    Truffle Salmon Roll
    Priyanshu S.

Spent 50 for a burger, onion rings, and the salmon sushi. Quite expensive imo This is my top 2 burger in DFW and I will definitely be returning just for that. It's delicious and juicy and not tall. I also appreciate that they cut it in half. It runs about 16 bucks but it's very worth it. 9.3/10. The salmon sushi was quite average. It was good for what it is but nothing crazy. I'd skip this next time 6.5/10. The onion rings were awesome. I didn't even get to eat them hot but I still loved them. 8/10 Nice crisp and has a good onion flavor

Both items, the Doda Burger and Crunchy Toro Roll, with two bottles of water and tip were about 50 bucks. You know what, that's perfectly fine with me. Both items were absolutely delicious and you can really taste the quality in the ingredients. The owner who greeted us was extremely polite and welcoming. I don't mind paying this kind of money when the value matches the experience. Absolutely recommend!

If you love Japanese fusion and burgers, you'll love Doda! My partner and I stopped by this gem on Friday for an early dinner and we were blown away. When we arrived around 6:30, the place was empty. We were immediately greeted and advised we could order at the screen and seat wherever we'd like. The place is extremely clean. Quaint and minimalist which I loved. After ordering, our food arrived not long after. We opted for the burger, fries and stir fried noodles. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I'll even go as far as saying the burger is one of the best I've had in Dallas. At the end of our meal, the owner gifted us with a taste of various seasonal fruits which was also fresh. And very nice palate cleanser after savory food. All in all, outstanding and needless to say we'll be back. But hey, don't take my word for it, give them a visit and you won't be disappointed.

I visited Doda on a Thursday night for dinner after hearing good things about them on social media. I was intrigued by their diverse menu which has wagyu burgers, sushi, fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, and more. We were greeted by the owner who was super friendly. The restaurant is bright with plenty of seating. We got a burger and fries which came out to $30 - pretty steep for one meal. However, they make the meat and buns in house, and the flavor does make up for the price. I do wish the hamburger buns were a bit more firm - the patty is moist and there's sauce on the burger so the bun gets soft after a couple bites. I love cucumbers in the burger though - it adds a nice freshness! The doda fries are very good, and I like the dipping sauce that comes with it. The owner gave a slice of complementary matcha tiramisu which was so kind. It was yummy with the perfect amount of sweetness, I was impressed! Overall, we would come back to try more of their menu!

Friendly welcome from the staff as I walked in. Ordered at a kiosk which was easy. Staff brought the food out when it was ready. I had the Doda Burger, onion rings and a negihama roll (yellowtail and scallions). I'm always a sucker for those rolls and this one was delicious. The fish tasted very fresh and succulent and the combination with the scallions was lovely. The burger was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fresh cucumber/ pickle slices. It's a messy, juicy Wagyu burger cooked nicely medium and I devoured it. Somehow made it through the meal with the two napkins they provided but I easily could have used 8 napkins. It was a struggle not to lick my fingers lol! It's a darn good burger. The onion rings were piping hot and they brought two aiolis for me to dip them in as well as ketchup. Super lightly fried - they were outstanding. All in all a delicious late lunch albeit it was $50+ ( the roll was $19.99). I enjoyed it though - everything was high quality and if you just went for burgers and fries and/ or onion rings it would be in the ballpark as most burger joints. The staff checked on me multiple times and gave me a complimentary dark chocolate which capped off the meal nicely. Not too big inside but they did also have a front deck with plenty of outdoor seating.

Doda is a Kazakh-owned burger shop in Dallas and I have always known about it but have never tried it till now. I used to go here all the time when it used to be called Invasion which was known for their chicken sandwiches. They make Wagyu hand burgers and serve some sushi as well. My dad and I got their doda and kimchi burger with a side of their doda fries. The doda burger includes toppings of a typical burger with pickled onions and their special doda sauce. They bake their buns in house daily. These burgers were so huge too. I'm not going to lie, this is probably the most tender, easy to bite burger patty that I've ever eaten. The meat was very juicy as well. It had a very beefy flavor and I enjoyed it a lot. We also requested for grilled onions in our burger and they didn't charge us for it. The kimchi burger included Napa cabbage kimchi and spicy mayo. The burger was solid as well but the kimchi is not spicy at all. The doda fries are topped with Parmesan, parsley, furikake, and chili ponzu aioli. I wasn't expecting the sauce to be thick. I'm glad the aioli was given on the side because the fries were already pretty salty so it didn't need the aioli at all. The owner came by and gave us some free Ferrero rocher chocolate. He apparently used to be a sushi chef, which is why there are a lot of Japanese items and sushi on the menu. Their food is on the pricy side but you can taste the quality in it.

We stopped by Doda early on a Saturday evening and had no trouble finding a table. I ordered the Doda Burger with Doda Fries, while my wife went for the Doda Fried Rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The Doda Burger was delicious, though next time I'd try the Classic Burger to really savor the wagyu patty on its own. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and excellent with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce. Our food arrived in good time, and the patio offered a peaceful, relaxed setting to enjoy the meal. Overall, a great spot with fantastic food and a chill atmosphere.

Cool new spot in East Dallas. Sushi, classic Asian dishes, & burgers! Yep, burgers. Though two of the three burgers offer an Asian spin. We had sushi. Really good. Looking forward to trying the burgers. Service was awesome. Owner was super-nice and service-focused!

Impressive! SUPER CLEAN! Really good food! I was unsure about the parking as I parked next door. Ever walked up to an order counter and felt like they were really thrilled you were there? That was this experience! Seriously, entire ordering and food pick up. It was a to go order for their classic burger and dumplings (plus onion rings). First, these onion rings must be the lightest and most flavorful ones in Texas! The Wagyu beef classic is magically delicious! It's magic as that big burger disappeared. I actually felt sad I ate it so quickly! The dumplings are spiced quite well! One could tell these were made for smaller bites to enjoy all of them! Pricey, but service and quality was well worth it! This is a true 5 star if not 6 star experience. This place will have a line soon!

I was very skeptical at first when I read this place serves wagyu burgers and sushi but I'm glad I still tried this hidden gym. When you walk in it's fairly plain atmosphere but their selection of food is baffling: they have truffle fries, burgers, sushi, orange chicken, short ribs. Their wagyu burgers are definitely worth the hype but if you go I recommend sample all things as I was blown away by how well they did a variety of things. The owners that work there bring out chocolates to customers and I think it's a great touch to the service they want to instill. They've built something unique that does it well in the hospital district and I hope it's here to stay because I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it

Dragon Roll (8 pcs) and Doda Burger

This tiny spot is a surprise gem !! The menu is not huge. The taste of the food is fantastic! They use really great ingredients- burger from Wagyu beef and california rolls use real snow crab meat. Good ingredients and good flavoring make the food just simple and delicious!! When we walk in, the chef immediately greeted us. The place is simple but clean and well kept! Even the location is very far from us, we make a point when we are in the area to drop in and have tasty food. Not many places you get both burgers and sushi on the same tray definitely recommend Doda !!

No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. Fast, efficient, and the staff was super friendly. 1 Star. Food - Chip's is known for its poppy seed hamburger buns. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes. The restaurant has an iconic look, it's part of Dallas history, and the staff is great. 1 Star.
