Hands down the best breakfast in Walla Walla. The hashbrowns are amazing - you can tell they see homemade. The biscuits and gravy had great flavor and the biscuits had a very slight crunch at the edges so the biscuit didn't end up getting soggy from the gravy. The eggs bene was as typical - I would have liked a bit more lemon in the sauce, but most restaurants don't do that correctly so I'm not taking off a lot for that. My husband thought the scramble was good but they either forgot the cheese or didn't add much. I thought they were a tad on the dry side. read more

This is a solid breakfast and a great value. We got a table right away and the service was quick. It didn't take long and our food was out. I decided to try the namesake bacon and eggs. Everything was cooked really well. A highlight for me was the wall of hot sauces to try. You could find any manner of flavor or heat to take your meal to the next level. Such a cool idea! The food is well made and tasty. The Sunday traffic is busy. Happily we arrived around 10am and the line got crazy at 11am. I think they take reservations so maybe plan ahead to wait or make reservations. We sat at the counter and watched the staff try to keep up with drink orders. The drinks were good. I ordered a custom omelette and extra cooked hash browns. I thought I ordered a pretty good omelette and the hash browns were crispy like I prefer them. My spouse had the chilaquiles with green instead or red sauce. He'd have preferred the chips cooked a bit in the sauce but everything was otherwise solid. Best buttermilk pancakes I have ever had. We added blueberries and it made them even better. While waiting to order I saw a huge stack of pancakes go by, so I knew I had to order a stack for my husband and I to share. We got a small stack of two and they were delicious. Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Served with real maple syrup. I may drive across the state just to have these again. We also ordered cocktails, bloody mary for me and a fresh squeezed Paloma for me. I love Bloody Marys and I love horseradish, but it had so much horseradish in it I couldn't drink it. The fresh Paloma was delicious. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich which was great for a breakfast sandwich. My husband had the huevos con chorizo and he enjoyed it. We were really looking forward to our meal because this is such a cute restaurant with a great atmosphere, and the food seemed promising. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. When our Eggs Benedict was brought to the table, our server mentioned that the eggs might be overcooked and asked us to let them know if there was an issue. Unfortunately, they weren't just slightly overcooked they were completely hard. We let our server know, and my husband waited while the dish was supposedly being remade. We expected a fresh plate of Eggs Benedict. Instead, they simply brought out two new poached eggs and expected us to place them on top of the original cold English muffin, ham, and hollandaise sauce. By that point, the rest of the meal was cold and soggy, making it far from enjoyable. While my husband waited for his food, I had already finished my French toast so we couldn't even eat together. To add to the disappointment, the blueberries served with my French toast were frozen rather than fresh, which was not what I expected. To make matters worse, we were still charged full price for the meal. We understand that mistakes happen, but replacing only the eggs instead of preparing a fresh dish, serving frozen fruit, and then charging full price for an unsatisfactory experience was very disappointing. It's a charming restaurant with potential, but based on this experience, the customer service and handling of the situation fell well below expectations. read more

Maybe I don't understand how restaurants work but if I see plenty of open seating and they still make you wait 20 minutes , it just doesn't sit well with me .Once seated the food took another 30 minutes to arrive and by this point I was pretty much bored of the wait . Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I had the Tuscan Eggs Benedict and I am still thinking about it several hours later, solid 10/10. I have tried all of their other Eggs Benedict's and this is by far my favorite. I also tried a new cocktail and deviated from my normal Bloody Mary; I ordered the Coconut Margarita, and it was incredible, my new favorite breakfast cocktail. Very happy with my meal today. Worst restaurant service ever experienced! No one took order or offered coffee or water after 20 min. Then flagged waitress who promised to bring coffee, which never came. At 30 minutes another waitress came to take order, which we gave, and reminded her about the coffee. 10 min later coffee arrived lukewarm. At 1hour, I complained to hostess, who promised to check on order but never came back. 5 minutes later we complained to another waitress who promised to check order but also never returned. 75 minutes after being seated, with no food or coffee refill we decided to leave. On a prior visit we also had bad service, and sub-par food. Yet before their relocation, we had many good meals here. This incredible level of ineptitude for a restaurant bodes poorly for their future. read more

My friends and I came to Bacon & Eggs on a busy Sunday morning. Despite the full restaurant, the food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding. To drink we had the green Bloody Mary (I believe it's made with tomatillos vs tomatoes) a Screwdriver, and a morning paper. All three were great, but the green Bloody Mary is a must try. For food, we ordered the chorizo con huevos, French toast and the breakfast sandwich. The food came out fast and hot. The chorizo was full of flavor and the French toast was perfectly fluffy. I still think about the chorizo, another must try. Our server was attentive and made us feel at home even with at least 7 other tables. We will be back as this is now our favorite breakfast spot in the Walla Walla valley. read more

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. There was no host, but the waitresses took turns telling me how long the wait was. What started as a 40 minute wait ended up being about an hour and 10 minutes. Half our party had to leave because it was taking so long. Once seated, it took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I was given the wrong thing initially but didn't say anything because I knew it was not worth it. Our water glasses were NOT FILLED A SINGLE TIME. My friend had to ask for a coffee refill TWICE. Nobody asked us how it was or if they could bring us anything else. My pancakes were a little tough, otherwise the food was okay. I am amazed how Bacon and Eggs stays in business when there are multiple other great breakfast places nearby like Maple Counter. Completely unacceptable experience and I would go out of my way to tell people not to go to Bacon and Eggs. read more

We went this morning with friends to Bacon & Eggs. We were seated quickly, which was a good start. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. After being seated, no one came to our table for about 30 minutes, not even to bring water or take a drink order. We finally had to flag someone down. Even then, we ended up ordering our coffee and juice with a different person, and it was very unclear who our server actually was. We were eventually able to place our food order, but after another 30 minutes, we still had not received any food. So after being seated for an hour, we only had drinks and no meal. One of my friends went to speak with a manager, who said she would check on it, but no one came back to update us. When the waitress finally stopped by, the only explanation was that they were backed up--said very casually,-- as if it wasn't a concern. My friend paid for the drinks, and we ended up leaving without eating. Unfortunately, this wasn't our first disappointing experience here, which is why I decided to write a review this time. read more

Was looking for a place for lunch up and down the street with not a lot of good options decided on this place because there was a lot of people sitting outside. It is a breakfast and lunch type of a place. We wanted to be seated inside and were given a booth that we wanted. They were nice. We got their menus and we ordered. so far Everything was OK. We got a glass of pink grapefruit juice, which was obviously freshly squeeze and delicious with thought we were in for a good start until my plate of bagel and smoked salmon arrived with the mention of hers was on its way. ( crab cake Benedict ) we waited for a bit and then they brought a ham eggs Benedict, which was wrong. Plus we asked for hollandaise to be on the side which it wasn't. They sent it back to the kitchen. We waited and waited. In the meantime my food is sitting in front of me and we're looking around to see all the staff having a great time talking to each other. Obviously, nobody in the kitchen has a clue that you don't send two plates out at different times to the table. We finally got the right plate, but by then the damage was done and we were ready pissed off because of the timing of the dishes, coming out separately and the mistake. Mediocre food and service. I was not greeted, just told to go inside when I tried to sit down in the outside patio area. My egg scramble, called a Mika, was of an uneven temperature throughout, none adequatedly warm. I was finished with my meal before the waitress brought ice for my room-temperature water. I was never asked if everything was okay or if I needed anything else. I was finished eating before I could have found anyone to ask for ketchup or salsa. I had just the eggs and not the included hasbrowns and tortillas, yet the price was not reduced. I was offered fruit, but that is no better for those of us monitoring insulin/carb levels. The hashbrowns were not your typical crispy brown on the outside type that I love. I have definitely had better eggs Benedict. My daughter order pancakes with bananas. We had to search for the bananas and realized they were cooked in the batter with no extra bananas on top. My husband ordered the Nutella French toast. They were not fried French toast. I think it was really thick brioche bread that may have been seared on the top and added Nutella. So the rest was just regular bread. The food was not awful it just wasn't anything special.
