California Burrito
Ricardo M.

Food (4/5): I ordered a California burrito and a shrimp bowl. The burrito was pretty big with it being packed with ingredients. I was definitely in a food coma after eating one with how full I was. Both the burrito and the bowl were great. You can either choose the burrito/bowl how they are listed or customize it to how you want it.

Tacos and green sauce

We Door Dashed the breakfast taco box and the tacos were amazing! The green sauce that came with the order was so good it nearly caused a fight, lol! This was our first time ordering from Bad Azz Burrito, but it will definitely not be our last! ¡Los tacos son riquísimos!

The dozen tacos may seem like a lot however we scarf those things down. They were so delicious and flavorful.! Service was timely and attentive The ambiance was good. TVs are playing in the background, not too loud. Bathrooms, clean fully stocked with soap and other necessities

Great hole in the wall spot near Blue Mound and Saginaw. You definitely get your moneys worth. I was STUFFED and couldn't finish it!

Phat burrito with hardly any cheese, bacon, sausage or potatoes.

I finally got to Bad Azz Burrito to try their phat burrito. I've been looking forward to it and unfortunately I was very disappointed. It was quite big but truly was 95% egg. Hardly any cheese, bacon, sausage or potatoes. Not sure if I'll give them another chance.

How many times I tried to call and they just hung up on me every time.
Gregory D.

EDITED at to add they also gave me food poisoning!!! When trying to call in a takeout order, the staff picks up and hang up immediately. It's happened many times before and I've had the staff tell me that they just don't want to make anymore orders. To be completely clear, this isn't during some rush, it's when their restaurant is completely empty. They are just ignoring business and if I was the owner I'd be pissed. The owners were informed 7 months ago and the problem persists. Good food, but literally the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

Phat Azz Breakfast Burrito! Best Breakfast Burrito I have found in all of DFW!
Martin D.

I stumbled on this place today completely by accident. I was heading to Fuel City next door and the name caught my attention. I was also in the mood for a Breakfast Burrito, but being from New Mexico I will tell you that nobody in DFW makes a good breakfast burrito. They have a ton of options it looked like on the menu, but my heart was set on breakfast. I went with the Phat Azz Breakfast Burrito which has Eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon and hashbrowns. Only thing I would add is Hatch Green chile if possible but thats the New Mexican in me talking! This burro was really good! It was fat and filling too. Definitely give them a try I rate 5 stars all the way!

Me and my son decided to give this place a try today for lunch. We waited a few minutes in the drive thru which is expected since it was lunch time. We pull up the man was very friendly and took our orders. We both ordered a Carne Asada burrito in a flour tortilla and a Large Drink. They have many options of tortillas and toppings etc. I have to say that I am very pleased. The price was reasonable, great flavor and good quality ingredients. Way better than Chipotle which we frequent quite often. This will be our new favorite spot. The price on the outside drive thru sign isn't accurate but maybe they just haven't had the time to update it. A Regular burrito was $9.24, a large drink was $2.50 and guacamole was a $2.50 up charge as well. I told the man it was our first time visiting and he said that inside you actually build your own burrito. I am looking forward to going inside and checking it out the next time we visit. I love supporting small businesses and we will definitely be back!

UberEats order receipt, apparently no one cares to read.

I ordered from one of apparently many of BAB's ghost kitchens "HuevoRito." I didn't realize it was a ghost kitchen at the time, and it really has no bearing on my order. I was just happy to find a place to order breakfast that had an option to substitute egg whites right on the menu. I have an ALLERGY, so egg whites were important! UberEats even did that thing on the order receipt for the restaurant that says "this is a complex order" so they double check it... but I still got regular eggs, yellow as the sun, so my burrito was inedible. I also ordered churro bites, and received a package of store bought cookies instead, with no explanation. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager (I know, I know) just to caution them to use this as a teaching moment for their staff, that egg whites are important in the event of an allergy. After calling 4 times and being hung up, I finally got through. Then the employee tells me "there is no manager" so here I am, beating my allergy warrior drum. I'll give props for a large size burrito, tender tortilla, and good salsa. The potato was nothing to write home about, and the sausage was cheap "links" in huge chunks that weren't good in a burrito.

A standing chile relleno burrito so good as usual

We started with the scone, it was alright- edges a made it seem a little dry but the middle was cooked perfect. Flavor was alright- wouldn't order it again though. I had the garden bowl which the veggies were in seasoned and flavorless- making it only edible when adding cholula. 2/5 The breakfast burrito with mushroom and green chili sauce was my fav! 5/5 for me. chiliquillies were good, layered like a lasagna, tortillas were a little soggy but the added tortilla strips on top gave it the texture it needed this one was a 4/5 for me. the basil lemonade and seasonal watermelon mojito were both very refreshing and 5/5! Would love to see one of these pop up in the austin area and would definitely go back if i'm ever near one again.

I ordered the wood-smoked salmon, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The presentation was very plain, the portion size was small, and the salmon itself was quite bland. I think the dish would really benefit from more seasoning and at least one additional side. For the price, I expected a larger portion and much more flavor. On a positive note, the drinks and appetizers were delicious and definitely the highlight of our meal. While the service was excellent, I hope the restaurant considers improving the flavor and value of the salmon entrée.

Turkey served on Sunday. Depending on their mood they change the Chicken. Normally it's on Saturdays. Sometimes Fridays and was Thursdays I think. Moving forward I'll call ahead to confirm. Today of course they didn't have the chicken in dressing. They were offering southern style pork chops in gravy. I inquired about it and was told it was pork chops with brown gravy and cooked with onions and bell peppers...sounded delicious. I imagined slow cooked pork chops in a brown gravy, with onions and bell peppers. What arrived was slop. Fried porked chops smothered (drenched) in a super thick dark "jar" gravy with grilled onions and bell peppers. It was horrible in preparation and taste. The Mac in cheese was cooked to mush. We came here a month ago and learned that the restaurant was closed for a huge party. In fact all their locations were closed for a huge party. No biggie except this manager indicated we should have known as it had been posted for weeks.....posted where? The manager indicated this was the first complaint she's had in 5 years? That in itself irked me..... I love everything about Blue Mound, from its origin story of how the restaurant came to be and its charming story around the owners. Normally, love the food as seen by previous reviews but the Restaurant needs to see consistency...especially with its daily specials and its Main Manager shouldn't minimize concerns...

However, this restaurant charges a service fee for the use of a debit card. After doing some research, I have found and I quote, " Texas law prohibits debit‑card surcharges Texas Business & Commerce Code 604A bans a business from adding a fee because you used a debit card." Visa, Mastercard, and Discover all prohibit surcharges on any debit transaction -- even if the restaurant runs it as "credit." So even if Texas didn't ban it, the restaurant would still be violating its merchant agreement.
