My Doctor of all people recommended this spot during a random conversation about the best restaurants in Dallas. I had never heard of it because I live pretty far away but glad He brought it up. This place is AMAZING. Seems like they just opened, so the food might be a little slow coming out, but it's definitely worth it. The chicken nuggets are perfect, almost like popcorn chicken. The curly fries were excellent, very well seasoned, and crispy. The best part of the meal was the churro donut holes and honey. They melt in your mouth, and are one of the best deserts I've had recently. This place is amazing, you should definitely give it a shot. read more

I ordered the bone in wings both atomic and buffalo/hot for delivery- very excited for wings with a smoked flavor! Right away I noticed the intense smoke smell - I couldn't wait to plate them to try one. WHOA!!! I tried the other flavor (not knowing which was which - neither of them even close to what I expected as their "hottest" options). I couldn't stomach another bite! (so disappointed) The "smoke" flavor was so intense I couldn't taste anything else - not even the sauce, which there was barely any on them anyway. After making something else for dinner (yes, I would eat just wings for dinner I love them so much), I still noticed the intense smell of smoke in my kitchen, so I threw them away and opened my apartment windows. After awhile the smell wouldn't go away (note my favorite smell in the world is cedar bonfire), so I had to take my trash out of the apartment. I had called right away after trying the wings and talked to "Tim" and made him aware that the wings were way too "smoked" to enjoy, to which his response was, "...we always appreciate feedback...". It still bothered me later that I didn't know if that's how they are supposed to be or if something was legit wrong in the kitchen. I really wanted to be able to order from them again as I am handicapped and always looking for great delivery options - especially wings! So after doing some web research, I found out the "Tim" I talked to was the Executive Chef! So I called back and asked for Tim. I asked if he had found out if there was anything that he found that could have possibly been wrong with the wings tonight. I refuted that the wings tasted like they were bathed in "liquid smoke" (an abomination to BBQ enthusiasts), but he said nothing was out of the ordinary with the wings tonight. I told him that I had to throw them out because I couldn't eat them and smelled up my entire apartment, and again he apologized. From my research I found out they had only been open a few months, so I wished him luck and...after a pause, we hung up. After working in restaurants myself, I was kind of baffled! I've worked from every kind of restaurant you can think of from pancake houses to the top five restaurants in the US - even as a restaurant AGM myself - I've NEVER seen an unsatisfied customer be dismissed so easily - especially in a new restaurant where every opinion matters. No offer for a refund or to order again on their nickel - nuthin'! I've had plenty of smoked chicken and wings - even pride myself on my own BBQ/smoking skills, so maybe it's just me - but I guarantee if you're watching a football game and want to chow down on a couple dozen wings - the "smoke" is too overpowering to really enjoy just a couple...maybe. I don't know what they are "smoking " at Bad Chicken, but maybe that's how they came up with marshmallow sauce on fries. Whatever the case, I wish the best of luck to Chef Tim (who has way to much time to be answering the phone all night??) and the Bad Chicken. I hope they have a drawing board in the kitchen, cause they're going to need it! Hard pass! (By the way, any 5 star reviews notice they all hit on "food and atmosphere" specifically- canned language like "smoked then fried". And atmosphere? From the picks online, there IS no atmosphere? This use to be the old sonic which was then fast way which then became a bbq joint and now it's bad chicken. The atmosphere is very casual and parking was easy. Here is what I tried. Smash burger...had a bite. It was good and the patties were crispy edges like I love but the bun was too big and made the burger kinda mid tasting. The bun to meat ratio is off. It was a double and still it was too much bun for me. Still decent though. Next, wings...wings are smoked then flash fried. I guess I'm not a big smoked wings fan. They def had smoke flavor and wings were moist and juicy. I think I would have enjoyed them more without the smoke. Curly fries good. The Wingbsauce I chose was hot lemon pepper. They were really spicy and sauce was good but too spicy to enjoy. Maybe I picked the wrong sauce. The chicken nuggets are small but very tender and good. Tried the hot honey sauce. Not a fan. I also had a bit of the bad chicken sandwich. That was probably the best thing I tasted. My wife loved the lemon icebox pie but I was not in agreement. Overall place was good but I dropped $60 on an overall meal for 5 that I felt was very mediocre. We all agreed that overall it was about a 6-7 outta 10. This place is far from home so I don't think I'll be back but overall it was decent. If you do go I'd ask them to let you try a sauce before committing. I think my sauce choices were bad. Chicken was tender and juicy so I know they are doing something right. Oh and the ranch looked like it was gonna be awesome but it was kinda weak. Great sweet tea though. read more

I was super disappointed picking this restaurant over Wingstop. I placed an order to go and glad I checked my food order before walking out cause they had forgotten my nuggets. They don't cover their fries for to go orders they just place the fries in an open cup. The portions are tiny and not worth the price. They definitely live up to their name. After reading some reviews on Yelp, decided to try the cheesecake egg rolls as well. The churro donuts were really good but the cheesecake egg rolls were off the hook! Really delicious! We ordered the smoked wings with bang bang sauce and honey habanero sauce, plain nugget bowl, side of curly fries, carrots and celery, and a Rice Krispy! The smoked wings were amazing, the chicken nuggets were addicting, and I loved the Sweet Thai sauce! Because the wings are smoked, I felt like the smoky flavor overpowered the wing sauce a little bit, but a little extra sauce on the side helped balance it out. The curly fries were good, but a tad bit on the salty side - nothing ranch couldn't fix though. You could tell the carrots and celery were cut fresh in house, and that their sauces were homemade. Rice Krispy was perfection. The man helping me seemed like the manager or owner, and was super nice and personable! Can't wait to go back! read more

Interesting idea, not the best execution. Tried this place on a whim, and the counter service is quick and efficient and the place has a perfectly pleasant atmosphere. I was Intrigued by the smoked-then-fried wing concept, but it was a fail on two counts. The meat was dried out, and the skin was not crispy (which is an important aspect of wings for me.). Also, not a negative but just a note that the Buffalo medium was spicier than I would have expected. They also have nuggets and sandwiches on the menu which could conceivably be better than the wings. read more

Don't let the name fool you. We got the wings, Buffalo bomb and cheesecake egg rolls. All were yummy. My favorite was the Buffalo bomb which was small nuggets and fries with sauce on top.
