Stopped by Bacon Social House for brunch and had a really good experience overall. We tried the eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham, the carnitas eggs Benedict, a bacon flight, an espresso martini, and an Irish coffee. The regular eggs Benedict was good, although it was a little on the plain side for my taste. The fries were crispy and definitely a highlight. The carnitas Benedict was my favorite meal. The melted cheese added a lot of flavor and made the dish really satisfying. The bacon flight was a fun way to try a few different flavors. My favorites were the French toast, BBQ, and chili lime. Both the espresso martini and Irish coffee were solid and paired well with brunch. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Loved everything about it! We arrived right at opening time on a Sunday before driving out of town, so zero wait time. Groovy room, great staff and BACON! We did a flight of 3, and the only comment is to make sure to request crispy if that is your preference. Our entrees were way yummy. My Shrimp And Don't Call It Grits was a really generous serving. Tried the pistachio cocktail (pistache mustache), bacon hash, bourbon baller french toast, & a gluten free berries & cream pancake. The bacon hash has a copious amount of chunky bacon in this dish, more so than the other ingredients so if you love bacon then you'll love this dish! We were a big group of 11 and came here for a brunch one weekend, celebrating my friend's bachelorette. We made a reservation well in advance. Parking was really easy in the residential neighborhood. Big space inside and lots of seating! Given the name of the restaurant, I felt obligated to order some bacon. They have a bacon flight where you can choose either 3 or all 6 bacon flavors. It's $8. We went with 3 and chose applewood, BBQ, and chili lime. The had sweet flavors too but that interested me less. It comes with scissors which is genius for sharing. I liked all three but I prefer bacon to be slightly crispier, these were a little chewy. But still good. I liked the BBQ and the chili lime over the applewood which tasted pretty standard and plain. I also ordered the avocado toast for my main meal. I asked for it with poached eggs instead of scrambled. It was oooookay but I think I'm a little spoiled bc I'm from LA and we have lots of amazing avocado toasts there. Solid B if I were to grade it. The Eggs Benedict was pretty bad. The English muffin was toasted but somehow also cold and dry. The hollandaise was mediocre and had a bit of a weird sweetness to it I can't figure out. The bacon potato ball item on the side was very good but they really need to tone down the salt and when I say that, it means a lot because I put salt on pizza... A bit of a bummer they don't have lattes. Being completely honest there are a lot of places I would choose over this for brunch in Denver so I probably won't be back. BSH is a must visit for bacon lovers! Our friend took us to his favorite breakfast spot and I can see why. Their breakfast portions are huge, but the main attraction is their bacon. We ordered a flight of bacon (comes with 6 different flavors) and the baller bacon (thick cut of bacon, my favorite). The bacons were crispy, salty, sweet, and savory, we couldn't get enough. However our hearts told a different story. We also ordered their other breakfast items like the chicken and waffles and the miners breakfast. Came here on a Sunday with my boyfriend who made a reservation a few days before. We were very early and were seated no problem. I love that some of the seats face the TV, and you are both sitting on the same side. They have lots of interesting seating and a second story as well. We started with the mimosa's and bacon flight. AMAZING! I can't believe this is the first bacon flight that I have had. I got a meal after but honestly I was so full I should have just gotten one more side. Also the bacon tots are to die for!! Wow I'm glad my friends found this spot for brunch. We were a party of 10 so had an hour wait at noon but it was worth it and we were able to walk on the street and check out nearby/local shops. They also let us order drinks from the bar early too. We sat on the patio but luckily it wasn't too cold. Sun was high and bright and we could not open an umbrella. We had a bunch of the bloody options- I got the red eye flight (gin, regular, and spicy). They were very tasty and strong! Also came with tons of garnishes (peppers, bacon etc). Even if you don't want a heavy meal, try the bacon flight to make sure you can at least sample some of their namesake meat. We split the six-strip flight, and it was a great way to taste the unique flavors they offer, ranging from French Toast bacon to barbecue bacon, and further still to chili lime bacon. First off would like to say the establishment is not meant for large parties. We came early on a Saturday without a reservation and even a party of 6 was an hr wait. We had to split our party into 4 and 2-top to be sat within 10 min. Otherwise the staff was nice, polite and attempted to accommodate us as much as possible, so we definitely saw the effort. They have an outdoor patio with shaded umbrella coverage which felt amazing. Service is outstanding and our waitress was always available and always attentive and making sure our orders were in and correct, without feeling overbearing. For drinks we ordered 2 Bloody Mary (country road and ring of fire), and 2 flavored lattes. If you like spicy peppery drinks then the ring of fire is the way to go-- comes with pickled jalapeños and habanero along with chicharonnes. Then for appetizer we got the 6 bacon flight with the baller substitute for the applewood smoked bacon. My ranking was such: 1. BBQ - good mesquite flavors with great crisp 2. Chili lime- lime flavoring was a bit faint 3. Sriracha rub (special) 4. French toast 5. Baller- bit too thick of a cut for bacon, made it chewy 6. Candied- a little too sweet for me. Churro French toast 5/5 amazing texture and glaze was so good and sweet. Carnitas Benedict 3.5/5 was on bacon cheddar biscuit and served with bacon cheddar tots. Tots were a bit underwhelming and tasted more like croquettes. Very heavy dish. Bacon hash 3/5 wasn't my favorite and a bit lackluster in flavor. Huevos rancheros 3.5/5. The chilaquiles chips were more like tortilla chips and became so soggy with all the guacamole, pork green chile and pico. I had to try to eat it as fast as I could. Came to Denver for a wedding and this was on the list of the bride's recommendations for places to eat. At around 10 AM, we were told that a table of 6 would be over an hour wait even though there were visibly a lot of vacant tables but the hostess told us they were all reserved. The vibes here are pretty cool. There's a corn hole that you can play with while you wait and there's lots of seating, both patio & inside (which is also open to the patio seating and allows for you to enjoy the nice breeze still). The portions here are very generous. The churro french toast was more of a churro consistency with a nice little crisp and the caramel sauce on the side paired well and enhanced the flavor. The huevos rancheros were essentially like loaded nachos and it didn't take long for the fried tortillas at the bottom of the dish to get mushy. The carnitas Benedict was so incredibly heavy oh my word. The bacon tots it came with didn't have much of a bacon flavor and tasted just like hush puppies so a little disappointed in that. The bacon cheddar biscuits on the bottom, similarly to the huevos rancheros, became hard as time passed during the meal and were eventually hard to eat. Nothing too incredibly special about the bacon hash, it was a tad on the salty side. Bacon flight was pretty good although some of the flavors were very mild (to the point where you didn't quite know what flavor was what) and I do wish the bacon itself was crispier. read more
