Awesome food, excellent brews, and fast, friendly service. I asked them if they could turn their Clara Belle Italian Hoagie into a salad instead and they said, "Sure!" Turned out to be one of the best salads I've ever had! A meal in itself. Pay Mountain Mama's a visit; you won't regret it.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to Canada and were pleasantly surprised. Form the service to the food it was great. It was quiet when we came but everyone is super friendly and attentive.

If you find yourself in Morgantown WV, head this brew pub down by the river is slinging up some good pizzas and an excellent wheat beer (I forget the name). It's an unwritten rule that If a brew-pub has a pizza oven, get pizza! We did 3 small pizza's for 4 people and it worked out well. The pizza is good, not great. The crust is spot on but they could use some work on their Margherita for sure. The lemon pepper was unique and towards the end, was a bit salty. The meat lovers was pretty great with a sweet BBQ sauce on it. Service was good, not great as we found ourselves needing more beers, waters, lemonades, etc. And there were no spatulas for getting the pizza off the tray, it was just "West Virginia" style, where you rip it apart with your hands and take what you touched. Dessert options weren't that great. The banana pudding tasted chemically like it was out of a box, and not even the Jell-o brand... probably Royal or Great Value. It tasted like chemicals and despair. The "Nilla" wafers on top were also from the bargain bin. Sad... The other option was a S'mores pizza which had a Nutella base... uhhhh, there's no Nutella in S'mores! Is this Kobe's recipe? I'd probably go back and maybe try a build your own pizza or some other stuff too. Some wings in the hot oven would be good, but they didn't have on the menu... bummer.

Good place to stop with our dog (have to stay on the back patio but it is well covered). The pizza/flatbread was ok, but the crust seemed to be of the premade variety and there wasn't a lot of "wood fired" flavor as I would have expected. Service was okay. All in all it was kind of average, but if you are looking for a dog spot it is worth it.

I found the Star City location (not Clay St) closer to where I was staying. I got the Pulled Pork sandwich which was tender but a bit dry, the side of BBq sauce helped. I tried two beers, Bewildered Hippie and Almost Heaven - both were very good. Service at the bar was quick.

Regrettably I am going to have to give this place my first one star review. I ordered chicken wings and they were served very underdone to the point they were still raw. At that point I had lost my appetite and really didn't want to eat anything. This is a serious issue of health and food safety and I really expect more. I will give it one star because at least they removed it from my bill. Still, I think it will be a while before I eat here again. I was very disappointed. As much as I hate to leave a bad review, I can't overlook an issue of customer health and safety.

I love this place. Been to the one in Bridgeport too. Great pizza, love the Buffalo dip appetizer, they typically carry an on tap cider. Great local beers on tap too. Good selections for kids. Nice friendly vibe inside.

Solid beer selection. The Cold Trail Blonde was really good, also enjoyed the Miners Daughter Oatmeal Stout. Wood-fired brick oven pizza is tough to beat anywhere.

We arrived to a somewhat busy restaurant, with a few open tables, and some large groups (I think it was a Saturday night). We were told by the host there was about a 10 minute wait, although we weren't sat for 35 minutes, with no updates or apologies for the delay -- oh well. It was mostly young people working there, so I decided to let it go. We got the dip sampler for an appetizer. I was worried that it would be super small servings of dip, but it was actually generous enough that we had to take leftovers home! We enjoyed the spinach artichoke, garlic hummus, and buffalo chicken dips. We were sat right next to the wood fire pizza station, which was great because I'm always cold and the fire kept me warm, lol. It was fun to be able to see the process. The pizza was yummy and huge. The only feedback I'd say-- we got the white sauce steak pizza, and there was hardly any steak on it. Still tasted yummy though. Overall the service was nice enough, and I may consider coming back.

    Banana Pudding (trigger warning)

Im gonna get right to it . Hummus AMAZING, Spinach Dip, Delicious ! , both Pies were tasty . The service was 'good' , until it wasn't (more on that later) . The environment felt nice and warm . And then we ordered dessert ... a mistake that will live in infamy People of Yelp , (and West Virginia) lend me your ears. Close your eyes , and imagine if you will Banana Pudding (the dessert) however it is familiar in your mind . Now imagine it WITHOUT bananas , vanilla extract , condensed milk and the wafers being layered into the custard to make that delicious amalgamation of cakey pudding . So , much to my entire table's shock, when a 4 ounce fruit dish filled with a snackpack banana flavored pudding and 2 hard decorative vanilla wafers placed into it; topped with canned whipped cream that melted before I could even take a picture was delivered, we were gobsmacked . Needless to say we had a good laugh (the only other options were anger, or tears of sadness. We chose laughter) . The menu description of this culinary conflict includes words like "Homemade , and better than your Nana's Banana Pudding" . Unless your Nana has been institutionalized, (mental or prison) and if by "Home" made they mean a Nursing Home , a hospice even, then you are in for a treat . If not , it is important for you to know that the cookies in banana pudding are apart of the ingredients and not just for decoration . My wife , brother in law , his wife , and father in law all had a great time laughing at my quips about this pudding . However, our banter came at a cost . We were near the bar , we believe perhaps someone heard us having fun with dessert because our waitress's mood and cordiality completely flipped when she reappeared . She was short, cold, didn't ask if we would like anything more , avoided all eye contact. My father in law asked for the bill, paid and told her to keep the change . If that had anything to do with the lack of service we received towards the end, I want to personally apologize to Mariah (our waitress) . I will NOT however, apologize for making lighthearted humor out of the absolute worst banana pudding I have ever had in my life . If you get this dessert and find my review too late , you may be entitled to a settlement . Message me your cash app and I will reimburse you . You don't deserve this pain and trauma . The P in PTSD is now for Pudding Traumatic Stress Disorder. I may never order it anywhere again . If not for that , this review is easily a 4 star . So credit where it is due in the spirit of objectivity. Be safe out there.

Good food, drinks and service. Great place for a date, or the entire family. Cold Trail Ale is a refreshing beer choice.

Really good salads and sandwiches. Prices are excellent for what you get. We took our dogs and sat on the patio. Service was great.

However, we realized…read morethere was going to be some interesting developments when the server came by and he seemed a little nervous, but that's understandable. In any case we placed our orders, I ordered the breakfast platter special, which was fried chicken and biscuits with country sausage gravy my wife ordered the eggs Benedict my daughter for her birthday ordered the French toast with two eggs and my son ordered the chicken and waffles. Talking first about the chicken and waffles. I've come to see that many locations offer chicken and waffles. This being about average for what I would consider chicken and waffles as it was a small filet cut in a half upon a very thin flat waffle, which would've done better to be a Belgian waffle with a much fluffier plump chicken filet. My son did enjoy it but when he finished it the server came by and he says did you enjoy that? Was it good, it must've been good because you ate everything! Then let's discuss my wife's eggs Benedict, which she thoroughly loved. However, the ham looked like it was sliced deli ham for a sandwich instead of Canadian bacon or a little thicker slice of country ham. It's not my call, as my wife said she enjoyed it. My daughter enjoyed her stuffed French toast and egg. Everything was cooked to her liking and she said it had a good flavor and of all four dishes that certainly was the best of the four. as for the last dish, my Sriracha sausage gravy, fried chicken and biscuit with home fries, the jury is still out as the home fries came out a little overdone and cold. The sausage gravy looks like somebody spread it on with a paintbrush, and it wasn't very warm. The chicken was warm and did taste good and the biscuit was good, but it made no sense when the server said, it comes smothered in sausage gravy. Take a look at the picture, and it looks more like a couple tablespoons of gravy on each biscuit with the chicken. We did have a good time and the ambience of the place was very nice, especially seated along the windows looking at the snow outside and perhaps we'll give it another shot at a later date. Overall, nothing over the top but nothing to make us fear coming back either. It was just kind of middle of the road, but I am glad that the nicest dish and the best presentation went to my daughter for her 20th birthday. At least that was a saving grace as well as the lunch with the movie, listening to the various antics and chatter coming from the server.
