    Chicken MED Tenders

Foods great! Inside of Chicken always white! Flavor always on point! And looks are always presentable!

Old school phone wall for the hot chicken hotline!!

We kept passing by Lucky's Hot Chicken and admiring the fact that they made such a cool looking restaurant and left the historical integrity of the structure intact when it first opened and had been meaning to come by and try it out. We finally stopped in and I'm so glad that we did, I got the red velvet waffle with chicken strips and I wasn't anticipating for the waffle to have much of the red velvet flavor but it really did and that was pleasantly surprised. The three chicken tenders that come with it were huge, hot and juicy. I wasn't totally sure of the spice level so I went with "Feeling Lucky" which was pretty mild but still delicious and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was creamy and the flavor of the cheese sauce reminded me a little of cheez whiz so it brought back a little bit of childhood nostalgia that I really liked it. Not as good as a baked mac and cheese would be with the golden cheese crust on top but it was still good nonetheless. My husband got a chicken wrap with fried okra and he said it was really tasty, I snuck a couple of pieces of his okra and really enjoyed it!! What's his is mine, right? The building is super cool and the decor is fun and unique and it's a great place to stop in for some hot chicken whether you're hanging out with friends or want a fun date spot.

The ambience reminds me of an old 50s diner that you see on TV. The service was great and super friendly. The food is freaking amazing. We just happen to drive by this place and it looked interesting so we decided to try it. So glad we did. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other yummy menu items. I'll probably grab a beer next time.

Really well seasoned everything! Got the buffalo wings and they were average spice level- not too saucy, either. The mac n cheese also had a little heat but a pleasant amount in my opinion. The retro atmosphere and staff were great as well!

Always drive past Lucky's and decided to give it a go. Was feeling a smash burger and they said they have one. Ordered the smash burger with fries, Mac and cheese and the tenders with medium heat. The "smash" burger wasn't really a flat patty but it was still good. The Mac and cheese was super watery, it was not the best to me. Fries were fresh and just regular crinkle fries. The tenders were the best thing and had a lot of flavor. Some with probably think it's over-seasoned. I got a side of the lucky sauce and that was a very good sauce. The food was all fresh and it was a lot of room for seating and had a lot decor around. Idk if I'll go back. Maybe for the tenders..check em out.

Pretty solid hot chicken place. Got the big Lou combo with shake fries to go plus a frozen margarita. Frozen cocktails for $6.99 is a steal! I got the medium hot level and it was a lot spicier than expected but still delicious.

This is my 2nd place coming here. 1st time was good, but I ordered the wrong spice level. This time I made sure I got the right level and customer service was good. The tenders came out cold and since we paid $31, we let the guy know about it. All they did was refry the same tenders, which made them super hard and crunchy (came out too quick for it to be fresh). I should have just asked for my money back. The place looks run down a bit since the first time I came. Bums inside and out, did not smell very good inside. Nice jams while eating but overall, I should have taken my money elsewhere.

The Big Lou sandwich was great. Really like the old school diner feel. The season on the fries were great. Mac and cheese could be better. Overall, a great dining experience.

This place is a gem. Been to hot chicken spots around the city and this topped them on a ton of aspects. The chicken sando is hella fresh and hits the spot hard. The ambiance is great too (mom and pop dinner feel). Even the price is hella reasonable Y'all gotta check it out! This is my new fav spot in the city. Pro tip: the feeling lucky is comparable to chick-fil-a spicy sandwhich

This place looks so neat! I really wanted to like it but I was disappointed. The chicken looked seasoned but had no flavor. It was just the slightest taste of paprika. I don't know if it was an off day or what but there's better hot chicken elsewhere. At least the fries were good.

Came to check this place bc I've heard good things about it. The inside looks super cool! The employees are very welcoming. I ordered the tenders & the boneless wings damn lucky flavored (medium) & I will say, IT WAS SPICY for medium. It was so good but hard to overcome the spice.

    Great meal!

This place was so delicious!!! Food was a 10/10! On the other hand! CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS 1000/1000 such amazing workers! One of the managers I can't remember her name was (Carissa, maybe!) and the other one was Audrey I believe! They went above and beyond so awesome! They made the place so welcoming! great people!

Ask the Community - Lucky’s Hot Chicken

How many sauces are included with a meal?

None you have to buy the sauces yourself

Are fries included with the sandwich? I've been twice and ordered a sandwich both times. The first time the counter person said fries were included and I got them. The second time I ordered the same thing and there were no fries when I got home.

I believe they aren't included! When I went this past weekend that was the case!

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.

It is also disability easy to maneuver if you are in a wheelchair. The interior is small on the inside and nicely decorated with a large ode to chicken. This is not a problem for those who need to bring in a wheelchair, rollater, walker, or stroller as they are impeccablely supportive, as well as very accommodating. On busy days that we have decided to dine in at this establishment, it has never been a problem to manipulate my varied tools throughout the restaurant. Parking sometimes can be a little tight but don't let that worry you because people are always coming and going. For details regarding our most recent meal, please see the following: Appetizer: We order the Deviled Eggs. The eggs were seasoned appropriately and not too salty. Moreover, the eggs were not over cooked and the yolks we nicely whipped. Entry: I order the chicken and waffles while my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry whist the waffle was fluffy with little crispy edges. It was a textural wonderland. I personally do not like syrup or other toppings on my waffles (weird I know) however my husband does and he said the syrup was good. Consequently, when I eat waffles, texture and flavor really matter to me. It was slightly sweet and paired nicely with the seasoned chicken. Additionally, the chicken fried steak melted on our tongues like butter. The meat was not over cooked, tender and the steak cut smoothly on our knives. The umami flavor of the steak and the robust yet well rounded seasoning of the breading paired nicely with the buttery mashed potatoes and the white gravy that accompanied the meal. We have enjoyed eating at this restaurant many times. I have never had overcooked or undercooked chicken. Each time, I am greeted with a kind smile and service is quick especially on busy times. Needless to say that I recommend this restaurant. Yet since this is a review, I will say it. I recommend this restaurant. Happy Eating. I ordered pickup, and everything was packed neatly and optimally for the chicken to remain crispy. The main reason why I'm docking off 1 star is some of the flavors/seasonings are too sweet. I know Korean food often leans into sweet flavors, but it was too much for me. I had to add a bunch of cayenne pepper to my Honey Garlic wings to balance it out. The cheesling fries were also too sugary for me. If there was slightly less sugar, they would've otherwise been perfect, because the fries themselves were cooked perfectly and, and I loved the cheese seasoning (minus the amount of sugar). Lastly, the pickled radish side was also too saccharine. I also ordered the spicy original wings, which were much more enjoyable. I know it's diabolical, but the American in me yearns for some dairy-based dipping sauce with my fried chicken. Luckily, I can customize to my taste buds at home, but I do see that as a personal deterrent for eating in-person.

Yes, DFW, Hattie B's has arrived in our region, and the same delicious chicken has come with it. I went in with side eye and doubt and left will a full stomach and a thirst for milk. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The red neon bars that line the roof act like a beacon leading you straight to Hattie's B. The white building has plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and even cornhole (although it seems misplaced). It's like someone took the Hattie B's in Nashville and imported it straight into Dallas. It's fast casual, so T-shirts and flipflops will fit right in. 1 Star. Service - You get in line, order, get a number, and the friendly staff will bring out our order. On our visit, the staff noticed the line getting long, so they opened up another station and took our order. They were very friendly and extra patient as we looked over the menu. 1 Star. Food - I had the fried chicken sandwich with the Sweet & Smoky Dry Rub and a side of Baked Beans. The chicken was plump, juicy, and easily eclipsed the size of the pillow soft bun. The chicken was piping hot, but the Cole slaw cooled the heat and the bun with Comeback Sauce held it all together. And the Baked Beans were the perfect side. Soft, sweet, and packed with bacon in every bite. But perhaps the best bite I had was the Nashville Hot Chicken Wings that had extra fried craggle to hold the extra heat. It's a slow burn that I countered with Banana Pudding (of course). A fantastic end to a fantastic meal. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. You can customize your sandwich any way you want. I chose Sweet & Smokey, but I'm tempted to try the Southern style (because they're open on Sunday). But those Nashville Hot Chicken Wings will ultimately be the reason I return. 1 Star.
