First off, 5 stars to our service from Kristian. What a phenomenal waiter. He was so kind, patient, attentive, and friendly. Kristian actually added to the dining experience. We asked lots of questions and he expertly answered them all. We dined on Sunday morning with another couple. I'm glad they take reservations, because this place is packed on the weekend. Another thing that I appreciate is that they offer coffee ice cubes with cold brew drinks! My delish lavendar cold brew did not get watered down since actual frozen coffee cubes were melting in it. The hubby's hot black coffee was also nice & strong as coffee should be. My blue corn huevos rancheros with plant based chorizo and a side of hasbrowns were some of the best huevos rancheros I've had in DFW. My only complaint is that my plant based chorizo was not the best. No worries, because the rest of my dish and the green and red house made salsas were delicious. The hubby had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns. Of course, I sampled and agreed that it was a great dish. This was our second time here. I do miss the tamale benedict I had the first time I was here, but there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. Next time, I'll have to try the amazing looking pancakes and a cocktail or two. Stopped in for brunch on our way through town. Our waitress was great, orders came out right, waters stayed filled, check ins were right on time and suggestions/descriptions were spot on! We started with the scone, it was alright- edges a made it seem a little dry but the middle was cooked perfect. Flavor was alright- wouldn't order it again though. I had the garden bowl which the veggies were in seasoned and flavorless- making it only edible when adding cholula. 2/5 The breakfast burrito with mushroom and green chili sauce was my fav! 5/5 for me. chiliquillies were good, layered like a lasagna, tortillas were a little soggy but the added tortilla strips on top gave it the texture it needed this one was a 4/5 for me. the basil lemonade and seasonal watermelon mojito were both very refreshing and 5/5! This was my first time here but definitely not my last. We had a wonderful server Kristian and he answered all of our questions and helped make recommendations. I got their hurchata latte, watermelon mijito and to eat their salmon Benedict w/ hashbrowns. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty! Their Plant based chorizo is amazing! It is so good I had to make sure it wasn't real meat! My husband got a cappuccino and the biscuits and gravy and enjoyed the gravy had meat not just sauce. We both appreciated how well flavored everything was. Can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu. When it's cooler would love to sit on the patio and and at night get a drink from their outside bar. Also love that they have herbs growing outside!! Such a cute place. I had never heard of urban egg so we decided to give it a shot. Luckily it has a lot of tables because it was pretty busy, but we only waited a few minutes for a table on a Saturday. It appears to be a slightly upscale breakfast and lunch restaurant. We found out it was started in Colorado. The dining room was very clean and they have quite a few tables outside, on the patio as well. I had the shrimp and grits, which was pretty amazing. It seemed like a small portion at first, but it filled me up. Great flavors and the grits were cooked perfectly. I also ordered a biscuit and it was obviously homemade but it wasn't the best biscuit I've ever had. My wife really liked the tamale Benedict. I took a bite and it was good. The staff is attentive, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The urchata is a mix between chocolate milk and horchata, a delightful way to start the morning. The cure, while not my favorite, was a nice refreshing drink made with orange, vanilla, coconut water, and pineapple. The steak and eggs were very good, served with sautéed mushrooms that really elevated the dish along with the roasted espresso butter. What a Saturday, We enjoyed our usual brunch date with baby big back and myself. We were wondering where this place was. but it was really close to our 20min or less mornings in Alliance. Of course we had to go shopping afterwards...since shopping was close. Urban Egg, operated by a Colorado-based restaurant group, offers a bright and inviting atmosphere with a modern design based on white and yellow tones, filled with gentle natural light that makes for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, this place doesn't serve my favorite -- Salmon Benedict -- which is typically found at most breakfast spots. However, they offer a unique item Tuscan Benny. The combination of prosciutto and balsamic sauce unexpectedly complemented the hollandaise sauce, and it turned out to be delicious. The Stuffed French Toast is much larger than it looks in photos -- definitely too much for one person to finish. That said, the cream cheese filling is not overly sweet, and the brioche is soft and fluffy, striking a perfect balance. This one is a definite must-try. The staff were all kind and friendly. If I had to mention one downside, I'd recommend avoiding the seats near the door leading to the patio. Every time the door closes, it slams loudly, and the gusts of wind will mess up your hair. This place was packed, but they were able to see us quickly. We did not have to wait at all. Everyone was super friendly from when you first enter to the servers and the place is really clean and there's also an outdoor area you can sit to eat. I ended up getting biscuits with gravy and the appetizer was bacon. It was a thick almost caramelized bacon, and it was delicious. I tried to my friends pancakes and those were so good. The iced coffee was so flavorful. I wished it was a little bit stronger on the coffee, but it was delicious!! Parking is a bit of a pain there's not much we circled a few times. My family and I went to Brunch at Urban Egg this past Saturday for a birthday party. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and it appears relatively new. Now on to the reason why I gave it 3 stars. There were 12 in our party and only one server. She did a very good job taking care of us however there was a slight wait when we needed something. There appeared to be other servers standing around the bar that could have helped but I guess they had other things to do. Now on to the food. UE has an awesome menu with the ability to order alcoholic drinks. I ordered the Avocado toast with scrambled eggs. The toast was tough and difficult to cut with a butter knife. I had to get a steak knife and it was still difficult. My sister was having the same problem. It was like the toast was sitting around for a while getting stale with the avocado sitting on top until you order the egg. The side salad was good. My brother thought that his chicken and waffle was subpar and the gravy had an aftertaste. There were a few others disappointed with their food but for the most part it was acceptable fare.
