole chicken, both were superb! Wow incredible food at this new island food truck on Church St across from the Market. The Smoked Cuban sandwich was possibly my favorite on the island even rivals Woodys and Smokeys which our family loves. The homemade Bbq sauce was great with everything. Kids loved the wings.
