4 stars only because we tried to come by at lunch and they were closed so typical for the island on the off season posted hours aren't always real. We were in luck for dinner on our last night of vacation! The Bahn mi was FANTASTIC! We got takeout but we can't wait to come back again and try the Pho! Amazing spot that is clean, comfortable and well decorated. Staff are so helpful!

    What's left of summer roll.

We always get great service and food! The summer roll is my favorite of all. We did catering for Christmas dinner, the food was excellent and after 4 adults ate we still had a ton of food for next group. Price was excellent for all we got and food was delicious as always.

I got takeout from Saigon and it was a great experience overall!! We got two vermicelli noodle dishes and one stir fry noodle dish. The fish sauce that comes with the vermicelli noodles is delicious!! It was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The pork and the bbq chicken was flavorful and tender. The stir fry noodles dish was good, but not great. The restaurant provided hand sanitizer during pick up and was following Covid guidelines wearing masks and gloves. Highly recommend this restaurant when in the Chincoteagie area.

P6. Pho Beef Noodle Soup with Round Steak, Brisket, Meatballs, and Tendon

I ordered # P6. Pho Beef Noodle Soup with Round Steak, Brisket, Meatballs, and Tendon. It was a good portion with generous, quality cuts of meat. We also got the gỏi cuốn (A4. Soft Spring Rolls Shrimp and Pork) that was good although I think it was a lil overstuffed with noodles. A little less would be just as satisfying. My brother ordered the S2. Cholon Hot and Sour Soup. It didn't look like what I'd expect but the flavor was tasty... spicy and vinegary. He also got the B5. Barbeque Pork Vermicelli and Fried Egg Rolls and said it was solid. Overall I'd recommend giving this place a try. It satisfies the craving for Asian cuisine.

Hits all the right taste buds, clean atmosphere and friendly staff. I got the rice noodle stir fry with shrimp. Also had the jack fruit appetizer with pork and shrimp chips. The flavors were all over the place but meshed really well and had a lot of uniqueness to it. Give the place a try, good food!

Stopped in for dinner tonight with my girlfriend and son. They just say a LARGE party (10ish). We ordered Citrus beef skewers over vermicelli straws, Pork Fried Rice and BBQ pork with vermicelli. The food was good. Came out fast and was very flavorful! Would eat here again without a doubt. The service was only ok. Took the order of two parties that were sat after us. Would have been 4 stars.

Friendly waitstaff and lots of vegetarian options-- not easy to find on the island. The bahn mi sandwich was also very good.

We ordered takeout online which was a fairly easy process, although I wish the system would send you a receipt/confirmation or notify you when the order is ready. That said, all the food was boxed up and ready to go at the quoted time, and still plenty hot when we got it back to the house to enjoy. We ordered: - pepper steak - moo shu gai pan - beef and broccoli - chicken lo mein - orange peel beef - egg rolls - cream cheese wontons I didn't try all the dishes but my orange peel beef stood out as a highlight. It's not something you see on a lot of menus and I found the citrusy brightness was a great complement to the sweet and slightly spicy sauce. The beef was pleasantly chewy; not tough, not tender, but something in between that I enjoyed (but maybe not everyone would). The lo mein was savory and a generous portion. Egg rolls and wontons were ok. Not the stars of the show but certainly not bad. All told it was a nice change from seafood and a really solid American Asian takeout experience.

We don't expect exactly the same dishes and were not disappointed in freshness, quantity, and uniqueness. Viet Taste has its own, I believe, interpretation of some mainline traditional dishes and we found them delicious and interesting. Midweek lunch for two that included two appetizers and two main dishes with water to drink cost about $50. There was enough left over for another meal. Service - Good (3). Pleasant and effective. Timing on service was unpredictable. Appetizers served after mains for example. Diners who arrived long after us were served before us. Yes, it may be that dishes are delivered when ready, but there was no messaging about delays. Ambiance - (1) needs work. Overgrown plants, unkempt sidewalk in front, and a grimy restroom with no paper towels were signs that some maintenance was needed. The entire space has the potential to offer a much better experience given size and furnishings. See photo of bathroom light switch plate. Next time we may opt for takeout. Overall good and interesting food unique for Salisbury. I hope they upgrade the environment and successfully remain in business.

Our most recent visit demonstrates: Meal for two included the featured "Oh My God Roll." Upon serving wifey and I spontaneously exclaimed "Oh My God!" Its presentation was beautifully artistic. The unique combination of ingredients was amazing - each part such as salmon or shrimp offering well-defined unique flavor, yet the roll combination with other ingredients resulted in a collective flavor and mouth feel that was both satisfying yet leaving us wanting more. This is a dangerous combination for those seeking to minimize caloric intake. Sigh. Well, we tucked into the OMG roll before taking a photo so images presented only show a portion. Yes, the pieces are huge! It was tempting to devour a single piece in one bite, yet that is not our style. We carry a special pocket-knife for such situations to carve and share bite-sized pieces. If you wish, the kitchen can provide a sharp knife for this purpose. Note: Rice is an overlooked major contributor to a roll's success. In the case, it was delicately sweet with optimal (to us) chew that made it worth eating alone. Yum! Also - The Ginger House is exceptionally generous with wasabi and picked ginger condiments. Wow! Half the portions offered would have been more than sufficient for us. We hated to see anything wasted, even these items, so we took a lot home, but not everything. The OMG roll alone was sufficient for a normal meal, however we enthusiastically over-ordered by adding a Sexy roll, an order of House Lo Mein, and a Chirashi with salad and hot soup. Most of these added dishes were packaged to take away! With water to drink, the total bill was $94 plus tip. This was a reasonable price for us as with leftovers two of us enjoyed three meals each (6 total)! Results for others will vary of course. Hint: If dining in, order conservatively as you can always ask for more, or make a separate order for take away. The dining area was clean and service by Collean was pleasant and professional. I especially appreciated her constant smile and willingness to laugh genuinely at our corny jokes. The atmosphere is tastefully Asian influenced. Booth seat cushions were soft yet resilient, and the glass partitions offer some sense or privacy yet they did not offer exceptional sound deadening as details of nearby conversations were detectable. The restrooms were clean and free parking was ample in the strip mall lot. Overall, this seems a reliable place for family gatherings, business meetings, or even a date. The menu is sufficiently varied to accommodate vegetarians, and based on our questions the kitchen staff are capable magicians who enjoy experimentation and accommodating special requests. We'll be back.
