This is a must do! My son and I had a wonderful time. And it really is an arm, back and core work out. We saw many large party groups. The instructor was thorough in explaining. It's a safe environment. Food is allowed on premises. Small parking lot but we found a few open spots at 6:30pm. Enjoy!

After brunch I decided to introduce my friends to this place. It's a great stress reliever. The business is located in a building shared by other businesses. There is private parking, however, limited. Street parking is also available. We were greeted by coach Robby! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us some tricks which was nice. Of course, safety first. Each participant do have to sign a waiver and they provide a QR code. You can make reservations or have walk-in. Pls check the websites for times. This place is great for small or big groups. However, you definitely have to call to save your spots. ENJOY! I know we did and we will be back. Thanks to the coaches!

The two of us swung by for a birthday activity and arrived right around noon on a Saturday. It was just us there at first and we had Aaron as our coach. Aaron absolutely made the experience for us! He was very patient, kind, and fun, and gave extremely helpful tips. It took me a while to get a hang of the motion and he spent about 15 minutes giving me pointers and adjustments to help me catch on since we were the only group there at the time. The vibe inside is very cool too and conducive to a fun time. It's nice that you're allowed to bring food inside because we were able to eat then throw. They also have whiteboards so you can keep score with your group which added a nice competitive edge to the day. Highly recommend you swing by for a fun time!

I took a date there last night, and I have to say it was a great date! As we got there we were a bit confused as to where it was at but once you see the signs it was pretty easy to find. As we walked in we got greeted and he had us sign a waiver and rightfully so. From there the fun began! He asked us if we needed a refresher instruction as I was a little rusty. I discovered that it's like riding a bike lol! I would definitely recommend especially for a fun and unique date!

This is my underhand( this was not easy for me) Left right after this to keep the good feeling going

Giving this 5 stars! But before I begin; For those who might visit at night- yes the entrance is right next to the kung fu studio. You'll need to walk all the way in and follow the signs on the walls before you reach Bad Axe Throwing. My partner and I were a little lost when we arrived lol street parking only & is typically available. Anywho- thanks for the experience! Ray helped us check in, register & provided some tips on safety & how to throw the axe in various ways. The humor and hospitality on Ray I don't remember the two other hosts but they'd stop by during our sessions every now again to check in & readjust our form of throwing for success. When I tell you they're detailed & want to you to land a good throw, they'll make sure of it! My take on this- don't over think it & you'll do well. There was many bad axe throwing in our station, but after 15-20 minutes in we were pros

Came here for a date and had so much fun! This was my first time axe throwing and I was a bit nervous going into it. The employee helped explain different throwing techniques and safety measures, which helped put me more at ease. The axe throwing itself was super fun--I feel like it's a good sport to try out and easy to learn. They also had some ideas for games that we could play to make it a little more interesting. I would definitely come back here sometime!!

Axe throwing in a big warehouse in the middle of nowhere in Daly City, what could wrong? Haha. Fun place, bare-bones decent setup, the staff were nice and attentive. We had the whole place to ourselves since it was mid-week and so they allowed us to practice on multiple stalls since they were empty before we played a little competition. Slots are usually 1.5 hours but they allowed us to book 2 hours. This place doesn't have any food or drink at all, not even a vending machine. They allow you to bring in snacks, but no byob, which was kind of disappointing. I've never been to an axe throwing place without a liquor license! (albeit in other cities) You'd think they would want you to drink while throwing sharp objects. Worth a visit, but plan ahead to feed your group if you are going with one!

Super fun throwing axes with the fam, friends, date night, or kids bday party! Yes I was brave enough to take my 13 year old son and his buddies to axe throw for his bday and they had a great time! Its a great fun thing to do because kids can be just as good as adults. Generational fun, everyone will enjoy. Go do it! Some things to note - Dress warm in layers in the winter as its a warehouse open space with high ceilings and gets cold. Bring snacks and drinks with you as they have nothing there.

    How is the parking situation?

Plenty of street parking on the same street!

There isn't an axe throwing location in SF so when I found out Split The Wood is a mobile axe throwing company that can set up anytime at any venue, I immediately hired them for our happy hour during our team offsite and it was a hit! The Split The Wood team was very prompt and clear with communication and Derek answered all of my questions prior to booking them. Derek even had suggestions on where we can set this up. On the day of our event, they arrived early to set up the cage at the venue. They gave safety instructions and tips on how to throw an axe. Everything was super safe and enclosed in a cage so there were no accidents. Derek and his team are professional, on time, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. I would definitely hire them again for another event! Again, they can set up at any venue. If there isn't space inside your venue, they offer a wheels package too! Check them out for your next party, wedding, birthday, happy hour, holiday party, or just for fun!!!

They smoke their turkey in house apparently, and you definitely got that smokey flavor from it. I ordered a Caesar Salad too as the side and it was delicious. Minus a star because our waiter kept forgetting things, whether it was one or two sets of utensils, one or two waters, one or two straws, he kept having to come back and forth from the kitchen which is kind of a far walk in the establishment (on opposite ends from our table, really). Also I would've appreciated if they had mentioned to us to book the games in advanced before it became all sold out. This review is about the food. OMG. What a pleasant surprise! You expect "okay" food - this was WAY better than OK. This was fantastic. I had the ahi fish tacos - a must order. Light and airy shell with a tasty ahi mix insert. Could very well be the best fish taco I've had - it's not your traditional "here's some tuna and cabbage in a corn tortilla" taco and that's a great thing. It's unique and amazing. Our friends split a pizza and salad and raved about how perfect the pizza was. They wanted a crispy crust and got what they wanted. My wife ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer in her crafty way to embellish her beef hamburger with bacon. She asked medium rare. She got medium rare. Very enjoyable. Our service was beyond great. It wasn't super busy and often the staff gets distracted when it's not busy - in this case our service was perfect. Da Boccery ambiance is obviously linked to all the entertainment that's there but the tables are nicely separated from the courts and simulators, and even during bocce or the simulator, there are comfortable couches and tables if you want to eat there - we did drinks there, then ate in the more "restaurant" area of the place. We will absolutely be going there just for the food and that says a lot.

One gripe I have is that I wish the workers were a bit more attentive. We went on Monday and there wasn't anyone at the front desk for maybe 10minutes. They didn't have us watch the safety/instructional video which normally plays on a loop at the front of the pit gate. We had two double karts because our kids are young and we were put in a race with multiple other adults. The employees in the pit were good, one was a young lady who seemed new and a young man who obviously had much more experience. I'm on the shorter side and he recognized I needed the pedals adjusted and a booster seat. He also rechecked all our belts because the girl didn't put them on tight enough. So during our race we had to go slowly for the first lap, but then it was on! Unfortunately, I had to go slow because my daughter is small and apprehensive about the whole experience. I'm sure we were a hindrance for the faster racers, but most were very respectful and drove around us. One person in particular (an older black man who uses the name "007 Speed") hit me into the barrier 3 times and hit my husband and son's kart at least twice. He hit us with such force both of my kids have been complaining of neck pain. I told the experienced male employee but no consequences for Mr. 007 Speed even though each time he hit us they overhead announced, "No hitting other drivers or barriers. Next time you will be out of the race." When the race was done Mr. 007 Speed never acknowledged what he did or apologized. As we were leaving we saw him complaining at the front desk. So overall, I really like this place. It's geared for children and families, but definitely for anyone who wants to have fun. It would be ideal if they grouped drivers separately like they do for junior racers. Group adult racers with ones who have children/want a chill experience and a group for retirees trying to relive their glory days
