I went for brunch. I appreciated how late brunch ran (until 4) and is able to accommodate late risers. The drinks were great I had a mimosa flight and a Moscow mule. Both were fantastic. Service was good. I had a sandwhich which was also great. My only complaint is that the menu doesn't say which options are sandwiches or burgers. As a result my friends and I were a little confused when our food came out. Also as a person with a dairy allergy I wish there were more Al la Carte options to mix and match what I could eat. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place! A Pittsburgh native, I missed these types of establishments in Morgantown. Very cool interior with a great selection of bourbons, beer, and great food. Servers are also great and they have outdoor seating when it is nice. Bourbon cocktails are all really good, I first tried a blueberry one that literally said "The cocktail if you want to try bourbon but are afraid" or something like that and it was really good and perfect for me (who doesn't drink a lot of bourbon). My boyfriend got an old fashioned and said it was great as well. We LOVE the fried Brussel sprouts and mac n cheese. I don't know what it is about their mac n cheese but it is some of the best I've had and I think our server told us they make the sauce in house. Highly recommend!! The fries and fried pickles are also very good. The B3 sandwhich is a family favorite. We tried the bacon flight and they were all good except we didn't really care for the chocolate covered one (just weird to us but may be personal preference). If I got the flight again I would get extra jalapeno cheddar or cajun flavored. Everything I've and others at my table have had here has been good. read more

Food was average, not really remarkable in any way. Decent beer selection. Restaurant was not really that busy, just an average Thursday night. The server got our orders wrong. We had to remove items from one dish and switch them to another, and items ordered were missing. Service was slow, and we were brought the wrong bill. When given the correct bill, I tipped 16%, by cash, and wrote "table" in the tip line. When I checked my credit card statement a few days later, $20 had been added to the bill. I attempted to call the restaurant about 6 times, and even left a voicemail, with no response. I eventually got through to a live person after about 10 attempts, and explained what happened to the manager. He asked if he could call me back after he talked to the owner. The owner, Shawn, called me back and explained it was a mistake, that the server got the check confused with another table. Somehow that doesn't add up, since I wrote "table" on the tip line. He did refund the $20 to my credit card, and apologized. It is my belief that they were caught committing credit card fraud, and anybody going to Bacon, Bourbon, and Beer should be wary of paying by credit card. read more

The pork belly appetizer was awesome... decadent, savory, large portions.. like perfectly cooked award winning ribs without having to mess around with bones. I deep fried pork pieces off the appetizer menu for my entree and added sides to it.... the sides were fries, onion rings, and Brussels sprouts! My hubby had the pork platter. The onion rings were crunchy and huge... the onion rings were cut wide, so the onion was barely soft... even though hot ... the coating was perfectly golden. The fries were a bit on the cooler side, maybe they had set under a heat lamp or plated prior to the rest of food was ready. The Brussels were awesome and so large of a portion that it had its own platter... perfectly savory and masterfully cooked! The fried pork was on point! A squeezed a lime on the treasured morsels and was in porky heaven yet again! My head was still spinning from the mind shattering pork belly!! My husband had succulent pulled pork with bbq sauce... so tender! He wished he asked for more of their yummy kimchi slaw in place of the greens, jalapeño cornbread, and fries... low carb diet. I tried the cornbread... AMAZING! A dense pillow of sweet, corny, deliciousness with a hint of jalapeño.... it was grilled one side, which added more texture and smokiness. Disappointed at how mediocre this place is since my friends raved about the PA location. Came in on a Saturday. It was game day and only about noon, so the place was pretty empty. Our server was nice but slow - once the food came we barely saw him even though there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant. The bartender saw us constantly looking around for him and she ended up refilling our drinks for us. My boyfriend and I both had the WBC burger - fries for me and mac & cheese for him. We both ordered our burgers pink (they only have two options: pink or no pink) but they both came out overcooked and dry. We had to ask for garlic aioli to make it decent. The bacon on the burgers were limp, absolutely no crunch at all to them. The sides, however, were great. My french fries were nice and crisp and fresh, and his mac & cheese was super gooey and bacon-y. I honestly don't know if I would give this place another chance. First time here...don't need to come back. Another review mentioned dirty glasses, etc. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt when things like that are mentioned in reviews, who knows, could have been a bad night, bad customer, whatever. But nope, as soon as we sat down the FIRST thing I noticed was food still suck to my water glass. We sat in a booth by the bar and I had a visual of glasses at the bar which were back lit by the bourbon selection. Those glasses were dirty and "foggy" as well. So the dinner did not start great, this should have been the sign. The utensils were also dirty and had to be wiped clean. The service was good, very patient with us on food and drink selections as this was our first visit. Very attentive, no issue there what so ever. The best thing we had all night was the bacon flight. 3 out of the 4 were delicious, perfect crisp on the bacon. The standout was the chocolate and bacon. I could eat that again and again, if I came back. I ordered the Mac and Cheese side as my main. Good sized, good taste, but it was mostly cold. You could tell it had been sitting for a bit because the deeper in the bowl I ate, the slightly warmer it became. My son ordered the Shrimp Diablo, which he mostly devoured before offering a taste. What I was able to taste, it was good. My brother ordered the brisket sandwich which he said was just OK, nothing special. My sister in law ordered the Strawberry Fields salad, which she said was good and it did look delicious. We also ordered the stuffed jalapeños which were served cold. They were bad, like real bad. So food wise it was overall fine, not great. Nothing I would ever NEED to go back for, even the chocolate bacon which was by far the best bite of the night. There is potential here, but needs attention to the basics and details. With tip, my check was $71. That included an Old Fashioned. But afterward, it was one of those dinners were you say to yourself, "what did I just spend $71 on??" Food wise it was 3 stars, maybe, but the dirty glasses and utensils are zero stars. read more

They had me at the name. Who the heck doesn't love bourbon, bacon and beer? Unfortunately, my spidey sense was already ringing bells when we walked in and the joint reeked of over-cooked Brussels sprouts. Not exactly a welcoming smell ... and I love Brussels sprouts. The place was about 1/3 full in the post-lunch hour. The high top we sat at was fine, albeit tight for the space provided. The water glasses were filthy and props to waitress for noticing and bringing clean ones. We placed an order for two beers and an appetizer. The bourbon menu had some good choices, if you don't mind holding grossly filthy a menu. The waitress came back ten minutes later to get our food order, but still no beers. We said we'd wait ... code for let us enjoy a drink and appetizer before we decide what's next. After waiting another ten minutes, it was clear the service here is as top notch as the attention to cleaning. Tip to the owner: clean your windows, get some textiles and decor to absorb bar noise and train your staff. If this is what to expect during a non-peak hour, I shudder to think how bad you are when you are busy. Bottom line: good concept, woefully pathetic execution. read more

Went while visiting Morgantown and the first meal was excellent. The highest order of pub food; hardy, rich, very high-quality ingredients and ample quantity. Was so pleased, went back the next night. Chose the risky entree - pork chop in a bar - but was blown away by the meal. Perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, sweet, two-and-half-inch-thick, two-rib pork chop expertly grilled with cross-hatch grill marks on the outsides. A little bit of salt and pepper dressed the meat to my taste. A side of asparagus was perfectly sautéed. Fries from another plate were perfect in taste and texture. Wait staff was exceptional, keeping us informed of the chop's status as it took a little longer than a burger or brisket sandwich.Highly recommend this place. B3 is a great place to eat! read more
